I don't think that every adult man who has a minor in his car is a predator. I was dropped off so many times by my parents' friends as a teen out of concern. And nothing inappropriate ever had been done or said to me by those people. They were really good friends.

No - when he's asking "why did he do that?" He was on about the school bag. - Police wondered why it was still around at all. Was it to throw Investigators off the trail? Was it accidently? You'd expect he would've let the bag vanish. That is what the old police man meant. 😉

Plenty did, there's always a huge level of SILENCE around these abusers, they are so clever, they are charming, in a high position in society, ie radio with a wide audience, people looked up to him. Pedo's charm their young victims, use money, sweets, cigs, alcohol to create a bond, it's grooming, their victim learns to trust them enjoys being the attention of an adult who doesn't put constraints on them, treats them as if they are older. It's psychological abuse before the sexual abuse. The fear comes in when they threaten exposure of the sex, they make the victim feel they were the 'seducer', the one who will be seen in a bad light if the abuse is exposed. Other people who suspect there's something not right are reluctant to say anything in case their wrong, so until one victim speaks out it all goes under a Veil of silence. When one victim speaks out, you will find more victims.

My parents would have had 40 fits re the predatory teachers at my comprehensive school ( which had a good reputation & got good exam results) if they'd known. The 33yr old sports teacher was after my friend from age 13. He would drive by her house every night & ask her to "go to the pictures" with him. We all eye rolled & avoided him & the similar 36 yr old RE teacher. My 6th form headmaster (56), moved to an all boys private school then got done for images of boys as young as 7 on his home computer. He got a slap on the wrist, married his girlfriend of 12yrs & then got a teaching job in her home country, Germany.

I'm not buying the idea that he had anything to do with Philip Cairns. There's no way Philip who liked school and was by all accounts well behaved and quiet is going to get into a car with a random sleazy looking stranger to go to the other side of the city. I just don't see it it sounds far fetched. I've lived in Rathfarnham most of my life and I've always believed that the answer to that mystery lies locally. I don't see him getting into a car unless it was someone he knew or an authority figure. Prominent people with reputations some of whom have passed away are rumored to be behind it.

When it came out the wife stayed with him, had another child with him and neighbors continued to let their kids play in their house and even have sleepovers. My son played with their son and I had to refuse to allow him to go into that house . Feeling sorry for the kids involved I told him I couldn’t tell him why but I would when he got older .. Heres a theory for the bag... If it was dumped in around that area .. or ever further away.. if other older school kids found it.. full of books.. they might have taken the ezpensive books for resell back to supply shop or privatly umounst students.. stuff like that would happen in those days.. not much else happening .. and everyone knew how expensive books where.. from our parents gaces and protests at the bill for the years books ect.. yud be imbarassed that they cost yur mum.. so much humble shock.. in the shop.. yu could trade them back to them .. with different prices given for condition.. plastic pertectors wallpapered on them with stricked instructions to keep them clean..
And after found and emptied of its idable bag.. " hey thats mine,," the sleave bag is discarded in lane on the way to school.. by finder of bag in bushes, different path by road ect ?? And discarded on route before entering a school area..
Or another theory.. foxes !!! Found it.. played or attracted by smell of lunches.. tranfered it from a origional location that could be from a much wider area.. travelling it to the lane..
The cops are right.. crimes like that where unknown in those areas.. totally.. so i see now that the cops get a hard time by people for not doing enough ! But sure.. no one knew what to do.. or how to think.. this the first time today i even heard cooke.. computed it into my head.. phil cairns is stamped into my soul forever.. reminds me of me.. same life.. near same school uniform and badges.. we alllll held our breaths.. wispering...and waiting for him to show up and roll back on with our lives.. as if he be found up the mountains .. ran away.. all dirty. And it be over... But it never stopped.. and we never really stopped .. poor philip !! So haunting... The feeling.. soooo deap and quietly sad.. its imursing me now like a sad sinking feeling.. emothionsl.. same age ect ss me.. i lived in the area too.. we were pretty ignorant to actual evil.. but our 80$ bliss.. was canceled.. never really recovered.. till now maybe.. even though its yen times as bad.. its also 10 times as good too.. now. We where right back them.. proper life.. bare nessesitys before dalas mezmerized all.. and made higher falls.. so stay grand.. and are still the same still..
Any dna.. mstics, mediums ? I feel hes around.. its like hes there when we look at his picture.. goosebumps.. its like hes all around when i thing of himm and it allways has since the 80.. real evil cluster b monsters .. real real monsters.. diabolical ... Exits insome..

He is a disgusting man, and you can tell he is dirty by the way he is dressed and confront s children to do acts for his own pleasure s .I really feel for his victims and for the lad that went missing.
