Yes, I really enjoy Jonathan Roumie's acting skills as he portrays Jesus. I just find it really disturbing to learn that in his personal life he's comfortable observing the strictly human-authorized weekly day of rest instead of truly following the example of the character he portrays in The Chosen show and observe the real, God-authorized weekly day of rest.
Jonathan did an excellent portrayal of Jesus. The best ever. You can tell lots of prayer accompanied this production and his role. May the Lord continue to bless his life and work. May he continue to walk in humility with God.

No one has ever played Jesus as well as Jonathan! Ever!!! God has truly blessed him and this whole cast and crew!!! Jim Caviezel did an wonderful and powerdul performance as Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ" crucifiction. That ripped me to the core! I hope they can reach that intensity in "The Chosen" because Christ's death was horrific and he died for every single person so we are all responsible for his death even if we were not there in person. He knew each of us before we were even born on that cross, because he is God and felt the weight of each of our lives. It is hard to comprehend, but knew us personally.

I’ve only come to learn about Roumie from The Chosen. One of my favorite stories about him (he said this himself in an interview) is when he was 6 years old he manifested his portrayal of Jesus in his home. The story is he carried the cross in his backyard. I believe he was only “playing” but….I’ve been watching many videos/interviews of Roumie I can’t recall where I saw that particular interview. I'm so deeply touched by this series. I remember him discussing his part after the movie was shown at a theater. He was discussing aspects of it with the director, and they were both deeply moved. Jonathan said playing the part of Jesus changed his life. I try to encourage friends who haven't seen it to watch it. It truly is so well done.
