- i've only scratched the surface here with the effects used in this album.Secrets within has the most insane rhythm guitar tone.Ring modulation sounds so futuristic, and it was the reason i wanted to make this cover.
GEAR INFO:
For latching the effects on and off,i programmed a midi controller with soft keys that are also expression pedals, the Keith mc Millen softstep ii.
The guitar is one of a kind,it's a Fernandes Ravelle baritone (27 inch) -Only 32 were made and this in particular belongs to my dear friend George Bokos (Stone cold dead/ex-Rotting Christ)
and is available for recording at Grindhouse Studios.
I did tonematching with axe fx ii and it got pretty damn close to the original.Although the guitar has a unique sound,the amp/cab response was there.Despite the old strings xD.

I’ll post another version sometime. I upgraded to Archetype Nolly so am getting nicer tones, and also bought a ring mod pedal so the breakdown sounds hot!

My guy, thank you so much! Just saw your comment, sorry about that! The ring mod is not tuned to a specific freq, as the axe fx has pitch detection and follows the notes i play!
@@JohnMorProds Ahhhh!!!! So it has the effect on every note. That's so awesome. I have the Ring Thing by EHX, and in order to have that 6th string mod sound, I end up tuning to the 5th string open note. So basically, every other note will have the sweet ring mod sound, except the open 5th string. Guess I need to get an AxeFx. haha. Thanks for your response!

@@tejassharma6822 This guitar isn't mine and i don't have it here now.But it felt normal for it's scale length which is 28 inches, as far as i remember.
At 1:32, how do you have the pitch automatically automate to the lower pitch? You think the Digitech Whammy could do the same?
Axe fx has a few ways of doing it,depending on your midi controller as well.I had it on latch mode,so anytime i pressed the button,it went up a semitone and returned to the root note after a while (watch my foot closely down on the right).I also automated it so that it would do it slowly.Not sure about the Digitech,but i think car bomb uses both Digitechs and axe fx in order to achieve all that.

That's a ring modulator effect which is my favorite thing in axe fx btw
@@JohnMorProds I absolutely love the sound of it. I use a thing called Guitar Rig 5 and there is a ring modulator thing on it. Idk what setting I would need to set it to so it can sound the same.
@@BiRDiEHere Unfortunately you need a very specific kind of ring mod which only the axe fx models have and for some reason, a few cheap zoom multieffects as far as i know.The frequency in which the ring modulation takes place, needs to follow the pitch of what is being played, or else it sounds static no matter what is being played.
The chug riff at around 50 seconds, is that some kind of flanger effect?
if you look closely,at the top of the screen,i show the axe fx grid and which effect is toggled on/off.At this case it's a ring modulator :)
