- Greetings fellow travelers join us for the Full Tour of The Island in Pigeon Forge. This is a giant family fun center and entertainment complex beside the LeConte Center. It includes over sixty retail shops, many popular restaurants, live music, rides, games, and a beautiful dancing fountain to set the stage. The Island is open year-round with little variation for business hours during holidays. It was officially opened in the spring of 2014.
The Island’s centerpiece is a massive, 200-foot Ferris wheel that promises to deliver some of the most breathtaking views in the Smokies. Dubbed the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, the attraction features 42 climate-controlled gondolas for year-round rides. It is is the largest observation wheel in Tennessee. The ride’s experience provides visitors panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains from each of the observation gondolas which seat up to 8 guests.
Whether you're looking for thrilling twists and turns or good ole' family fun, the new rides at The Island Pigeon Forge promise to deliver. In addition to The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, The Island is host to more than a dozen rides - from thrilling, adrenaline-pumping drop rides, to kid friendly track rides for the younger ones.

The best deal for the kids is to buy a wristband for the rides. The wristbands are good for 48 hours unlimited rides with the exception of the ropes course. You can pay 10 dollars extra for a one time use ropes course if you purchase the wristband at 39.99. Way cheaper than paying 5.99 for each ride Just an fyi
