Thank you very much, Geraldine and Nicola, for covering this so thoroughly and with sensitivity to the victims. Much respect to Geraldine for her dedication to reporting on this particular predator.
Larry Murphy was, is and will always be a high risk offender, the sentence imposed on him was far too lenient, and he is out there living his life while his surviving victim will live a life sentence. In my opinion, he is top of the suspect list regarding other missing women. Great respect for Nicola and Geraldine, a truly informative, intriguing talk.
We have a girl from our area, she is missing at least 5 years, no one reported her missing for months.....very little news from the Gardai. Oddly her sister was found dead in a vehicle in a local hospital, 12 months before, its puzzling ! But she has been forgotten

Serial offenders can hone their skills but they can also completely change their MO deliberately to distance themselves from the crime. And they can also become more cocky over time and mess up.They can also stop committing their crimes all of a sudden and may or may not resume again decades later. And then there may be copycat offenders. There are so many ways this could have gone.DNA analysis needs to be stepped up.Ireland is too slow. For example we have Crimewatch asking people if they saw a person or car etc 10 months earlier on a wedneday at 5pm.This is crazy.People can't remember what they've seen last week nevermind months ago.
Thank you for this.. I've always wondered why the poor parents of Deirdre are so sure, though, that Larry Murphy had nothing to do with what happened to their daughter.
They don't really care about harm to women. Sure domestic violence is not even a crime in ireland...also not in Russia. If domestic violence was a crime here gardai could arrest a man if he assaulted his wife at home...but it's left to thw women to go to thw family court herself to try get justice. Women's justice is like the 1800's in Ireland.

Simple question , what age is that fiend Murphy? Plus people today don't realize how much of a time warp that Ireland was at this time. Even if people in Ireland knew/witnessed ANYTHING they would mind their own business . When i was a kid a serious "happening" went down where I'm from and everyone knows what happened the cops knew and nothing was done,
Oh really in 2020- 2022 everyone knew who was visiting who and who were injected with chemicals or not.... policing the community to ensure those we did not obey rules were outcast. Where is this guy Larry Murphy living?!? Everyone should know exactly where he is, so they can protect themselves and take precautions. There should be a public notice and the public should be protected. Somewhere in some documentary it was mentioned that he went abroad…how on earth is such a person after his crime allowed to travel?!? Let alone abroad!!! It is completely crazy and irresponsible from the authorities to allow this!!! So, where is the guy?!? This is scary. The policy should be that his whereabouts are controlled on a daily basis several times per day and night to keep track on him and supervise him to prevent anyone getting harmed by him being a psychopath on the loose…
I just came across this video . I worked with larry Murphy on and off for 4 years . I was an apprentice plumber at the time . He seemed like the last person who would harm a woman. He would help anyone out. Or so it seemed.. The only weired thing i can remember about him was he use to park at some weied places in the mornings or during the day. ( we use to go to & from the jobs getting supplies)
my family qnd i come from where larry is from and he was a very odd character and also there is a little cottage type thing built in the woods too which is believed to be built by larry himself, i have often visted it and there is piers and stone work done on it, no doubt he kidnapped all these women.

This woman is not a good interviewee or speaker. She says “eh” several times in each sentence. Found it painful to listen to. Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh. Don’t mean to be mean. She could easily work on it and stop.

If someone commits a murder and does not tell where the body or bodies are, his prison sentance should be lengthened.

It's the irsh justice system it's shocking. They need put in jail them self's.
It’s awful how these crimes remain unsolved 😢
They know who did it. Larry Murphy should have spent his whole life in prison. Insane that he ever got out.
It’s a superb documentary, Geraldine is a powerhouse. Thinking of all the families of the missing women, god give them strength.
