The Secret Footballer - Dave Kitson? (Part2)

In his 11th May 2012 column in the Guardian, the TSF relates his experience of being relegated on the last day of the season, describing his regrets from one game:
"Moments stick in your mind, like the mistimed jump that I made that led to a headed clearance being volleyed in"
The above video is taken from the Fulham v Reading match in the 2007/2008 season (at the end of which Kitson's Reading were relegated on the last day). It shows Dave Kitson (no.12) heading a clearance which is volleyed in by Simon Davies.
Is Dave Kitson the secret footballer? The evidence mounts!

yeah I think Kitson. I heard his name as a favourite when starting to read his book and it all matched up pretty well. No way it's Danny Murphy (the previous favourite) as he never played for a newly promoted premier league side

He played for charlton after they won promotion to the premier league, he also mentioned in one of his recent columns that a good cup run can cause a team which he said had happened to him, this coincides with charlton during the season they got relegated

bit harsh to blame himself for that goal, 19/20 times davies would have smashed that into the stands
