+Hannibal Hyde I totally agree. A lot of these places quickly become sprayed down and vandalized if you write the location in the description.. That`s why I don`t. This bunker was a sweet ride.
Great video and choice of background sound. There's a huge bunker near me in the UK, size of 2 tennis courts and hidden from aerial view with a mini forest on top of it. Trouble is, you can't get inside as it has a huge heavy metal safe like door and no one in the town has any idea what's inside with walls that must be thick as 4'.
damn you crazy. I wouldn't even dare to look at the place let alone venture into it solo. I give you mad props for not giving a shit. place is creepy as hell.
if you live near Ongar, there is a "secret" nuclear bunker that has been left all original, its in Kelvedon Hatch, it's worth a look, its 3 floors and has tons of information, its pretty fun down there, and it is also Essex's most haunted place as it was built on an ancient burial ground and many workers died while building it, there is also a youtube video which is made using some kind of interactive movie set in the bunker, ill link it when I find the video.
Very cool, reminds me of the sandstone caves down by the Mississippi we explored as kids that are now walled off. They used to store beer in them, one can only guess where under the city they lead to back when they were open in the 70's. Many good old gold mines in Gorda too, I still can't believe someone from that town won half the big powerball considering how few people live in that coastal town.
As I posted for a guy who filmed a former East German bunker in similar condition keep the place in mind and a secret. If it looks like things are going bad start getting supplies moved there and hidden. That way you got a secure place you can run to till things blow over, or to fight from depending on what happens.
There's still an active ICBM silo nearby where I live. My Grandfather(Whom of which is still alive and healthy) used to work as the main fire chief/inspector at Vandenberg AFB near Lompoc, California(I live a half-hour north in Santa Maria), and when My Dad was a kid, he and his class got to take a tour of it because a classmate's dad was in charge. As of now, I think the only thing it's used for is launching weather satellites.
+Satchel Hogan Hey, thanks for your story, friend:) Your dad sure was a lucky guy, I would have given a pice of my right arm to get access to one of those. Good that they find some practical use for it these days too, alot of them from what I hear are either sealed shut with concrete or filled with water. I heard that even some are used by the Navy Seals for practicing their diving skills.
None of those underground facilities seem to have some sort of kitchen or "dining" room and yet some have bunk beds which means that soldiers or personnel lived there for some time. Did they have to live on MREs? And why would bunk beds be mounted on springs?
the bunks beds are spring mounted for in case of a explosion near or directly on top of the bunker so the personal inside could sleep without being constantly throne around in their beds, this was for 24/7 manning of the bunker were personal had shifts. The dinning section was either in another section of the bunker or in this case food were indeed MREs or it was provided by an outside standing kitchen truck.
THAT HOLE AT 5:38 ON THE FLOOR LOOKED LIKE AN OLD ESCAPE HATCH THAT GOES DEEPER INTO THE FACILITY WAS THAT WHAT IT WAS? AND THANK YOU FOR POSTING SUCH EPIC VIDEO'S. I'VE SEEN ALL OF THEM AND THE STUFF YOU GET TO EXPLORE IS AMAZING.. TO SEE IT'S JUST LEFT TO GET RECLAIMED BY NATURE IS CRAZY JUST BECAUSE OF THE TIME AND MONEY THAT WENT INTO BUILDING THEM.
+luvmusic17 Thank you for you nice words, friend. It`s comments like these that pushes me to explore more hardcore stuff for you guys. Really, thank you. About the hatch, you could be right, but I kind of doubt it, as I have seen and checked hatches like this one in other bunkers. They`re usually just maintenance hatches with either a fuseboard or pressure-valve for closing the air out. But then again, who knows, maybe I missed out on something:) Thank you for watching :)
No problem like I said the stuff you do is awesome... STAY SAFE AND NEVER STOP EXPLOREING THE UNKNOWN CAUSE YOU MIGHT JUST STUMBLE ON A FORGOTTEN TREASURE FROM LONG AGO THANX AGAIN FRIEND I WISH I COULD SEE WHAT YOU DO UP CLOSE
Holy shit I love so much that you used Half Life music, as soon as I heard the music when you turned on the flashlight I was like "fuuuuck yes!" Great video man.
To olav, I hope you kept this a secret and started making it your fallout shelter and have it stoked with 2 years of food. By the ind of this year 2017 you will be living there. Again, don't tell anyone else. Fist up, Fight for Truth.
+worldtraveler I love exploring beautyful Denmark. And Danes are such nice people, especially other urban explorers. If the base is still active I would avoid them too, good call there. Thank you for watching:)
Mostly they have conceiled electrical wiring connected to the grid, also with a backup-system powered by diesel generators. Nothing like sleeping soft when the bombs start dropping:)
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy ;) Just about the most massively useful thing any interstellar Hitchhiker can carry. Partly it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a miniraft down the slow heavy River Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (a mind-bogglingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you - daft as a brush, but very very ravenous); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course you can dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.
I've seen an earlier video of this "bunker", and due to its small size and lack of any sign of outer doors I think it was used for training for CQB and bunker defense/assault. It only has the one central room with actual locking doors. My two cents...

Olav XO i heard of that one i think, he posted a video of him finding a cave, but it freaked him out so much he left. He made another video later saying he was going back to the same cave and was never heard from again.
+Olav XO yeah, as the other guy said, he went missing after making that video. M cave hiking. You should always take a GPS with you, although I know you probably do.
Was that a swedish bunker? Because when you're going in a first there is a newspaper on the table where is says "sparken på direkten" which means "fired at once" (like you get fired from a job).
+Ragesauce Sure, if thats your thing. I like it all dirty and abandoned, but I guess you could fix this up if you put some time into it. The sad thing is that the military doesen`t think we need these places anymore. Thank you for watching,.

Then the others range all the way through the 19th century, including the Crimean War era. The latest ones were used through WWI and through WWII, so you see a mish mash of architectural styles and a progression of military science. York Redoubt has 9" RML guns, probably the only place in the US or Canada where you will see anything like that. The WWII bunkers are the worst. Very hastily constructed and in extremely bad condition. The biggest batteries used old British 14" guns, which were sold to Turkey sometime in the 1950s through to the early 1960s. The use of these coastal defence bunkers was discontinued sometime in the 1950s.

Modern doctrine since the early 1990s seems to cut out the use of static bunkers. There must have been a sea change in military doctrine worldwide around that time as so many have been either abandoned or turned into museums.
Nice video thanks for sharing :)

Hannibal Hyde yes yes 💯. I've cleaned the walls at some places, people are so fascinated by scrawling penises on everything.
It's because this is Norway. High standards in Norway

Modern doctrine since the early 1990s seems to cut out the use of static bunkers. There must have been a sea change in military doctrine worldwide around that time as so many have been either abandoned or turned into museums.
