As always, Alice is a wealth of information! So very interesting, and her collections are simply beautiful. Thank you Anne and Alice for this great video and I look forward to what's next. 💗💗
I just love you're videos. I have been going more and more in the direction of primitives it has been so much fun for me. I am loving the feel that they give you.
lol so what I love is that she enjoys collecting and learning and that we get to benefit from all her knowledge. Her home is so much better than any historical home museum that I’ve ever been in.
What a wonderful video! Alice's collection of treen was amazing! Many thanks to both you and Alice! I am always so happy to see a video from you ,Anne. Plus I always learn so much from Alice!
once again I'm gobsmacked over Alice's collections....my heart just goes pitter pat....so beautiful ....so happy to see so many wonderful pieces all together. It's funny how sometimes you don't thoroughly examine the pieces you own....I do have a pounce pot and immediately went to check the design to see.....oh yeah...the holes are in a star pattern! When you own an antique, you own a piece of history, and I appreciate every single thing I've been fortunate enough to obtain....it's so nice to learn more and to share our collections and knowledge. Thank you Anne & Alice for bringing early American history into our lives in our own homes.
Alice's treenware is just beautiful!!! Wish treenware had been on my radar earlier, as like many truly wonderful antiques, it has become so costly and more difficult to find. Fun video Anne and Alice!
So interesting and informative, especially as you let the expert talk and expand on her subject rather than dominate the conversation yourself. Well done 😊
Really enjoyed this and so interesting. I love and collect treenware, just love the warmth and history of these pieces that have survived years of much use. Great video❤, thank you to Anne for her research and such beautiful examples. I think the smaller ones were for herbs and spices too because their size and shape is similar to mortars so could easily be transferred to the wooden ones with covers.
Yes, Alice. Thanx for doing the hard work for us. The more we learn the better decisions we can make while purchasing antique pieces. We all need to be living and learning!❤
I so enjoy you sharing your antiques and educating us on treenware as well as your other collections. I also wasn’t aware there were painted pieces. I wander how the first lathes were turned.
Good question. I saw someone in Salem working with a lathe. I don’t remember if it was hands or feet. Hmm
