The red doors indicate combat points, or places that could be hazardous if the bunker comes under attack. Green is living space, and yellow is chemical/biological. That's where the decontamination area would be. Those round red valve-things are blast valves, designed to snap shut if the site were to be hit by a large detonation. Otherwise, without them, those inside would be snap-crushed instantaneously from the pressure.
Thank you so much:) These places attracts kids sometimes I suppose, but this one is really far away from houses so That`s probably why it`s still in good condition..
a really awesome video, no music made it detached yet pulled you in more. so cool to see later cold war bunkers and one in such good condition too. it's like it could be put to use again without much work.
Nice video as always! It would be nice if you could test some things in places like this though. Like test if the water works, and open hatches and so on.
You country, wherever that is, probably also has defense facilities like this. get out there and look for them, my friend:) Tell me if you find anything:)
If I recall correctly, many of these bunkers were mated with tank turrets to provide a "Maginot Line" type of defense for the country. I think that as the theory of warfare progressed, the turrets were removed from the bunkers, but the bunkers remained in service as control point coverage in case of invasion.
Hi Todd. Thank for writing to me:) You are absolutely right about the line-part, although calling it the Maginot might be a little out of scale:) From what I`ve learned there were no tank-turrets in these, but they had hatches for easy use of handheld anti-tank weapons that could be aunched from inside the bunker. They did however have foundations ready for AA, guns in place, you can see the 3 concrete-pillars right where I enter the first time. Thanks for watching my video:)
@@OlavXO Always happy to watch good and informative videos. Keep up the great work. I guess I was thinking more of some of the bunkers along the Bulgaria-Hungary borders, also many of the German bunkers towards the end of WW2 were equipped with tank turrets as defensive measures, and when they didn't have a tank chassis to mount.
That place was in amazing condition! If the individuals posted there had ever seen action, it would have been pure Insanity! Thanks for the awesome tour.
It sure is in good condition. You also make another exellent point, that peak would be INCREDIBLY hard to take out. Luckily it never came to that. Thanks so much for watching.

I guess I have some adrenalin going through my system once I enter an abandoned site. Not really felt any weird feeling around me, but it`s very quiet in these places so I try to enjot that as much as I can:) Thanks for watching:)
Great video. Maybe the blast doors are all colored different is to minimize confusion in emergency they can just say close red doors close green doors. Idk just my guess.
Hi there:) I really apprecita that you take the time to tell me that you like my videoes:) I know alot because I read alot and go there and see the places with my own eyes. I also serve in the army:) Thank you for watching, sir.
I think that they painted doors with different colors so it would be easier to navigate. As you said - this bunker is like a little maze and I can imagine it would be quite easy to get lost especially during the real fight. Color-coded doors could make soldier's life easier.
The different colours mean different purposes for each room. Examples; red: Action ready/ Turret/ Firing slots, Yellow: Emergency exit, Green: Storage/ Living quarters. This was for easy Identification during a fire fight or any type of situation.
funny enough a madam and it's my pleasure. I have been living in a little village with some old ww2 bunkers. I even started to work in a local bunker museum and my dream has always been to just have a bunker for myself and refurbish them. I sadly i'm not well funded enough for any of that and not even to buy a camera with a fish eye lens to go out and do things like this. But I appreciate your work and I totally support you!
Well pardon me, good madam:) With you vet knowledge of bunkers I`m sure we would make an excellent team in the darkest of bunkers:) Hope you stick around to see my future videos and fill in the blanks if needed:)

Great Vid. Awesome place, seemed very small in a wierd way. Wonder what it's actual functionality was meant to be? A defensive position? A look out? Either way fascinated with these buildings you keep finding....
This bunker gave the defending side a position to defend from and attack the invading side once they came thru this road. It's a freeway to the capitol and so it had to be defended. Most bunkers of this type are put there specifically to make it difficult to attack for the invading side. Think it as a funnel where you have to go thru with at the smallest section a machine gun position incase anything hostile walks thru it walks thru a deadzone/ fringing radius of one of the gun and so making it very difficult to proceed.
@@OlavXO Btw did you ever get a chance to check out Lyngen- or Frøy-linjen up north? It's supposed to be a lot of the same constructions, even tho a lot of them are torn down already :/

I simply cannot imagine firing small arms like an M-14 thru those readout slots much less firing 50 cal machine guns ,the non dampened walls and floor would have deafening spl levels well over 180db which is nearly impossible to not go deaf .

Thanks for watching, bro:)
The bunker is in remarkable condition! Very rare to see one without a ton of water damage!
Absolutely true:)
Some know of this? The table full of candles. Cool bunkers you get to explore,
Aye, those candles are probably from locals having a good time inside.
I have no quarrel with them since the`re obviously not vandalizing.
Brilliant find... I found myself trying to redesign it in my head once I moved in :)
Thanks alot, madam:)
Would you want to live there?

Yeah, If you see any buttons labelled fire, try pressing them.
That`s always been one of my absolute nightmares; accidently pressing the " FIRE ATOMIC WEAPON" button:)
very good answer very good to see that it hasn't been vandalised or attacked
Could not agree more.
Too many of these fine places gets torn apart by vandals and grafitti "artists".
