Thank you for good tutorial
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment :D xxx
Thank you that is good to know about the item inside the bowl wilting. I had this great idea to make a gumball cake just to see if I could. My husband put the bowl in the dishwasher unbeknown to me. It was a plastic one and when I came to empty the dishwasher I found this melted mass that was the bowl. Still not got round to making one but this has given me the urge to make a bowl cake again.
hahaha Oh no!! Yes I ahve a few plastic ones too, they come in handy for kids birthday cakes rather than the larger glass ones :D Note to self...do not put it in the dishwasher! haha I would have melted it too LOL Yes, give it a go! Love gumball machine cakes, so fun!
I'm thinking of doing this for my son's wedding
Thanks for sharing all your very useful tips. Always so inspiring. Also wanted to ask you if you still used the Pro Froster when ganaching your cakes? So many methods out there 😂 Just wondered if it was worth investing in one. Your sharp edges are amazing!!!! 🍒 ❤️
Thank you! I sure do!! I'm actually just waiting for the teal ones to be restocked in the UK as I'm getting another one as back-up! lol
😍
💕💕💕
now I know where Brazilian confectioners in the Amazon were inspired to make pies with Acuario.
Hi, Do you think this would work for tres leches cake?
😘😘
🤩👌👌👌
I always wanted to try this but I was absolutely terrified that the glass would just shatter and destroy everything. Love the tutorial 💖😊
Thanks! Oh these glass bowls are super chunky! You don't want a really thin fine one x
Another fab tutorial! I love Tuesdays!!
Also just started following you on Amazon too! 😉
One thing I see you use a lot (and I fancy one myself) is your trusty Smedger... is there any chance you have an affiliated link for one Tracey? x
Oh I didn't know you could follow someone on Amazon! Did it tell you I bought a hoover? HAHHA
Yes I use my smedger on pretty much every cake!! I've added the link to the description box :D x
@@Cherrycakeco Love you awesome woman! Thanks so much, will check out the link ;-) And no, it didn't specify your recent purchases, just listed 'regular' supplies, will try take you a screenshot laters ;-) I would not be doing my job of Chief No. 1 Stalker if I didn't follow you EVERYWHERE ! 😘
@@ellisbell3024 Oh yes, please do :D Is it the 'shop front' with all cake tools in it? If so I think Amazon shut that one as most people were clicking the individual links rather than the store front. i think it has to have regular use to stay open! lol
Très jolie, c'est les pailles qui stabilisent les étages ? Comment le poids de la pièce transparente n'écrase pas la génoise ?
Hi.. can i use this method on a whipped cream frosted cake ?
As long as its all supported correctly x
Hi can I know how do you glue the glass bowl to the board? Thanks a lot
Once at the venue and you place the bowl on, you can either leave it resting in the ridge (The lack of air causes a little condensation and this fuses the glass to the paste) or you can add a little water to dampen it.
Do you secure the top cake to the bowl at all or just rest it on?
I just rest it on, but you can add a dampened disc of sugarpaste and it should secure it :D x
@@Cherrycakeco That sounds scary for the top cake.
Not really, its quite a nice platform for it to sit on. I thought the 80's style wedding pillars were far scarier! haha
Love it! Do you adhere the top with anything?
No I usually dont, but you can just add a damp circle of sugar-paste and that should stick it fine :D x
So does the top teir cake gets secured to the bowl? Incase it gets knocked over?
You can do if you like, a little disc of sugar paste on top of the bowl dampened and the top cake placed on should keep it stuck. But if the cakes gets 'knocked' someone is already in big trouble whether it falls or not hahaha x
@@Cherrycakeco thank you will bare that in mind
How to pack such cakes?
How to fix the glass on the disk
What if i use frosting not fondant pls??
Hi! You will need to put a very thin layer of frosting on the support board to hide it, but make sure its thin enough as the bowl rim will cut through it, so you dont want it to be too thick x
