It's good information even though I have no intention of bugging out into the Canadian wilderness at 72. I keep a kit for migrating to a different place within the population. Recently switched to plasma arc waterproof rechargeable lighters by Survival Frog and SOL. Nobody uses them for some reason. Infinite fire with a solar panel, orange, built in flashlight.

While I do believe knowing "the old ways" of doing virtually everything, especially land nav, is important... I've gotta say that portable charging has definitely come far enough to make bringing along a few modern gadgets easy enough as well.

I'm really enjoying these equipment videos.... So many people just focus on guns and stuff that goes on guns.... This is just as, if not more important. In a survival situation we would be using this equipment 99.9% of the time.... And hopefully never using the gun... If someone is planning on using there gun 99.9% of the time, well then they don't need any of this as they will be dead before needing it.... And yes this type of solar charger is necessary in the realm of modern survival gear.... Especially if you have night vision/IR , wml, optics, ECT..so many set up and portable battery chargers could benefit from this

Great info as usual and great kit. I have a fold out panel, a couple power banks w/built-in panals , and an additional bank to keep thinks charged. Carry double/triple batts and have rechargeable CR123 along with a couple RC lite's. Keep the good stuff coming. T-man

Never thought about a battery pack charger. Have Bushnell Solar panel and big power bank (which is heavy). This setup, if it meets the energy requirements, maybe I could shed some of the weight from the power bank and get a smaller one. Great stuff here dude

Long term sustainment and logistics is a seriously underestimated piece of operations and survival. It is hard to be a cool guy when the water and ammo run out and the gadgets no longer work...

Great video. Love the ideas and the redundancy you have built into your systems. A cool weight saving tip I could add is the Nitrcore 10,000 mAh battery bank. It’s only 5oz. It was an awesome upgrade to save weight from the anker I carried before.
Interestingly enough, buying two 10,000s actually weigh less than their 20,000 mAh model 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for the tip! I’ve been annoyed with the weight of the power bank I carry around and that Nitecore is substantially smaller and lighter.

How would you hide your cell phone signal. Most phones now days have internal batteries so removing the battery is not an option.

Why do you not carry a radio/sw/weather?
Most people live near transmission sources and updates/instructions might be important, no?
