I love how this fight is handled. You have to challenge them or they won't initiate, and after you win they show you respect as a warrior and none of the other mantis enemies fight you unless you attack first, showing respect as well. It's so cool!
As long as you dont have any minion charms equipped. Those guys dont forgive and never forget and will still attack them.

There’s actually a mod for that, it’s called the Tribe of Battle. Look it up on UA-cam.

Jurassic Playz maybe. We can see that the infection makes some things bigger, like Vengeflys, but the Traitor Lord is really big. I bet he was about their size, maybe shorter and wider, when he was a mantis lord
@@AshenDust_ the throne that is broken in the original fight was the same size as the others so I think at most he was the same size as his sisters

It was awesome and I would give anything to experience it again.

Radiant SOB wasn’t too bad but gods of battle were really tough to master even on attuned

I was at the last mask, they admited defeat, bowed to me and the achievement came up "respect" thats one of the most wholesome moments that i had playing a game
It wasn't until it was over, that I've realised there has never been a better boss battle in my game history before. And I say that after finishing Baldur's Gate, Dark Souls 2 and Dark Souls 3.
Even before it was one of the best, but the fact that they admitted defeat when I was at a last mask, showing respect together with an entire tribe, made this better.
Quick question: have you *seen* the wyzen fight in Asura’s Wrath?
It has everything Asura’s Wrath has to offer (gameplay wise.) And it’s the first boss of the game.

If you’re taking about seeing the game: I suggest playing it, it’s a great game
If you’re talking about the boss fight: then you have bad taste in boss fights
Same! However, I also love the boss fight with the Abyss Watchers in Dark Souls 3. So maybe I just have an infatuation with fighting multiple enemies. Doesn't help that these 2 fights have SPECTACULAR music.
Honestly, Mantis Lords is a really fun bossfight. There's no unpredictability to it (obviously they use different attacks, but you're always given a moment to react); everything happens on a rhythm, so learning the timings turns it from a moment-to-moment sequence of actions into a single extended dance. The result is this incredibly satisfying high-speed flow of attacks and dodges.
Apart from that, the whole respect thing is great too.

One of the easier bosses because of how you can get into a rhythm. That said, still one of the most fun, especially in pantheon. And the music rocks.

That is actually really good, better than the og actually! Lookin forward to more Hollow Knight as you do a great job with it, I am hoping for Grey Prince Zote or Hive Knight eventually as they are my favorite tracks in the game.

@@boid9761 I don't hesitate to call Sisters of Battle my favorite boss fight of all times, of all games. Such a thrilling dance that makes the heart race. I remember the half-second beat where there is silence before the third one stands up, the dawning realisation of what I was in for and the sharp snap back to focus my mind went through as soon as the fight started. This track does justice to the experience
Imagine a mod that kinda took Doom and Hollow Knight and mashed it together, then added these tracks
I think (not played the game myself) that the fight against the Mantis Lords is one of the most fun boss battles in the game!

Ah, this was a favorite of mine. The music fit with the flow of the fight. This boss was my first ever radiant completion due to it being too fun to put down for a bit.

The Final nightmare
Seems good for a mod...wait...OH MY GOD THIS IS MY CHANCE TO MAKE A CONCEPT. Ok. Here's the concept: Imagine you just defeated Nightmsre King Grimm, ok? A flame marker would appear at the exact point where you fight the mantis lords. You arrive at the flame and get to challenge the mantis lords. After you defeat the first one the room bursts into Grimm's flame and the Mantis Lords now have a new look which is meant to look like the troupe members design. The theme would begin to play and all three lords would jump at once. All the attacks now release some sort of flame. Likez the dash could release a pillar when the Mantis lord jumps back up, or the throwing attack could be much faster and somewhat larger. And when a Mantis Lord would dash to the ground it could release a few of those bat like flames.
