Over the last 2-3 decades, downtown Sarasota has become one of the most quaint and upscale downtown's I have seen. Back in the 80's, downtown Sarasota was nothing to write home about. The city of Sarasota itself has revitalized over that time, with many new exclusive neighborhood developments, and new shopping districts, such as the University Mall corridor. I've lived here over 40 years, and can't imagine living anywhere else!

I just visited Sarasota as I am thinking of moving there. I was so impressed. It is such a lovely, quaint small city with beautiful beaches nearby. This video captures some of the feel.
