    Fuck I wish I could have found this video before doing this project, I had the old foam all over the place and had a hard time removing the backing.

    Superb video! Every step nicely explained plus demonstrated. Apart from all the plastic trim plus rubber edge / strip, that holds the headliner in, is the back of the headliner stuck to the inside of the roof with anything, at all? Or once you have released all around the sides, the headliner drops out?

    • @glencouls
      @glencouls  2 роки тому

      Once you pull the sunshades down and the rubber weather stripping the headliner should pull away.

    PUT something ON THE DIAL DOME, the edge material can get DEEP scratches from the headliner. The mask is not exxagerated, the cardboard really cuts scratches.

      Carla White thank you more to come. I just did a leather repair on my seats and it turned out awesome, color match is good. If you have any little leather snags, scrapes, or pits you may want to see it. Please subscribe for more Crossfire content.

    Another very useful video man thank you!!!! I've had my 05 Crossfire since new and its in rough shape now :( How did you remove the trim on the pillars by the dash?

    • @glencouls
      @glencouls  5 років тому

      That's seen in this video. Cut for time. Basically you just pull them straight back. ua-cam.com/video/eolYvbMlVBU/v-deo.html firmly but not rough.

    If I can figure out how to disconnect the small connector from the universal remote, I'm home free. Can someone help me with that?

    • @glencouls

      Hi, thanks for watching. You jam the corner or your AAA card into the back of the wiring clip, pull up gently on the back flap of the clip so it clears the shark fin locking the two halves of the wire clip together. Once the back flap clears the fin, you are home free, just pull the two apart, like this : ua-cam.com/video/mv4ssbALzvY/v-deo.html I'm on a drive to reach 1000 subscribers, if you think about it, I would greatly appreciate your support. Good luck with your project!

    I once paid 50€ for a bucket of difficult to apply glue, but it sticks. I should not have reused the botched fabric the service cut before. You MUST leave a significant margin and glue some of it on the top. Do not cut the rest so you got margin left for the next glueing.

    I’m running a project on my Crossfires (have a few of them myself) in which I’m looking to install a dual Channel Dashcam system (Thinkware F770) and actually your video has allowed me to see how I can get my headliner out without damaging it : ) For the rear Dashcam (it has to be mounted on the rear Hatch’s Glass) cabling I will need to run the Dashcam wire through one of the cabling pass-through from the roof into the hatch. Would it be possible for you to post some good quality pictures (or send them to me) of the cabling pass-through on each side of the crossfire, so that I can determine on which side will it be best to run the wire through?

    • @glencouls
      @glencouls  7 років тому

      Steve Johnson wow, that's high-tech. ua-cam.com/video/7uhDWR36SiU/v-deo.html The passthrough is pretty narrow, and I don't think I took any real close shots of the passthrough. But I did get some sweet video of the back side of this removal from the hatch and I hope it can help you route your cables. see the link above. I did take a bunch of photos with the headliner out, and I'll see what I can dig up for your cable passthrough view. Good luck with your project, I may try this myself!

      Very nice video! The shots of the bear roof after you removed the headliner are really good. There are plenty people that would certainly appreciate to see that video as well.
      I noticed that on the rear side, three is a double steel beam that acts as a subframe and could not see directly the wiring that goes through either pass-through to the read hatch. The point there is that I’m not sure how would I be able to reach either of the pass-through’s so that I can run the Dashcam wire to the hatch using the pass-through

    Hi thanks for all your videos .. this one in particular..I took mine out and it was a bit awkward to get out but managed it .. as you know you cannot see a lot between the inside roof and the actual headliner as your taking it out .. out fell from between both was a piece of foam about 7 inches in length and about 3 by 3 inch square .. and I just cannot figure where it came from .. it def came from between the inside hardtop and the headliner ?

    • @glencouls
      @glencouls  4 роки тому

      I dont think i have a photo of the back side of the headliner. I might, ill check and see if I have something in the archives.

      glencouls .. thank you .. I did watch your video a few times but never saw one come out of yours .. but as I said it wasn’t that easy to see anything between inside roof and headliner when taking it out .

      Jason Diep hey, good to have an SRT-6 guy watching my page. I'm almost done with steps 2 and 3 too. And I'm rebuilding the center console to have two legit cup holders. Subscribing would let you know when those are available. Thanks for watching!

    How did you remove the universal remote?

    • @glencouls
      @glencouls  7 років тому

      Barry gaffney that part was hard to get on camera. you can remove that after you drop the headliner down to the transmission shifter. its way easier to attack down there, so before you drop the headliner backing down make sure to release all wire connectors in the step you saw me wiggling a bunch of wires and pulling on clips. once it's down, attack the back of the remote, you will see two silver clamps that fold over, or lock behind the headliner. undo those two clamps. then the remote will wiggle free. best of luck, I'm sure once you pull the headliner backing down you will see the clamps and know how to take it out from there. Great question, thanks for your input!
