The eighties was the most competitive era of great dancehall music .The eighties saw hundreds of extremely talented djs .Live dancehall on sound system was the best way other than making recorded music to make it big .Lovindeer being the articulate creator he was avoided live dancehall doing selected shows and recordings .Lovindeer had the potential but was not that hungry for success in music as he could have gotten .I once heard he had a job as a teacher I am not sure of that .Many a great artistes did their thing their way which came back to haunt them later .Like Josie Wales and Brigadier Jerry stayed away from recording studios ...Lovindeer stayed away from Sound Systems at the time .
