I noticed how LEGO flip flops on these subjects. On one hand you have stuff like Bionicle with thorough descriptions of body horror and death then you have most LEGO games where they just fall apart in a comedic fashion. Then you have stuff in between like Ninjago where they have a strong comedic factor but have stuff like Harumi blowing up her family and tricking everyone into thinking she’s innocent.
It doesn't, you just don't get the point. Ninjago is an original story, so they are fine with giving them a dark tinge. But things like Lego Star Wars or Lego Harry Potter ar comedic parodies, they are intended to be funny.
@@toumabyakuya Oh you commented here too it seems. Again I am just referring to LEGO in general and they have censored their own original works before. Bionicle is a huge example where entire story arcs were cut from the films and they refused to adapt the Ignition saga because of its dark subject matter. We only have two games involving the Voya Nui storyline and they didn’t even put the story in it and made one of the allies a boss fight. No mention of the slaves, the rebellion, the looming death of the universe’s god, nothing but run and gun.
@@calebgoodman3028 As I said prior, there's no problem with them taking different approaches with all their branches. Not every LEGO game needs to be dark and gloomy.
@@toumabyakuya Sorry this whole thing is starting to get misconstrued. I never meant to start an argument. I just found it weird they have this big whiplash in tone so often which is all I meant to say. I get that they would do things differently as well too but it also leads into a sort of false expectation for LEGO as a whole when it’s mostly just one facet you know what I mean? I see a lot of people assume it’s LEGO and properties it deals with are specifically for kids when in fact it has themes and deals with properties that are explicitly not targeted to just kids.
@@calebgoodman3028 *"I get that they would do things differently as well too but it also leads into a sort of false expectation for LEGO as a whole when it’s mostly just one facet you know what I mean?"*
No, I actually don't. I feel that you are seeing problems were there are none.
As I keep saying, simply because their original games deal with dark topics doesn't force them to do the same in games that are intended to be humorous parodies. I still believe you are missing the point of said games.
Tbf, I don’t recall a lot of blood in Star Wars in general. Mostly because lightsabers just kinda burn through ya and would in the process cauterize the edges of the hole so they’re not generally gonna leave a lotta blood, more just scorched holes and marks. The blasters tend to also be handled similarly. Even in moments like Maul getting cut in half there’s not really any blood.
The only other instance of blood I remember off the top of my head is in A New Hope, when that one dude in the Cantina gets his arm sliced off by Obi-Wan after harassing Luke.
27:05 What happened to Alderaan is called Omnicide, its basically the destruction of all life on a planet, ironically I learned that fact on a video listing all of Omni-Man's crimes and totalling how long his sentence would be.
24:17 All the Lego games are built around co-op, meaning, there has to be at least 2 playable characters at all times. If they didn't resurrect him, they'd either add a different character which wasn't here in the movie, or just cut the screen in half and give the second player something else to do (like in Lego Lord of the Rings, where one player fought Saruman as Gandalf, while the other controlled the Hobbits and was avoiding Nazguls).
If they had split the screen in half and gave the second player something else to do, what would the second player be doing while Mr. Incredible was on Nomanisan with his new suit?
The main story of Dimensions follows Batman, Gandalf, and Wildstyle in their journey throughout the Lego multiverse.
24:56 if this guy thinks his death was what made the movie mature he has the one of most superficial understanding of maturity, the entire plot of the movie is mature
Kids arent stupid, if you are direct at answer ing their question they will understand, just don't be overly graphic
The retconned death for the Incredibles game was the most mind boggling for me, couldn't they just show a LEGO skeleton of him instead?
It doesn't bother me as much because Roger's performance as amnesiac Gazerbeam is hilarious.
It's because they needed two characters to traverse the island since they need to have an opportunity for Co-op in every level.
Patt saying they "Disneyfied" the newer Star Wars movie for one having one scene with blood when practically all of the first og movies had no blood as well
2:35 there is no blood on the old movies either, that's the whole reason why they thought of using lightsaber on the first place
Yep. It cauterized the wounds.
If you haven't seen the Indiana Jones movies in a while, they're a *really* good trilogy. The fourth and fifth ones are just okay, but still decent
The fifth is "decent"? It's utter dogsh*t
tbh the Lego Indiana Jones games had a LOT of censoring, especially the second one
The Voldemort one is funny cause like in the books he just falls over dead, which is ironic because he thinks he’s this immortal being who can never die
patterrz saying that finishing off Anakin would work even though now you can got stabbed by a light saber through the heart and still survive somehow
I think the word for killing an entire planet is called Omnicide. At least in our world where we don't know of life outside of earth.
Oh, man, this is a bad list. Mojo really doesn't get the fact that Lego is funny franchise. Of course they will parody all of those moments by turning them funny, that is the point of making a Lego game of any franchise.
But what else was I expecting? Mojo was never good.
All the movie references took me down a WHOLE memory trip
Well, at least LEGO is a totally Family friendly company-*and now I can’t see LEGO the same again.*
LEGO always flip flopped on these things. Look at the deaths that happen in Bionicle for example. There’s even a scene in one of the books where a character flies into a rage when another character wore the corpses of the first guy’s minions as decoration.
@@calebgoodman3028 They don't, they are just parodying it. Lego games are supposed t be humorous.
@@toumabyakuya The games for the most part that is true, only a few aren’t and even then it’s never really focused on, but other LEGO properties and media do dive into darker subject matter at times that censorship would be hard to do without removing huge chunks, which LEGO has been fond of doing in movie and game adaptations. I have been referring to LEGO in general though so I apologize if I confused you if you only meant the games.
@@calebgoodman3028 Yes, I do mean the games because that is what this video is about.
The problem I have with your arguments is that you believe LEGO should handle all their branches in the same way but I disagree with that. There's no problem with them taking different approaches with their branches, that just means that they can manage to attrack a wider audience.
9:06 You face after listening to Gandalf announce that GLaDOS is activating a trap is exactly how i felt
LEGO Indiana Jones is still my only exposure to the Indiana Jones series and I plan to keep it that way. The games are surprisingly very good and goofy (as most LEGO games are)
Censorship and Legos aren’t a combination I thought I’d ever hear together.
I mean... Bionicle definitely neeeded it. Those books had some seriously messed up scenes of death and body horror. I still cry over Matoro decades later.
Lego games does shit like this to parody the material.
The Neurotoxin segment actually is from a Lego toys to life game
Which had crossovers and even SONIC THE HEDGEHOG
First video game I played on a console with Lego marvel 2 on the ps4
Happy holidays man! ❤❤❤❤
The dilofosaurus was a baby Nedry eaven says: you not as bad as your older brothers
Error message Jumpscare at 24:44 top right corner
1:02 I read all the books but refused to see the last movie because I knew it was basically going to be one big battle. I don’t think I’ve watched any of the movies past the 4th more than once either
Disconnected from the websocket. Trying to refresh the overlay... If this persists please contact support.
3:30 error message
Speaking of legos, is it me or is it NUTS that we are playing legos in FORNITE, not as event, but as PERMANENT MODE, before we got gta 6
19:08 Disconnected from the websocket?
YES Lego content lets go lads!!!!!
It’s Christmas season🎉
4:47 No. He murdered children.
Hey, since you really liked the camsteady pokemon cyphers you should listen to rustages one piece cyphers
God, the first thing I'd buy if I ever had money (after a new car and house) would be an Unopened Lego Dimensions game from someone.
I still have all of my add-ons, in good shape. But one of my cats had ended up messing up the Portal literally 2 DAYS after Lego Dimensions stopped being sold anywhere.
Fucking lawyers....
27:19 uhhh thanos maybe 🤔
I'm surprised you managed to sit through 4 of the Harry Potter movies, to be honest.
I mean, by themselves they are good, is only when comparing them to their book counterparts that they start to falter.
@toumabyakuya They are better in a vacuum, true. Still not great, but better.
@@theyellowferret5125 I mean, yeah, I wouldn't say they are perfect, but they also aren't bad either.
@@toumabyakuya Yeah, fair. I would give the franchise a solid 7.5 out of 10 stars. 😀
I'm American and never seen a harry potter movie or book i actually never seen what a harry potter book looks like and i wanna keep it like that
Anyone get a disconnect msg pop up or did I smoke to much
It's now debated that the dinosaurs with tiny arms, including the T-rex actually had wings instead of tiny arms, like the modern depictions of the velociraptor. Can you imagine a flying Trex
I don’t think t-rex would be able to fly, considering it’s almost 10 TONS
@TheSnomGuy Yeah, it was probably flightless, like the ostrich, but the wing theory is real. Makes me wonder what dinosaurs actually look like.
Oh no the websocket got disconnected.
6:46 Yes you do Pat or you use a gun or your little Lego fists to beat them up
I have played all of these games
Day:4 Of asking for any kind of GuiltyGear reaction, like Character trailers, all supers and Insta-Kills, character themes, Lore/Timeline, for GuiltyGear Rev2 or Guilty Gear strIVe (for any GG strIVe video make sure it’s made after the 7th of december 2023 so Elphelt Valentine is included)
Nazi symbol Swatsika means good in asia and some other cultures but just germans used it and this symbol wad banned in North America and Europe because of connection with WW2
So you can explain it to your child that germans used this symbol in WW2 to bad things but this symbol itself doesn't mean bad but good in most cultures in world
Hi merry christmas pat
Fourth
Lego fanf would go hard
Hm, i think you’re cutting kids short a little in places.
