Quick tip: When you're duping Zonai Devices, do it next to a high wall instead of a low wall. If you do it next to a high wall, it will put the Zonai Devices directly into your inventory (unless of course you want to place the zonai devices on the ground)
Make sure it's a high, wide wall. If you are too close to the edge of the wall, the items will appear next to the wall, just like they did on top of the low wall.
Hey swanny I discovered a way to duplicate the zonite devices themself while doing this glitch lol. Go behind Hudson’s daughters room face that wall and then face the wall. Press start and pull out 10 items. It will say you can’t pull that out here but your zonite items will go up by 10 each time. No jumping or anything. Necessary. Just press y and + after and it will dupe 10
@@Smoothjedi I can only get it to work but you have to be gliding near the wall so it says you can’t take that out here. Kinda tricky to do I think bc if you get too close to the wall you will grab the wall and if you’re too far way the duplication won’t go into your inventory.
@@Smoothjedi You don’t even have to shield jump. Go to the outer gate wall that leads to hyrule castle right outside lookout landing as if you were going to the castle for the first time. The big gray kinda destroyed wall you first encounter on the path. Stand next to one of the walls, with about a Link worth of distance between yourself and the wall (may need to move slightly closer or farther from the wall, experiment) once you find it you don’t even have to move or jump. Stand there, pull out the devices, then press Y+B, once you find that sweet spot you can do this over and over.
This is so much easier especially for live items like lizards, frogs, butterflies, etc. Thank you! PS: A great place I found to do the shield surf was into the water of the Great Fairy fountains. Won't hurt your shields and you'll also be right next to a fountain if needed to upgrade your great. It can also help keep the items you drop contained if you're doing that method.
And if you are floating high enough, you can repeat doing this multiple times while in the air duplicating star fragments. It will look like you are sh*tting free star fragments. :)
I haven’t read my strategy anywhere so here it is: it’s very similar, except that you don’t need to worry so much about finding something to jump off of. Make a glider shield, take a couple steps and jump, shield surf, Y + B after holding your items, press B again to dismount the shield before hitting the ground to avoid damaging the shield. Quickly reset and do it again tapping + to go back to your inventory which will take you right to the item of choice since you just picked it up. The last part is the most notable, because it keeps things just as efficient and you never have to keep searching for your item again each time you open the menu. Also, you can just jump in place but the walking/running start helps to give you more time to dismount the shield.
If you go to the Tabantha Sky Archipelago where the gravity is less, you don't even have to shield jump... just jump and pull out glider then duplicate.
For anyone that doesn't know: there is a sweet spot for zonai devices where if it can't drop them into the world but is just barely able to, it doesn't spawn into the world, but the game thinks the items are existing and then puts them back into your inventory.

For duplicating bomb flowers find a spot with a climbable shortish rock surrounded by water, i suggest tarry town on a sky island debris you can do this with as many bomb flowers without them blowing up on you!
You can easily do bomb flowers without water. Just paraglide from a short height (like bed height) and do the glitch. You can also just jump off any height but just wait until you are low to the ground before doing the dupe. Of course, you can only do 5 at a time, but really works anywhere.
also, I got 13 fairies right now, it works, just make sure you dont jumpt from that high of a spot. The main beginning area[Look out landing] I just jump off from the little stone round corner in the middle and it works
With fairies, I go to Link's home, jump off the bed, paraglide, and do the glitch. Much easier to grab all the fairies. You have less lag to grab them with the paraglider than with shield surfing.

The little enclosure next to Ina-Isah shrine is a good place to dupe the Zonai Devices. Position yourself so you can't put any on the ground and itll say "you can't do that here" but it dupes them in your inventory.
@@SwanyPlaysGames sure, but i find just spamming shieldsurf and letting the mats pile up faster. Pick it all up when youre done (you'll eventually pick up one with each shieldjump tho)
Tip for duplicating Bugs as they are VERY fast gering away (faster than lizards or fairies): Paraglide from sth above and press +Button RIGHT BEFORE the moment you land. Then perform the duplication (Hold bugs, press Y and B) and immediately spam A afterwards. That way you can catch em. Isnt 100% consistent but I got it multiple times. Save your game before, in case dupe doesnt work you‘ll lose some.
if you're wearing stealth or have a stealth buff catching bugs/fairies/creatures becomes slightly easier because you have a bit longer before they scatter. depending on how you land they may not scatter at all.
This glitch reminds me of Fallout 4's materials duplication where you literally press both the scrap and store buttons one after the other and it will duplicate the exact number of materials cause identical items stacked with each other.
@@BodofLegend yeah. Since day 1 of this game, they never patched the glitch. But what they did is make the glitch a bit harder to do. Your timing has to be very precise.
I can imagine that the easiest house to do this in might be Link/Zelda’s house in Hateno because it has a balcony and you don’t need to use the shield just the glider
Since I found this out I wanted to get this off my chest. While I was desperately looking at my map trying to figure out how to get where I want to go I discovered that the depth and surface share more in common then just the terrain. After looking I found out that the light roots and light shrines actually correlate with each other. I don't know if the sky shrines work, and I don't think I'm the first to find this, but I wanted to share it.
When duplicating zonai devices, you can be on a hill steep enough that you can stand while facing the camera towards the hill so the game wouldn't let you take out items, that way you can duplicate and add to your inventory
Okay, so I tried to duplicate Bomb flowers and Muddle buds and that was a lot of epic fails (I have to farm fairies asap now XD)... I ended trying above calm water (small lake for example), and it's perfect now :) Thanks for the tutorial, It's awesome and so simple :)
Personally I have been using hold Shield activate shield surf enter menu Hold items I want to duplicate press Y+B (Also If You do it in Snow Area your Shield Does not take Damage when landing and the item you are duplicating does not need to be the last one) Granted it might not work every single time it comes down to the timing
if you have an 8bitdo adapter (to use your ps4/5 controller on the switch) you can perfect this glitch with the build-in macro funtion... i did that just now and it works 100/100 trys. the macro needs to look like this: Cross Square or Square Cross NOT Cross + Square or Square + Cross. i set the homebutton in the controller profile to NULL so that there is no funtion and set the macro on the home button.

Y and + didn't work for me, but Y and B did. On V1.1.1. EDIT: You need a little bit of air to have time to end the animation while gliding. the non-broken pillars in Lookout Landing are good for this.

Great vid, but u do not need to stand next to a wall to dupe the devices, just tried it in an open area n worked perfectly and also if u don't have the wing equipped to the shield u can catch the fireflies since they'll be alot closer
I found a extremely easy method for certain items: use ultrahand to connect to items (cannot be something like dragon shards) and pick them up. Then use auto build to rebuild it, and it’ll dupe it for the cost of some zonaite. It’s limited, but good for needing items to enhance armour.
If your far enough, on wellspring Island, on top of Zora's domain. You can do a simple jump and you will be suspended for 3-4 seconds maybe even longer
For all of you still using this PRE-1.1.2. Just use Mineru and mount her, and do this. Saves time, and is even faster, especially with the livestock (Bugs / Lizards) No need for Shield Jumps or Paraglider.
I spent the better part of 30 mins getting 1,000 large Zonaite. I’m not about to grind for 3 months trying to get enough crystallized charges for a full set of batteries.
I got 75 large zonalite and went to the mine to trade them for crystals and it says, “You don’t have enough zonalite.” At the top right corner while in this dialogue it says I only have 1 large zonalite. When I look in my inventory, it says I have 75 large zonalite. I reverted to a saved game as I was scared I just corrupted my damn save file / game. Have you taken those zonalite and tried to exchange them yet? Any issues?
just wondering with duping bugs and stuff if u build a box just big enough to do the jump inside would they be able to get away might be a 100% catch rate that way im going to have to try it.
Found out you don’t even have to face the wall. You just do the Y+B button press. and it instantly returns it to your inventory while dropping it on the ground.
Totally doing this to get max batteries! LOL I'm so tired of my power cell running out and farming crystalized charges takes too long.😅 Now I can just duplicate the crystalized charges and bam! Max battery!

On version 1.0 you can actually dupe zonai devices & they get added to your inventory. Im on a sky island, & while standing next to a wall when i press YB at the same time itll say i cant take item out here then add the would be dupes to my inventory😊
This one is kinda like the first one with the bow if ur not fast enough it won’t work, so the shield dupe is still the easiest one, which requires no practice
i have not updated the game at all, so i'm still on the first version, and even though this glitch works, it doesn't work EVERY time. sometimes it just doesn't give the extra items, while with other times i have to (re)adjust the number i want to duplicate.
I don’t know what’s going on with this game (I’ve had to do everything legit so far) but upon attempting this glitch (with Amber) the required items did not increase in number. I don’t have a problem playing this game without glitches or cheats (it’s just a bit more challenging, but it’s definitely worth it).
Just to clarify, you got 103 rubies in one jump or several jumps? The reason I ask is because they're saying you can only get 20 in one jump or it will disappear.
Do it while gliding cause u can do 20 items in one until they start despawning( I recommend the bunker in the bit where you get the glider cause there’s a ladder and it’s easy to spam the glitch)
Is this just for me because after doing this more than 5 times before landing, the ones that dropped first start to disappear so I've stopped dropping them after the 4th time. You still at least then get 20 extra at a time which is more than yesterday and you can continue this as much as you want. Yesterday's you had to stop at 20.
Note this is now patched as of Version 1.1.2. This will work if you are on a version BEFORE 1.1.2.
Yeah just found out today still got full battery and almost completely maxed out all my gear so I had a blast with this. Fun while it lasted

Y+B is better than Y+Plus. Also if you do this at the look out tower you can easily do this 4 times with a single jump. So 20 items every jump.
Be careful, I just lost items. I think it’s too many items on the ground and the game starts deleting them.

This is what I was thinking. Much faster, even go to the Water Temple.
You don’t have to shield jump anywhere. Just her high enough that you can open the glider then do the glitch. Any kind of platform will work.
If you have Mineru you can stand on her and drop items no jumping required ...so much faster...including fairies
Especially since if you're not moving they don't start running
Use a fan for easy lift into the air. I’ve been doing it and works great. Can usually get 4-5 dupes a go.
The spring is also a fun way to do it lol
If you have the last sage you can do this without moving at all. I haven’t seen anyone talking about this but it’s so much faster.

if you are going to dupe bombs make sure you are as close to the ground as possible when you press +
You do not need glidershield or airtime at all, just initiate a shieldsurf and immediately pause and do the glitch, much faster 👍
The air time is so you can do it multiple times before touching the ground.

The best place is the start town in Hyrule while you jump into the sleeping Underground thing

Best way is to use the Construct bot since it counts as you being midair and you don't have to get off it to pick up your dropped items.
You can only do it 4 times max since there’s a 21 item on the ground limit, so basically any cliff can let you dupe 4 times.

Tip:You should go to the gerudo highlands skytower cave because there is snow there and your shield wont brake or get damged in that area

Its even easier by placing a fan on the ground, and using the paraglider. I can farm just about 20 copies per launch.
One step further i made a trap that auto collect and funnels it back to me so I don’t gotta press notbjng but (y + grab +yb +a)

You can jump a little higher with the glider though which makes it easier to dupe up to 20 ingredients. (4x 5 each time)

I use the spring in the Shild so you can use it in the way Up and the way down and with Low Gravity IT IS more efficient.

You can do a simple jump and you will be suspended for 3-4 seconds maybe even longer
You can do it without a shield literally jump off something then get your paraglider out hit the two buttons and it duplicates the items.

Crouch or use stealth armor for fairies and animals that run off. They don't notice you until you stand and move.

Accidentally found out that, while you're gliding, if you open your purah pad binoculars/zoom feature, you can Y+B to your hearts content.

For all of you still using this PRE-1.1.2. Just use Mineru and mount her, and do this. Saves time, and is even faster, especially with the livestock (Bugs / Lizards) No need for Shield Jumps or Paraglider.
I spent the better part of 30 mins getting 1,000 large Zonaite. I’m not about to grind for 3 months trying to get enough crystallized charges for a full set of batteries.
I got 75 large zonalite and went to the mine to trade them for crystals and it says, “You don’t have enough zonalite.” At the top right corner while in this dialogue it says I only have 1 large zonalite. When I look in my inventory, it says I have 75 large zonalite. I reverted to a saved game as I was scared I just corrupted my damn save file / game. Have you taken those zonalite and tried to exchange them yet? Any issues?
Wow the most busted glitch in the game it's so easy to do the bow glitch was annoying and same as the new one, but this has literraly no losses
just wondering with duping bugs and stuff if u build a box just big enough to do the jump inside would they be able to get away might be a 100% catch rate that way im going to have to try it.

Found out you don’t even have to face the wall. You just do the Y+B button press. and it instantly returns it to your inventory while dropping it on the ground.
Totally doing this to get max batteries! LOL I'm so tired of my power cell running out and farming crystalized charges takes too long.😅 Now I can just duplicate the crystalized charges and bam! Max battery!
you don't need a shield with a glider attatched, you can do a regular standing shield jump.
Also found out you can use this glitch to dupe multiple items at once. Tested it with 1 diamond, topaz, ruby. It duped all of em.

I used this to get 999 diamonds with this glitch and now I have over 500k rupees. Thank you so much! And I also did this with giant bright root seeds now I can always light up the Depths. Thank you!!!
imo 999 is overkill, you will never need that much for anything it just ends up wasting time
On version 1.0 you can actually dupe zonai devices & they get added to your inventory. Im on a sky island, & while standing next to a wall when i press YB at the same time itll say i cant take item out here then add the would be dupes to my inventory😊

This one is kinda like the first one with the bow if ur not fast enough it won’t work, so the shield dupe is still the easiest one, which requires no practice
i have not updated the game at all, so i'm still on the first version,
and even though this glitch works, it doesn't work EVERY time.
sometimes it just doesn't give the extra items,
while with other times i have to (re)adjust the number i want to duplicate.
My bad! You can do it with bomb flowers. Just don't do it from too high up. That's when they will go boom!
I don’t know what’s going on with this game (I’ve had to do everything legit so far) but upon attempting this glitch (with Amber) the required items did not increase in number.
I don’t have a problem playing this game without glitches or cheats (it’s just a bit more challenging, but it’s definitely worth it).
This glitch doesn't involve dropping things on the ground! So, what you're gonna do is paraglider, then drop the item on the ground

Be careful that if you plan on dupe’ing bomb flower, fire fruit, shock fruit etc. They may explode. Learned it in a hard way with bombs

glider works best, the shield will eventually break. And I just do all this at one of the balconies in Lookout Landing.
Just to clarify, you got 103 rubies in one jump or several jumps? The reason I ask is because they're saying you can only get 20 in one jump or it will disappear.

In fact you don't even need the paraglider just shield jump
Do it while gliding cause u can do 20 items in one until they start despawning( I recommend the bunker in the bit where you get the glider cause there’s a ladder and it’s easy to spam the glitch)

you dont even need to use a shield hop, just get high enough so you can pop your glider and it works

The mayor's shed is a good place for lizard dups. Also make sure to turn off software auto update cause this gonna patched quickly
Is this just for me because after doing this more than 5 times before landing, the ones that dropped first start to disappear so I've stopped dropping them after the 4th time. You still at least then get 20 extra at a time which is more than yesterday and you can continue this as much as you want. Yesterday's you had to stop at 20.
