Thank you. I was really beginning to hate my new Epson printer because of this issue. I studied the user manual but still could not understand Epson's cryptic descriptions of their counter-intuitive menu system. You explained and demonstrated it very clearly, and solved my problem. Now I don't hate it any more (but I do hate their documentation!)
Thank you, finally solved a long pending problem. I always thought the respective software would take care of the issue. But looks like, every time you need to change it in the system and the printer - to be a perfect match, whenever paper type change happens.
Thank you so very much! I spent four days trying to figure this out and two phone calls with Epson. You solve my problem in less than 5 minutes! Absence should be paying you not there phone people...
You are a Godsend. I was struggling to figure out the error message you spoke of, and after watching your excellent video; I was able to resolve it. Thank you so much friend!
Thank you! My first attempts to print on glossy paper with the ET-2800 were disastrous. I didn't know you had to select paper type from the computer AND the printer. With the HP you selected from the computer and you were good to go.
Hi thanks for the great video. I have followed your suggestions but the error message keeps on repeating. The printer is 3 days old and I've had noting but problems. Have you any other suggestions please?????
Thank you. I have the ET-4850 and the setup screen is a little different, but I found the settings you outlined and turned the OFF. Yay! I also use the HIIPO inks, and I have found the HIIPO sublimation paper to be of better quality than most. For anyone reading this here's an FYI: the HIIPO sublimation paper is printed on the ROUGH side; not the smooth side. Cheers, Betty.
Your Video has been Fantastic 👏👏👏 Your Diction is Very Clear & Precise and you have SLOWED YOUR Speech rate DOWN. This makes Understanding YOU And The KNOWLEDGE you have shared So Informative And Extremely Helpful. Thank you so much. It has been a Joy listening to your Presentation. 👏👏👏🇭🇲🇭🇲🇭🇲🇭🇲
Excellent video in minute detail! My question is: Shouldn't the printer accept the settings that my computer sends it? I have used other printers that automatically reflected the change of paper size and quality that I set up on my computer. Is there any advantage to having to go back and forth between my printer and computer?
Thank you for this video, and many of your other videos. You create informative and helpful videos that are easy to understand. I noticed that you have not created a new video in some time, and I hope you are able to resume making videos, as I and so many other people, learn so much from you.
Thank you so much! I printed 4x6 photos and thenchanged it back to what I thought was leeter, insted I had the printer setting on 8x10, not "letter - 8.5 x 11" For weeks I have tried to correct this!!!
Thank you sooo very much for this tutorial. I don't do sublimation but I just got the Epson ET4800 for printing stickers etc and have been getting this error. I have driven myself crazy trying to figure out what the problem was. Thank you thank again!!! Great information and so very much appreciated! 🌺🌻☺
Thank you so much! I spent over an hour on the phone with the Epson help desk before finally hanging up without the issue being resolved. I'm so grateful to you. I print iron-on transfer paper and cardstock occasionally, I was getting the error message and not sure which paper type to select as those two are not an option. What would you suggest?😊
All your videos are really excellent, I like the fact that you take your time to explain things in a very clear matter and that you video all the steps so that one can follow you and understand the why and how. Thank you for sharing and creating these veryful videos. Keep them coming !
Thank you so much for these instructions. I would have to get up and go to the other side of the house in order to override this error. Businesses have returned this printer because they didn't know that the error notice could be shut off.
Wow...stayed up late trying to sort out why I could not just print on any type of paper I want and why the printer only clicked when I specified a size. You answered all my questions and solved my problem. A few times during your problem solving you said you liked to keep the print notice on and if you had to...you just hit the "override". Where is the override...on the printer or the computer?? Thanks again for allowing me to keep the rest of my hair which I was in the process of pulling out.
Hi, if you let the printer continue to provide the error message and you override it when necessary then which settings would be used after you press override? Is it the printer default settings or the settings from the computer print job? I believe this matters because as I understand it there is a big difference in how the ink is physically applied in cases like plain paper vs glossy paper. In other words if the printer default is plain paper and I'm trying to print a photo on glossy what does the printer actually do if I press override? Thank you in advance for any insight you can provide.
Great video. Very clear, but didn't quite solve my problem. My ET2750 used to detect when I put prem gloss photo paper in to print high quality pics from my pc, and prompted me to change the setting. It used to take some time to print but quality was excellent. Now it doesnt send an error message (becos my default setting is plain paper) it just goes ahead and prints a sub quality pic. Do you have another video to address this? Thanks Ron
Thank you! I am almost in tears of relief. I purchased my Epson Ecotank nearly 2 years ago and still using the original ink...I love it...EXCEPT for that paper-mismatch error. I have poor vision so even seeing that little tiny window on the printer requires me to use a lighted magnifying glass. For the past 2 years I have been pressing the okay button to start EVERY print job and usually every page of every print job. It wasn't that hard to do because my computer and printer were right next to each other on the desk, so even though it frustrated me I just kept doing it. I recently moved, though, which necessitates my computer and printer be some distance apart and the inconvenience was much greater. So, finally, today I googled one more time and found this video. IT WORKED!!!! Thank you...Epson should really pay you a commission because there is NOTHING in their system that I have been able to access that simply/adequately explained this seemingly common issue.
Very informative and easy to follow along and understand. HOWEVER, I hope you can solve my issue. My printer does 8.5 wide max. I design in silhouette basic and want to design 11" wide. Is there a way to turn a finished design so it will print out 8.5 tall and 11 wide
Thanks so much. We were having an error message (paper size) issue every time when printing from a mobile phone. This video is very thorough and a saved me a lot of frustration. Thank you!!
I have two questions for the Epson et2850 printer. How do I get access to my photos and files to print? Plus how can I change the print out size so it’s not a full page print out
I did what you said and was still having a problem even after setting both the Epson and the Print dialog Printer Properties to A4. I had also set the Word page setup to A4. I was still getting a fault and I ran it to ground by opening Windows Settings => Devices => Printers and scanners => ET2850 => Manage => Printer Properties => Advanced => Printing Defaults = Layout => Advanced and, finally, I could see that the Paper size was set to Letter. Well hidden Epson/Windows - but I found you!
Thank you so much for this video ..I wounderd why when I put sizes in my laptop to print out and then send it to my EPSON ET Sublimation it can out the wrong size I was so so frustrated..now I no why ...is there an option in the EPSON ET SUBLIMATION PRINTER ...to put sizes in manually rather than the sizes allready in my laptop ...and the sublimation printer says ..hope I've made sence ...I'm trying to sublimation key rings with personal photos on and the sizes are 2.5x3.5 ..and those sizes are not built in my laptop or the printer ...hope you understand love .
I have my printer set up that matches the preferences on the laptop thanks God for your clearly instructions. I do not know if you can help me I am trying printing Normal Design -Mirrored, did not change to mirrored it print regularly. Please help. Thank You I will really appreciate it.
I keep getting the same message when trying to print on acetate sheep on a Epson 2450. I’ve tried all paper type options from procreate (matte/gloss/plain/etc)and no luck. what setting should I set the printer for acetate/transparency printing?
Will you also get this message if the document you are printing will not fully fit on the paper? I had to email something from my phone then resize on the computer and eventually was able to print the document. I'm not at all sure I am going to keep this printer but will slug it out until I am fully disgusted with it. Thanks for a nice understandable video.
I am getting this on my ET-3850 when printing a 4x6 photo from the Epson+ software which I selected 4x6 and have the printer cassette set at 4x6. I don't understand the mismatch but will watch the video and hopefully it fixes the issue.
I'm trying to print an Excel document and I selected "Letter size (8 1/2 × 11)". I opened the settings of the printer on the computer and selected "Letter size (8 1/2 × 11)". Went to the settings of the printer in my Epson ET-4550 and selected "Letter size (8 1/2 × 11)". But for some reason, everytime I try to print the document, a warning pops up saying "Mismatch between paper size in your computer and printer" and says that the current driver settings are in half letter. I don't know what else to do. Please help!
So if I want to print from my phone and it's going to be a document but my computer was still on envelopes from yesterday then I can't use it unless I go into the computer every time and make sure it matches what I'm trying to do on my phone?
Really useful video. Thank you. I also found that if the correct paper size isn't specified in the application, ie. word then it will throw the same error, which is really useful :)
Thanks for your help. just got this printer and was driving me crazing going from letter to 4x6 photo. then back. getting error. this should help me. Thanks
Say I have a file that's first couple pages are 11x17, and after those pages the rest are 8 1/2 x 15 or something. How would I change the preference to print the sizes accordingly?
Great video and perfectly clear instructions but my ET-2760 is giving me the same error when I’m printing double sided. The first/front page prints but it doesn’t pull the paper back in to print the other side. (Load same paper as selected in your print settings). I’ve tried it many times and have reset back to default setting and then tried again and I’m still getting the same error. When I actually print on plain white paper it prints both sides but I’m printing on a medium weight card-stock. I would just select a heavier paper from the setting on the printer and computer but doing this disabled automatic duplex printing. When I have to flip the paper manually it makes the pages front and back to not line up correctly. Any advice would be much appreciated!!
So many printers do not allow auto duplexing on anything other than plain copy paper. Even letterhead is typically prohibited. As for not lining up, possibly something in your duplexing options. Look under Manage, after you check the duplex box. Best of luck.
Thank you so it was the Microsoft IPP Class Driver Advanced Document Settings that persistently held out as Letter when I changed A4 everywhere this hidden setting just was so resistant. Your video helped in the first 3:47
Hello I cant find what you're doing and i have thebl epson workforce 2750...gonna have to find another video that has my exact same printer but i do like your videos
I do not get a mismatch paper size error. When I select a paper size on the printer software on my PC, say for example 11 x 14, it changes it to 16.9 wide (4 x7.11 in). I am using an Epson ET-8550 but this also happened on my workforce 845. After changing it numerous times, it usually stays at what i put it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Thank you I got my question answered at 4:18 mins. I forgot how to get to the settings on the epson ET-2720 to print an #10 env and my Ubuntu computer does not have the same menu as a Windows computer. Thank you very much
Thank you soo much this is such good information. If I may ask a question. I am new to tumbler sublimation. I have made a couple of patterns on Canva. I saved them on 9.3x8.1 then when I print it prints the whole let 8.5x11 sheet. Could you tell me what may be wrong please. TYIA
How do you print to 9.3x8.1? I’m about ready to throw mine out the window after spending $500 on a 5150. I leave it on 8x11 on Canva, went to the actual printer and changed the size and it still prints 8x11 😓😓😓
My issue is trying to print a banner. My Epson 3850 says it can print up to 47". I changed the "user define" to the length I want, but it prints part of the banner, scrolls past the next page and prints on a third. Is there a setting on my computer I need to change? I have an old Dell printer that has a banner setting. But it is dying and I guess the blue print head is dried up. Any suggestions?
I’ve been trying to print A5 size PDF to A5 paper on my Epson, and it is still not printing properly. Is there a trick to printing a size that is NOT in the preset options?
Nice clear instructions, however, if I leave the error message on as you suggest, I can not print from the computer if I change paper size and adjust the size settings there, without then going back to the printer and over-riding the error message. If I switch the error message off and change paper, adjusting the size on the computer alone allows me to print without having to refer back to the printer.
help!! my epson 2720 isnt printing the correct image for me! i am trying measurments to print a sub for a tumbler but all the sudden it wont print the correct size. its no matter if i try to fill the page or mess with the settings.
What do you do if the options for the paper on your computer do not match the options for the paper in the printer? For example, on my computer I can only choose photo paper, glossy or semi glossy, envelope etc... There isn't even an option for matte presentation paper which is what I use most.
I turned these things off, still it gives me the error. Any idea why? Also the settings of turning this off were different pathing than yours. I already threw away hundreds of dollars of paper because of that error message. I want to throw the printer out of the window.
I'm having trouble with my Epson ET 7750. I was able to print 12"x16" artwork on matching paper size, but the settings changed somehow. Now the artwork is not in the right scale or position on the paper. I've changed the settings in a dozen different ways and it's still not working. I've tried changing the settings on my printer as you suggested as well. What should I do?
Thank you. I was really beginning to hate my new Epson printer because of this issue. I studied the user manual but still could not understand Epson's cryptic descriptions of their counter-intuitive menu system. You explained and demonstrated it very clearly, and solved my problem. You solved my problem. You are literally better than the 5 technical support representative i talked with from epson
That's great Reza!
Thanks! No hype, no long speaches. Just the necessary info. Very helpful!
Thank you so much. I've been trying for two hours to resolve this issue on my WF-3620 and watching your video helped me fix it in two minutes flat!
Glad it helped
simple , elegant , and very clear . even this non-techie old man got it from the first time . thank you .
You are a godsend! Why can't Epson have simple support like this. Thank you very much.
You're welcome! I'm so pleased it helped!
this was like the longest guide to someone who need to make his work finish faster thank you. lol
Same! I saw the time and was like damn 15 mins to show someone the solution? thank goodness for playback speed 😂 ⏩️

I agree with others. You did this straight to the point and with visual. Thanks sooooo much !
It worked!! Thank you so much, I appreciate it 🙏 I was so sick of having to override it every time I want to print

You're welcome Tom! That's great!

thank you!! I refer to this EVERY TIME I have to print invitations on my printer. So clear and helpful.
Hi Lisa, That's wonderful! I'm so glad you're using it.
Thank you so much. Epson website was no where near how clear you were. Thank you💗

Great video - thank you so much!! Seems so simple, but I kept just changing it on the computer - I didn't think to change it on the printer!
Glad it helped!
Thank-you so much! You saved me a whole lot of frustration! I agree with not turning off the error. I don't do that for any of my printers.
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH I JUST GOT THIS PRINTER AND THAT MESSAGE WAS ALREADY ANNOYING THE CRAP OUT OF ME
Very informative and easy to follow along and understand. HOWEVER, I hope you can solve my issue. My printer does 8.5 wide max. I design in silhouette basic and want to design 11" wide. Is there a way to turn a finished design so it will print out 8.5 tall and 11 wide
Thank you for this video. Excellent explanations, perfect pace 👍
Brilliant following your instruction (using pause) it was all fixed after a couple of weeks irritation, thank you
Thanks so much. We were having an error message (paper size) issue every time when printing from a mobile phone. This video is very thorough and a saved me a lot of frustration. Thank you!!
Hi Greg, That's great to hear! All the best!
Great! Thanks. I was about to return this printer... solutions didn't address this. Great video.
I have two questions for the Epson et2850 printer. How do I get access to my photos and files to print? Plus how can I change the print out size so it’s not a full page print out
Excellent! And so clear in explaining what to do and for the options given. Thank you very much indeed.
Excellent video. It solved my problem with Epson ET-2825. Better than the agent where I bought the printer.
Good for you Stephen!
thank you so much for this excellent video I hAD this problems for more than 2 years. Thank you again.
Had no idea I could do this. Thank you for this video.
Love it... your video go right to the point and perfecto with the details. Thank you!
Thank you for such detailed instructions. I really appreciate the help.

I keep getting the same message when trying to print on acetate sheep on a Epson 2450. I’ve tried all paper type options from procreate (matte/gloss/plain/etc)and no luck. what setting should I set the printer for acetate/transparency printing?
Thank you. I truly needed this.
100 thumbs up to you maam. Because of this video, I finally resolved the issue with Epson printer. Many thanks.
You are very welcome and i am so pleased it made such a difference. All the best.
This is concise and great. Thank you.
Thank You, Thank You for addressing this issues. You are Awesome.
Thank you so much! This is so helpful! I had the correct paper size and it still was giving me that message.
Glad it helped!
Really useful video. Thank you. I also found that if the correct paper size isn't specified in the application, ie. word then it will throw the same error, which is really useful :)
Great tip!
Best of luck.
i have same issue printer and paper settings match but i still get error
Thank you!!!! Fixed my problem right up!
Glad it helped! That's great!
OMG Thank you so much. I was ready to pack it up. You are a life saver.
Great job , I now know what the problem was .
Thank you so it was the Microsoft IPP Class Driver Advanced Document Settings that persistently held out as Letter when I changed A4 everywhere this hidden setting just was so resistant. Your video helped in the first 3:47
Great to hear!
Thank you thank you by 2.34 I solved the annoying problem.
That's great!
Thank you... I was about to take my printer in for maintenance!
Hello I cant find what you're doing and i have thebl epson workforce 2750...gonna have to find another video that has my exact same printer but i do like your videos
So is this mismatch error the same as the invalid message I get when I load paper and attempt to to run a horizontal line check?
Im using printable sticker paper, never comes out good what is the settings for that type of paper? Thank you!
Thanks.
5 Stars job well done thank you getting that yellow Triangle error ,,Fixed
Thank you so very much! I thinking of returning my printer
You're welcome Doris. Good luck on the return.
Can i put a 8 by 14 paper size and copy that size.
Tks
thank you my problem of my printing is totally solved
Thank you so much! It was really useful!
thank you ma'am you solved my issue...
at least I can continuously print without pressing any key ,,,
That's great!
Thank you I got my question answered at 4:18 mins. I forgot how to get to the settings on the epson ET-2720 to print an #10 env and my Ubuntu computer does not have the same menu as a Windows computer. Thank you very much
You're very welcome Jose!
TYIA
I always save on an 8.5 x 11 workspace. That way, it matches the paper size.
Thanks ever so much was very helpful and you explain things brilliantly 🥰
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for the nice compliment!
Thank you for this... Really clear and good... ❤
Appreciate the heads up!
THANK YOU IT FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!
How do you get in print perference
Nice clear instructions, however, if I leave the error message on as you suggest, I can not print from the computer if I change paper size and adjust the size settings there, without then going back to the printer and over-riding the error message. If I switch the error message off and change paper, adjusting the size on the computer alone allows me to print without having to refer back to the printer.
Right, I believe we are on the same page. I really like the on/off feature but I make too many mistakes to the wrong printer when I leave it off.
help!! my epson 2720 isnt printing the correct image for me! i am trying measurments to print a sub for a tumbler but all the sudden it wont print the correct size. its no matter if i try to fill the page or mess with the settings.
What are the settings to print on card stock?
How do I print a photo from my Android phone? I can't select the paper size or type from my phone!! Thanks so much for your reply.
Thank you! Another great video...I turned the error messages off but what you said made sense so I turned them back on hehehe!
This made me laugh, thank you!
Thank you so much for tutorial. New Subscriber. Good luck we hope you hit 10K soon.
Thanks for the sub!
