There is nothing that is different about the show. The only difference is that the male characters have done the following: a. Got a girlfriend/wife b. Got laid c. Both. When people get laid in sitcoms their entire demeanor changes while the shows formula stays the same.

Instead of mocking him, they should've been good friends and support him, but instead they brought up a very sensible thing Leonard doesn't wanna talk about. So Leonard hit back harder by mentioning Howard still living wih his mother and Raj's selective mutism, embarrassing them even more.
3:20 when Howard made it perfectly clear him and Raj aren't gay but yet they argued like a married gay couple in front of everyone in the cafeteria including Sheldon.
I feel so sorry for Leonard. He has such a hard time with women and wanting to be loved it's all his mom's fault! No wonder he's so subservient to Sheldon; he's used to being like that with his mother.

This is one of my favorite scenes. Leonard is always being taken advantage of or just abused, so it’s nice to see him defense himself for a change. It also shows his brilliance, yet another thing that got downplayed over the years. We have a show about Sheldon as a kid where we see that he was very loved, but from what we know, the same was not white true for Leonard, so it irks me even more that this reality continues when he grows up. Leonard’s “go” was deeply satisfying. ^^ Basically equivalent to an “Unleash the lions!”
What I love about this scene is that it does indeed show that Leonard and his mom are clearly spaced up, but when Leonard 'needs' his mom, she just rips them apart reminding us that she is 'still' his mother and would fight for him.
Christine Baranski is an *incredible actress,* who can take ANY role and knock it clear out of the park. In Mamma Mia, her rendition of "Does Your Mother Know?" was a highlight --especially when you think of it being sung by Dr. Beverly Hofstetter!
