- I've been using Xpel's window tints for all my cars for more than 2 years. And I can confidently say they are my favourite window tints. In this video, I'll be sharing a quick review and show you how the tints work.

Nice vid! I just got XPEL prime XR plus (their top of of the line tint) on my car last week and I feel in love with it instantly. From my past experiences with tints, xpel has surpassed any other tints I previously had. I was a bit skeptical on the heat rejection, but I work in downtown Los Angeles and my car sits under the sun all day. When it’s time to go out for lunch or running an errand from one of our other locations, I don’t even feel the heat from my car being under the sun all day. It honestly makes me forget or overlook that a day is usually 89-95 degrees. I love it! I highly recommend getting this on your car, the price is definitely worth it.
Glad you find the XR Plus great as well. I have them on my Porsche Boxster Spyder too. I love how it rejects heat but still allows clear visibility on my red seats too. Yep and its worth the price!

So I want to put this on an airstream. I hear that the temps of glass on Tesla roofs can crack due to heat build up due to tint. What are your thoughts or concerns installing on Airstream windows
I just did the Xr Plus for F30. Loving the heat rejection could hardly feel the heat from direct sunlight

I am having hard time deciding which tint.. in my area it is illegal to put tint on the windshield. It is not allowed to put lower than 70% on the front side either. Also i often drive at night and during daytime i hate wearing sunglasses. I like 100% clear windows all across but its just too hot.. i am tempted to put 70% on all glasses including the windshield.. but xpel xr and xr plus has that weird greenish bluesh hue tint which look cheap. I can't seem to find the right tint film with the perfect hue that would block heat and uv. My car is all white interior and exterior. If i go with xpel xr plus it will cost me twice than if i just go with XR.. the xpel xr plus has a more pronounced blueish at 70% which i want to avoid. On the other hand 50% on the side look better than 70% but again it is illegal, in some area bad cops will give you a ticket for each tinted windows. The best tint are usually straight from the factory.. lastly i like cleaning my glasses and you can't use amoniac glass cleaner which are usually the best. I have an appointment in a week to put xpel plus so i have 1 week to decide which film to put
which one is more expensive prime XR plus (nano ceramic) or prime XP (metal flakes)?

Well if I could get the Xpel Prime I would. Reflective should keep the car cooler than absorptive, I think.
How is it compared to 3M crystalline CR40?
Would it be possible to stack these tints on top of each other for even more heat rejection? I know some people do it with other tints to get super dark windows but how would it work with these, since one absorbs heat and one reflects? Would they cancel each other out?
Think you can stack a ceramic tint behind a metallic one. But it’s my speculation and my opinion. Better to have an expert advice. 🙏
11:03 Does the XP tint negatively impact mobile voice or data communication signal reception? BTW you did a spectacular job of explaining these products and demonstrating their effectiveness.
No, so Xpels website says it doesnt affect it, because it doesnt contain metallic bits.
@@abrahammc2125 that's precisely why I asked my original question because he clearly stated in this video (@ 11:03) that the XP version uses metallic elements in its composition.
It doesn't impact mobile / voice based on my experience.
Is the prime XP sold in the USA? I usually only see XR and XR plus being offered
Unfortunately no. It's a special offering in our region.

Both are great. I think Prime XP is the better tint. It's only available in Malaysia though
Does the XR Plus has the low angle haze?
Nope. absolutely clear!
low angle haze is a characteristic flaw of all ceramic tints from what i have learned. Xpel just seems to have the least low angle haze of all the products on the market. The reason why he says it's clear is because he is using VLT 69% or VLT 72% films which means that the chemical composition that causes this effect on the film is at its "weakest strength". On much darker films i'm certain this would not be the case.
what are you guys paying for all side windows and rear ?
