First, the Icons and teaching in our Orthodox Christian Church did not change for almost 2000 years, and the way Christ is depicted also stands, nothing has changed! The fact that we for centuries knew that there were black, or darker skinned saints painted on our Icons is mystery only to the people who are outside of our Church, and the attempt to portrait the Christ other than he was depicted on Icons is simply a blasphemy.
People have to be very naive to follow this theory. I am not interested in the color of my LORD. I'm interested in believing that HE IS WHO HE SAID WHO HE IS. “ Jesus replied: "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me... John 14:6. This is my treasure, my banner.
@@geoffbuck6890 Just as you don't believe it in your mind. Do you believe in pain? If you believe in pain, have you seen the pain? No! You didn't see the pain, but you felt it, right? I have never seen my GOD, but I can feel HIM. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Naive? Do you care what it says in Revelation 1:14-15? ”The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.“ Revelation 1:14-15 NIV Who has woolly hair? And what color is bronze?
