I got in on the Kickstarter for this machine, so I'll be testing it out whenever it ships. It seems like a bit step up for them compared to their previous machines, including the MP200. Hopefully they come through and finally move away from some of the questionable practices because like the MP200, a LOT of people are already putting their money behind this new Kickstarter. I'm cautiously optimistic at this point.
There are so many options out there to choose from and none of them are perfect including this YW machine. I do believe that at the kickstarter price it's going to be a hard machine to beat as far as price per value. I wish you the best with your search.
Awesome video and based on your review, I did order the YesWelder. However, due to very poor customer service and with the errorously charging and fraudulently collecting a city sales tax which I am not required to pay, I cancelled my order and YesWelder is providing a 100% refund. YesWelder customer service refused to refund the fraudulently collected city sales tax and stood their ground on ignorance and laziness, and "relying" on their "system" to "automatically" charge for said taxes. PSA: I do recommend for those who have made a purchase with YesWelder to double check their invoices for accuracy of all charges. I live in the county, not the city limits, and therefore I am not required to pay a city sales tax. For charging me a city sales tax was in error. This information was in fact confirmed by me calling the "City" revenue department. Not only did YesWelder lost the sale because of the fraudulent collection of city sales tax (in my situation), they lost a customer and any possible repeat sales.
Well that's a bummer to hear. I've developed a habit of reviewing the order and all the charges prior to hitting the submit button these days. If the order doesn't look correct or there are charges that shouldn't be there then I don't submit the order until I get it worked out. It will prevent a person from getting into the situation you have experienced. Good luck to you with your search Mikell.
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 Yes you are correct. Lesson learned. I was looking forward to receiving my 7-n-1 welder and start the learning process. I'll just have to seek elsewhere for my needs. I'm not in it as a business, but as a hobby, therapy, and keeping myself actively learning.
I think the durability and build quality are both an 8 out of 10. The machine feels solid and appears as good if not better than any of the previous YesWelder machines I've reviewed. Only one negative I can think of so far. The machine has two cooling fans. It seem as one is for the TIG portion and it is temp controlled and I really like that. The second fan appears as though it's for the plasma cutter and it runs constantly. It may cool something else as well but it would be nice if it was also a temp controlled fan and only came on as needed.
On another review in DC Tig the foot pedal option was not there, does the machine have a normal HF start DC Tig foot pedal option? SO you have full control over the amperage, and the only option at that point should be pre and post flow.
Thank you for the video! This answered some of my questions. I had thought this also did MIG as well. Unfortunate it doesn't as that would be a complete all in one. However still a great deal even with buying a Yes Welder MIG I am still saving a bunch of money rather than going Miller Multimatic 220 plus I will have a plasma to use. I also will be changing my TIG torch once I receive it as that looks to be very bulky! Question: Why would you use an external air compressor versus just using the internal one?
You are welcome BBB. That's a good question! IMO the whole point is to not have to use or even have an external compressor. Maybe they made it that way just for another option and really no extra cost to produce it.
would you buy the tig 205 Yeswelder or the 250p Yeswelder tig?? I want to get into tig welding and have watched your Yeswelder videos. Do you know if the tig 205 will do stainless and if so are they built to last?? Thank you, B
That's a tough question to answer because I haven't used either of those machines myself. Any DC tig machine is capable of welding stainless. An AC capable machine is required to tig weld aluminum. I would say if you can afford it I would get the 250 over the 205 so as you learn you will have a machine that can do a little thicker material due to the extra power. IMO these are not industrial machines but affordable and great for learning and home hobby use. I have one of the original YW tig 250P AC/DC that I've been using for four years now and it's still going strong. Well worth the money IMO!
My wife saved and bought me a Cut50 plasma cutter. Worked great until the warranty was over, then quit. Is this going to be more unreliable junk from China? I need something like this but I will wait at least another year or two to see long term reviews and reliability. And I have no faith is those onboard air compressors.
I wish these review videos would answer the most important question first, how much it costs so I don't waste my time watching something that's way out of my price range.
Prices are constantly changing and so are sale prices. I leave product links in my video descriptions so you can see the current price at the moment you are searching. I don't think it's really necessary to display the input voltage. I'd say just throw an led or like a box with a check on the screen showing if you're on 110 or 220. I also think an air pressure display for the plasma cutter would be a good feature. Otherwise seems like another solid machine from yeswelder
That because it supports more than just 110 or 220. With how they made it operate between 96-260 volt range allows the same unit to be used in any country without any sort of adapter.
Another useful aspect of showing the input voltage is seeing when/if it dips as you're using the machine - that tells you when you've got inadequate wiring between the source and the welder. You can't get that out of just a 110/220 LED.
They are counting the pulse settings in both AC and DC TIG. The TIG features include a HF arc start and the ability to connect a foot pedal. An internal air compressor for the plasma cutter and a "no touch" pilot arc with blow back arc start that is suitable for most plasma cutting table set ups. The MP200 is a more basic machine including the MIG process. The CT2050 is a more advanced machine mainly focusing on the AC and DC TIG operations with the ability to TIG weld aluminum as well as some advanced plasma cutting features.

@@squirts1 good question, now I'm curious 🤔
DIY Homestead Projects.. I will have to check into this welder. Would love to have it..
So far I think it is a nice machine. I think many people would be satisfied to have a machine like this in the shop.
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 Yes sir I definitely need a better machine..

Wow what a great educational video on how to use the Yes welder. The machine I am looking at will not work for the plasma cutter . Any suggestions ?

How is this welder a 7 in 1 but does not perform MIG? Their model MP200 is a 5 in 1 one and has more features and processes including MIG.

What is the adjustment range on pulse mode?
20-250 pulses per second
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 Is there both a high and low level pulse or is it only high?
Just one pulse setting but that one setting it will do the entire 20-250 range.
Why didn't you cut with the internal air compressor?
All cutting in this video was done using the internal air compressor.
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 for some reason I thought you said you were using external air.
No problem, all cuts in the video were using the internal air compressor.
