I feel like this palette had potential to be something really great, but they hesitated and played it safe. Too safe. Whoever’s running the show at UD does not have their finger on the pulse of what’s happening in the makeup world. It’s more like they’re playing telephone and they just heard about it. But I’m rooting for them to get it together and come out with something awesome!
This is one of those palettes that I’ll be saying, “The packaging made me buy it.”. Lol!

I did order this palette but I used Ulta points, which made it $14.50, otherwise I would have paid too much for it. Definitely a companion palette.
This one just disappointed me when I saw some swatches. I was hoping for proper saturated jewel toned shimmers. They're just too muted and meh for me. Easy pass! Plus yikes, $54?
Color pop shimmers work better. Not paying for something not going use. I still love my So Jaded Palette!!😍
I agree with your thoughts! I remember Stila had those duo jewel toned shadows last year that were more impactful. I'll be sticking to those! You did a great look with the palette though ❤
Very pretty packaging. Not too crazy about the colors. I would buy because of the packaging.
I added this palette to my cart and then... after seeing a few videos... took it back out. BUT I'll grab it when it goes half off!
You’re looking particularly fresh today. Thanks for the review, the packaging is stunning but between this review and Angelica Nyqvist’s I think I’m going to save up for some of the Clionadh stained glass sheer shifting (eye safe) glittery shades, to use as toppers.

I like that UD is going back to the colourful grungy roots but You’re so right some of the colors are repetitive. I think it would be helpful if you maybe recommended some of your singles that you would replace them with? Great video as always xoxo 😻🥰
I love this palette, as I find that it's very handy for the everyday makeup: crease shade, glitter shade all over the lid and you're good to go ! It is for lazy makeup lovers 😂

This palette is so beautiful and I think you did a great job in making it work as best as you can, I feel like makeup companies have figured out the perfect formula: they know how to sell the colour story of a palette over the performance, do you agree? There are so many palettes that look pretty in their presentation and the colour combos plus where the shades are placed in the palette, but the average makeup consumer has so many shades that are similar to these newer palettes. They are all remixes of each other now
Because I have nothing like this I bought it I felt like I could incorporate these with other palettes as well. I will also purchase the mini palette as well to go with this.
The packaging is gorgeous, but I'm not impressed by the performance after watching your review. I had seen swatches on insta too that were lack luster. Definitely not on the to buy list.
Color payoff wasnt good
The packaging is calling to me. The shadows not so much. If it was cheaper I'd buy it for the packaging.
This was a palette I had absolutely no interest in because I thought it was packed glitter, after watching a review and then checking it out in the store, I could not resist and I love it. I get a little fall out by the end of the day, but it wasn’t too bad and using glitter glue could help with that. It looks good on top of almost any other eyeshadow, as well as by itself. I usually pull from more than 1 palette, so I don’t mind pulling other shadows in. I agree that it was a little pricey, I think it would’ve been better off at about $39-$42.

I bought it haven’t used it yet had surgery so I’ll be back in the beauty room soon! I think they went for a few simple neutral matte shades with pops of colors to get quick simple looks! 😊❤️
I completely agree with you on the shade range, I love the colours they went with but a few extra stains or mattes really would’ve made the colour story more cohesive. Lovely look! I wish I was getting this palette!

The reason I like this palette so much is the shimmers are pretty and they aren’t pressed glitters. I have very sensitive eye balls.
I love to pair this one with the So Jaded palette by ColourPop since the tones in each of them play so well together and it lets me anchor these shimmery shades with different colors. This makes sense since they both claim a jewel-toned theme. :)
I love the look of this palette... my favourite eyeshadows to use are not nudes or colors.. more like muted colors. "Wearable" but not boring. So this is perfect for ppl with my taste haha 😅😅 also that packaging 😍😍😍. But I recently bought a batch of clionadh and if they have a sale I'm buying more (those iridescent shades are to die for) so idk if this palette or those eyeshadows will win.

I had the same idea when you were commenting about the shimmer shades. This probably will not be on my holiday wish list, but this is my type of eyeshadow color story vibe. But for $54 dollars, I would get something else in place of this. I am sure a lot of unique releases will come soon. Just waiting for those to come out.
I’ve been pairing them with my other matte shadows... agree with you...it really helps! I love it! 🙌❤️ Eta: I bought half of it with ulta points. That probably helps my love of it! 🤣
Great take on this palette
I think rather than this palette, which seems...dull, I'd rather fork out for either the Sydney Grace collab palette, or the Nikki Tutorials one when it restocks. Both of those seem fresher and more fun, but still have similar duochrome sparkles. Their ones seem more vibrant though. Who knows, could be because they have colourful matts ;)
I loooove some good Amanda-thoughts on how palettes could have been improved.

I believe this is meant to be a companion pallette to a lot of their other pallettes. Especially the Born to Run pallette. I love it. It’s different then a lot of other releases right now. I used a $10 coupon at Ulta to purchase this pallette. I’d rather get it for free though.
These shades seem like they would be good topped for the CP & KL So Jaded palette.

$54 for this palette seems way too much. I’d be down to pick this up for $40, but $54 is too close to the threshold of palettes associated with luxury brands such as CT, ND, Dior, and Chanel

It's cute but it's not as vibrant as I would like. I'm also not a fan of companion palettes, which this seems like to me, I prefer and get more use of companion singles.

I will have to disagree. I even hated it for having one or two mattes in it, I would have loved to have it all in chromatic colors and a few extra ones. Since I do have plenty of other eyeshadows, this would be my color-shifting palette and I would not expect it to have mattes, like, at all.
I like the way it looks but I am skipping it. I love shimmer shadows the most and these seem lackluster to me, especially for the price. I would rather buy myself some more ColourPop's Super Shock Eyeshadows. Their shimmers and metallics are fantastic and rich in color. But I will keep an eye on the minis of this collection. Maybe they will be more to my taste. I do like small, curated eyeshadow palettes.

But they should have included more jewel tones with maybe a bit of duo chrome? to make this palette the bomb.. Great video, big hugs, stay safe. your eye look was so pretty can't wait to see another look to WoW Us.. Maybe a Blue Green something? Or gold and Purple haze kinda look. Loves Ya...
I agree should have been more edgy
since Electric, their colorful palettes are just various shades of browns and very underwhelming colorful mattes plus either satiny or topper-like shimmer shades. The color combination of each of their colorful palettes has been just a bit too old school, like I want to say vintage but it's not the chic vintage, it's just old vintage.
