Great vid. I cut down from 210 to 195 earlier this year, bulked back up to 205 and im starting a new minicut for august. I've been slowly inching my way to my desired bf% while adding maintenance/bulk phases to combat diet fatigue.
Making the bulk the new maintenance.. I felt that in my bones lol 😆 I’m guilty af. When my stomach started to grow, I knew I had to take accountability 🛑 unfortunately, after losing almost 50lbs in 2022, I gained 12 lbs since and I’m struggling so hard to get lean again.. I ALWAYS fall off track even though I know how to loose weight.. I know it doesn’t make sense 🙁
Man, that's still amazing progress! 50 lbs off the body is no joke. I do get what you mean though. Tbh man, I had something similar. Keep it going man, sometimes you have to do more extreme changes to get the ball rolling. For example, I barely budged at my prime bulk 225 by dropping off from 3800 -> 3k cals. My lowest cal intake before the bulk was 2600 & I felt terrible at that intake. I'm currently eating 2500, & I feel great. My thought is that calorie intakes change based on your lifestyle, things might be different now vs when you lost the 50 lbs. Keep going man, try new things out to make the process interesting again.
Got injured stopped tracking calories gained a good 15lbs in the span of 3-5 weeks now im fully recovered sitting at 250 😂 love the strength ive gained but ready to trim back down and fit in my clothes again
I started out 2 years ago lifting. I was 130 lbs at 6ft height. I have lean bulked the entire time with a few ohases of maintenence and i am now 180 lbs at 21 years old. I am finally gonna hit a cut because while inam no where near fat, i have lost quite a bit of definition in both my face and body. Ita physiologically difficult though cause i was always a twig and the idea of seeing the scale go down is honestly terrifying but like i need to cut.
Yeah man it can happen, if you think you've become too fat it might be a good idea to either recomp, or cut back down to below 20% and bulk back up from there.
Dude couldn’t handle being 20% body fat. I can relate but thats body dismorphia talking. A lot of these drawbacks could have been prevented if you just did your cardio.
You weren’t fat and your face wasn’t either, you were more muscular and probably stronger too. I think you just got self conscious about the extra fat. #bodydysmorphia
lol, when I was bulking I was far stronger and better than most of the guys in my Muay Thai gym so the bulk does not make you slow and lethargic. If you eat the normal foods ( high quality ) you will be fine.
At 3:59 you made it sound like eating a lot of carbs for a long time might cause insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. That is simply incorrect. What actually causes type 2 diabetes is having too much bodyfat for too long. You can get type 2 diabetes just as easily on a keto diet if you are too fat.
I have a question. I seem to have peaked both in size and strength. (Not in a good way i suppose.) Is it cuz I haven't cut once in my 4-5 years of working out? I have done a few mini cuts that lasts like a week but never a proper cut. I feel like i'll loose all my gains and strength if i do a proper cut. Also, since i started from like 50kgs bw, sitting at 80kgs feels good. Don't wanna get skinny and weak again. So...the million dollar question, should i cut? 🥲
1 week isn't enough to even properly start a cut. I've done month long mini cuts, where i went down in weight 5kgs, for noticeable appearance improvements and very minor strength loss. I say go hard and track your performance, you might be surprised how long you'll keep your existing strength on a cut. You'll also probably have the appetite to eat your way to 90kgs if you'll want😛
@@aljazslemc9569 got it. Thank you for your personal opinion and advice. I too shall hop on a cut post this winter. I just need the willpower to keep faith and see through, even tho with the strenth loss that comes with the cut.
1. Impaired cardio performance
2. Body dysmorphia
3. Impaired longevity
Thank you 💪🏻
Cardio and longevity is overrated and if you have body dysmorphia when youre bulked youre not gonna lose it from cutting
worst part of bulking is for sure the face fat...can't look at myself in the mirror anymore
I stopped bulking because the belly fat is looking disgusting 😂😂😂😂
ahah, REAL
nah i don't care about my bell fat.. i'm a powerlifter!! lol.. still skinny fat tho..

i just started my bulk
Make the most of it brotha! It's a worthy path regardless!

I finished my 15 year bulk at 355 pounds after a triple bypass! Down to 225 on my “cut” ! 🤣
How good are cookies to you???
oh Damn! At least we there XD

i hate how puffy my face gets when bulking
problem is am not satisfied with amount of muscle
Its cool how justins natty but has an enhanced brother.
What if you bulked too quickly and gained hella belly fat?
Did gain overall size, but my belly is bigger than ever before
prolly bc of large amounts of food, on a cut your stomach won't be poking out that much
@@shhhhh11111 Yeah, but is my situation valid for cutting even though I don't think I've gained enough muscle?
Yeah man it can happen, if you think you've become too fat it might be a good idea to either recomp, or cut back down to below 20% and bulk back up from there.
That's normal! Bloat & fat is apart of the bulk game. You get to have bigger biceps & T-shirt size in exchange lol

To be fair, 20% is pretty high

Cutting for women
1:22 crazy how a crappy angle can make an advanced lifter (no glazing intended) look like they don’t lift
No, I looked fat as f*ck! I was living in a delusion that I was fit. I regret bulking this hard lol
🍝🤔

@its_lexy_here712 depends on the length and intensity and your starting bf% you might not even notice much of a dip🙂
