if only the dealerships weren't marking up the price 15k+... 63k for a regular 6 speed GT IS RIDICULOUS... they are selling the dark horse for 75k... not worth it
I gotta say… the avg price of a new car in America in 2023 is $48k. The avg price of a new car in America in 2018 was $38k. That’s a $10k increase in just 5 short years…I purchased a GT Premium PP1 with the 401A package in 2021 brand new. The MSRP was $56k. Is $63k a shit ton of money for any car? Ya damn skippy. Unfortunately, that’s the current car climate we live in. Since $48k is the avg price of a new car in 23’, per Kelly Blue Book, I think this car is priced right… avg price is $48k. a car with this level of performance, excitement, modern tech and with such good looks like the 24’ Mustang GT and when looked at comparatively is a price that is right in line with pricing of everything else in 2024
@@sunburn8640 I would agree. I ordered a base GT and I’m wowed at some of the features it has even as a base model GT. But I ordered just make sure that pricing didn’t get too out of hand and I can get what I wanted. Most dealerships around me aren’t ordering base GTs they’re ordering GT premiums with all sorts of packages with a price north of 50k or even 55K and some pushing 60k. Not saying those models aren’t worth it but it wasn’t for me. I’m super happy with what I paid for my base GT and have no regrets. Fun car to drive.
Having the screens is great but being just stuck on and not integrated in the dash just looks shit that is my major complaint and why I would not buy one
Well it depends what you want. 3.15 is better for roll racing, and 3.55 is better for digs and is a bit snappier off the line. 3.55 will give you faster acceleration, 3.15 will give you higher top speed. I believe most auto drag mustangs in the s550 group are 3.15
Look at the deck lid when you get a chance sometime. Why did Ford chose to do 2 stampings for the deck lid instead of being a single stamping? That groove this creates will hold water after wash and can trap grit, too. Look just in front of the spoiler. Why did Ford choose to cheap out on the deck lid?
I don’t think it was cheaping out. Two panels is more expensive than one to make. My dealer said something about ease of aftermarket spoilers. I wish I could remember the exact logic.
@@nathanmcghee3805 If you remember or get fresh information, let me know. I'm interested in the reasoning behind it. My main point was/is that it spoils what would otherwise be a smooth expanse of metal with unnecessary grooves. Now, IMHO, I don't think spoilers do anything for the style and make it more difficult to wash around. Just my opinion, I know many like the look, which is absolutely fine.
You'd be just as fast with the S550. You'd have tuning available since the pcu is not locked, and it would be cheaper. How much do you like the tech and new look?
Test drove this exact spec (just in blue like the ecoboost in the beginning) And let me tell you, its got some GOOD power!!! However at that price tag, i’d rather get a used A90 Supra. Way better interior and overall better performance on the Supra but i do give Ford praise for keeping the v8 alive ♥️
Im pretty sure the s550s didnt have quad exhaust, unless they had the active exhaust option. Im happy u like the steering......alot say it feels more artificial, but thats subjective. Thanks for the video
the gt is able to spin the hell out of even the 255's should of even on the base come with at least 275's I went with 285's and its better but can still slip the wheels. Thats where the difference in acceleration comes from.

NO! It's not "ground up new car"... ;-P Dor cards are almost identical. Center console is identical. Actually Ford admits that it is a deep face lift. I realy want to hate it, but the more I look at it, the more I like it...
The dash is horrible and the air vents look cheap and the taillights looked like someone got a bat and hit them in the middle and only 480hp heck noooo. They could have configured the dash with the flat screen looked like the glued them to the dash and said where done😂

Such a wussy sounding horn😅. Who needs a horn when you have a V8!! Yea, they may get out of your way if you honked, but i bet they will have some giddy up in their step if you just rev it up really good.
Dealers are marking these up to rediculous prices. Ain't worth it. It's a shame. The wheel design has got to go. The previous generation's performance pack wheels were way better. Also just like you mentioned, it's pathetic that quad exhaust isn't standard.
