Love the sound effects, fantastic layout👍💯
What a magnificent layout this is!
So much atmosphere! Just brilliant!
Bravo Sir! 👏🏻👍🏻
Probably one of the best layouts on the internet.
I worked as a Conductor at Waverley from 1989 to 2002. Brings back many memories. Started at Craigentinny Depot 1986.
Great that it brings back so many memories for you! It was to bring back memories of trainspotting at Waverley in the 80s that I built the layout.
Absolutely brilliant. I loved every moment. Thanks for posting.
Most exellent
I've caught many a taxi from that bridge! Lovely mix of nicely weathered and lit stock, really enjoyed the watch😃
I love that the I/C 47 coaches all had painted seats and they looked so real 👍😍
Absolutely stunning to see what Waverley looked like and sounded like then, as a young trainspotter , it is great what traction and rolling stock was seen in Waverley in the 80s, especially in this fantastic model form, great video, I've subscribed !
Glad you enjoyed it, Sean!!
Stunning as always I watch with envy 👍
Cheers Dave! Glad you like it.
Relaxing.
Hi, i just discover your channel ! Happy to subscribe.
stunning work absolutely amazing a real joy to watch the lighting is superb 👍👍👍👍🎅
Your sound recordings match the camera angles very well!
That might have something to do with the sounds coming from the models themeselves
Superb running session, thanks for sharing your layout! Cheers Dazza
Thanks Dazza!
this is brilliant.well done!
When I was a kid in the 80's I would stand above there on the path from the art gallery to take photos of the trains, and some I still have.
Absolutely brilliant.
Wow just like the real thing 👍👏
What an absolute fantastic layout.
I have just found you via RM Web reference the Olivia’s BOC TEA tankers. As an side, what do you think of these?
PS - I have just subbed.
Hi, thanks! In my experience, they're lovely wagons spoilt by the close coupling mechanism that is fitted to them. I find this drags the wagons off the rails far too often. I have filed down the mechanisms (the v-shaped piece of plastic underneath), which has greatly reduced derailments. Hope that helps!.
Stunning modeling. Absolutely magnificent.
Only thing.... wasn't the 08 stabled on the other side of the west end under the old signal box??
Thanks Stu! Yes, you're absolutely right. It was a bit of a modelling compromise, as I wanted a stabling siding there, rather than where it should actually be!
@Waverleywest I thought so. It's been a long time since I've seen Waverley but I do remember the track plan and you've got it perfect. Do you still have the layout? Are you based in Edinburgh?
@@stubrodie1929 Yes, I still have the layout. I'm based in West Cumbria.
@Waverleywest OK. I was hoping Edinburgh so that maybe next time I'm over the pond I could see it. I'm in Las Vegas and seeking inspiration and your layout is top of the tree
Brilliant 😁👍
love this layout so much, it reminds me of my youth! See on your Haymarket depot area (I can see it in the background at 7 minutes), was that a kit or scratch built? Cheers. Dave
Thanks Dave. Glad you like the layout. Haymarket depot is all scratchbuilt, mostly out of plastic card. Cheers Dave
It looks like gyils mount from gcr
I have a lot of questions about ur layout. How long is it what is the list of points crossovers what signals are needed
The points and crossovers are all Peco, mostly medium radius, although there are some large radius ones too where I could fit them in. The signals were custom-made by Roger Murray (now taken over by Absolute Aspects).
