Bingo. I always do well, always get placed with poor teammates. Loss after loss. Then I'll get a match where my team is kicking ass, at the last second lose by 1. I uninstalled after that. I said the same thing, "I refuse to be cannon fodder".
I'm back to Call of Duty after taking probably a decade off, I would say I'm an average player that is around a 1.5 kd. But there are games I'll join Midway through and within the first minute I'm dead three times without even seeing anybody, I thought it was just me sucking but maybe this game is broken
Cannon fodder. 😂😂 I just push through. The best technique ive used is simply limiting your match filter to one game mode at a time. For extra precautions, turn off cross play. U then limit the parameters the ai can incorporate in its calculations.
I caved and bought mw3 on sale. It seemed to be the best choice considering the older cods are dead. I've gotten into some matches guys drop 80-100 kills. In standard and 10v10 doms or hard point. It's wild, I noticed some guys eating bullets one game, then the next game they get smoked. Also blocked people that are definitely cheating aren't actually blocked. It's great.
I've had so many experiences like the one you had on day 3. It's been something I noticed since MW2 where my team is doing the steamrolling and then they put 1 or 2 guys in the match that are leagues better than the team that was getting pooped on and turns the game around. I really thought those were just "random occurences" but they started becoming frequent.
Isn't that kind of what should happen though? It seems the only people complaining about this skill-based matchmaking are the people that have hundreds of hours invested in the game wanting to dominate people that just get on for an hour per night to have some mindless fun after a day of being a real member of society
@CaffreyPlays well let's just be realistic, probably 90% of total players are just "casuals" that don't go into private training lobbies and practice and watch UA-cam videos to get better. I promise you that 90% is happy just playing other "casuals". Even in sports they have different divisions for a reason, you don't see D1 college players and NBA players going to the gym and playing pickup games with the 40 year olds. Trust me if a gym all of a sudden had a bunch of college players coming in and dominating their local pickup games they would stop coming, same thing with Call of Duty.
6:32 this is that Profile Data thing they doing now. Apparently, they use your player data for ghost player whenever you're offline. So that miracle player on the enemy team, was most likely someones player data that the game plopped in there to save the other team and because they weren't really a person playing the scoreboard can't even tell that someone was there
Im convinced there is just bots in the game designed to give you a specific experience literally every game changes midmatch and real people dont play like that
@mr.almezeini647 probably why the servers feel so bad too, AI is very expensive to run so the games you get in with the worst connection also feel like the ones with wall hackers and unrealistic players because the server is running 1 or more AI players onto of everything else
If you play nuke town it's easy to see the bots. The bots will gun down anyone trying to get to spawn. Doesn't matter what you do the enemy just instantly knows where you are.
i am a master prestige who plays lobbies that feel like league play daily and what ive noticed is that it is still possible to get bot lobbies but when playing solo its usually in the mornings where lobbies are the best and in the featured moshpits. Those are always the times i get close to nukes. i do like competitive matches but if im in a game where the algorithim decides its my turn to lose then i just leave.
Yeah those early morning lobbies are actually crazy. I got 10 kills in one life with the blast trap the other day. Got a nuke and they just kept running into the blast trap shit was so funny.
The problem is, they track your stats across all CoDs. I'm a Crimson Ranked Player and even when I get fresh into a CoD I always match players who are really good at the game already. Even though I always need to get used to the Games for a week or two. They sometimes gift you easier rounds but your Account has a set "Skill Level" (I dont know of you tried to access your personal Data from Activision so you could see your skillrating in the last 4 years) and they will not vary too much in terms of putting you easily below your set Skill level. So there's no way to abuse this system. Same as patching reverseboosting. Your Skill Level is set and won't change easily UNTIL you play significantly worse for a extended amoubt of time. They also (due to the spreadsheet) track your movement etc. So basically every move you always do is known to the algorhythm.
Your experiment tells me one thing. The algorithm is trying to engage players. Not just one, but all players. The algorithm will protect low skill players, try to engage medium skill players and pro players. Problem is is that there are more low and medium skilled players. So the high tier players are not only getting the shaft, but also the algorithm rewards buyers in the shop. You experiment offers you what you're looking for to have fun, but it has to do the same thing for everyone else as well, but especially for players spending money in the shop. You may be able to make it more fun for yourself, but because the algorithm is gonna do the same for other players. You'll be screwed not long after.
Ya it's an interesting theory. I was just curious to see if I could bend the match making by changing my behavior. I plan on doing a video where I spend money in the shop and see what happens
I only play about 3 times a week because that's all i have time for and i would consider myself an average player and i always get the sweatiest lobbies, so it puts me off spending my valuable time just to get shit on
I'm quite familiar with the state of flow and generally chase that feeling in online gaming but black ops 6 feels quite synthetic where if I start to warm up and do well I feel like I'm being punished. The best state of flow I ever got was with PUBG back in 2017-2019 I miss that time frame PUBG so much lol
When I used to play Madden quite a bit I used to love sweaty games, it sucks you don't always win but it's still hella fun to be sweating and invested in the game
Completely agree. I think the worst part is the servers fall apart and we can feel the manipulation. If I happen to match with good players I'm fine with sweating hard. I just don't like the game deciding its my turn to lose
Very neat video brother I literally can tell “like most” when I’m in lobbies I’m suppose to loose in. It’s actually incredible how obvious it is I just laugh. I’ve often wondered how it worked how content creators and streamers stayed in bumb lobbies
The fatal flaw in this experiment is the looping pattern. Let's say you go through all of the trouble to back out when one of the situations occur. Eventually, the algorithm will throw you a bone and give you a good lobby or two. You're in that lobby; you have fun and pop off with a 3.0 or something, and that happens for one or two games. Guess what? The algorithm will start viewing you as a higher skill than the rest in the lobbies and throw you right back in with the sweats. The best advice I've seen so far is this: play like the people you want to play against. Hate the movement gods? Don't do it yourself. Hate the campers? Don't camp. Hate the grenade-chuckers? Don't constantly thrown them yourself. The system in place right now tries to match you up with people your own "play style". While not exactly the same context, it's basically "You reap what you sow".
This experiment wasn't about backing out necessarily. It was full on closing the game down to see if it would change my match making to get me to play longer.
@@CaffreyPlays I understand. The point I was making was it can only be temporary; no one should make the assumption the test you performed will have lasting results. Anyone expecting to stay in more casual lobbies would have to constantly do as you did. It's fun to manipulate the manipulators though!!
After the amount of time we put into it, Cold War will forever hold a spot in my heart. After your last video showing that you still got a match fairly quickly, I think I might just stick with it.
I think this game is all about algorithms. Even when camo grinding there were times I needed one more head shot to get to the next camo and I shoot someone in the back of the head at close range and get the kill but no head shot. Also when doing camo challenge for rocket launchers taking out more than the required streaks but no credit. They know your grinding and you have to finish the next game to get credit for the camo you just conveniently unlock on first try in the next game. It’s to the point where even solo zombies feels off sometimes. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Wait why is it that it "should be" a few average, few bad, and few good? Every game should have bad players who get completely destroyed by the good players?
This is an arena shooter nobody gives a fuck about balance back in my day there were kids with .3 kd ratios who would put a thousand hours into the game
Shut up bro. This is the gaslighting Activision uses to make it seem like their sbmm and ebmm is a good thing. All a game needs is light sbmm and a ranked mode, that’s it
I started leveling and went negative ten games in a row just fucking around. My average is a 1.7 and I feel like I’m in burger town USA, I genuinely believe they fill lobbies with bots
When it comes to games with heavy eomm/sbmm, I fully support leaving if it feels purposely against you. As for reporting that person, if I fully believe they're cheating ill report. If they aren't then they're fine, but if enough people think they are then Activision can sort it out. Its their problem since they don't do their job and expect us to do it for them.
You should do the test again with 2 new accounts for 30 days. With these 2 accounts make one free to play and the other one spend quite a bit in the store. I guarantee the one that has spent the money will get better servers and lobbies for longer. Everyone needs to understand and that yes it is engagement based manipulation but they want the people who spend to be more engaged than the ones who don’t. So the more you spend the more the algorithm will keep you in the game
It does work but you have to be consistent and more punishing. For instance I’ll play about 6 hours and suffer through it to the point where I’m in sweaty lobbies constantly with hackers and I’ll quit for a week. I’ll come back and play for same time until it gets unbearable again. Next 7 day break then on again and I win almost every game until around 4 hour mark, then the decline and when it’s bad I stop again, this time for 3 days, and so forth and so on. You have to beat the algorithm with dedication. Not just logging off for the day
@@CaffreyPlays fr and i see other youtubers playing the old cods and they’re having a better time due to less player count/ less sbmm. the algorithm the game uses to pair us up is causing so many issues in the back end
Man, this isn't just you And you don't deserve this heat. Keep doing what you're doing, don't let my one comment get in the way of what you wanna do with your career. This is a commentary on youtube videos as a whole ive grown tired of this editing style, the small sound effects, the clicking/typing sounds when putting up captions on screen, the smooth transitions of pictures on screen, or the tearing paper sfx when new frames are on screen Its starting to get under my skin. time and time again, I click on an interesting video, with an interesting title, that appears to be informative and entertaining, and Im met with this... SunnyV2 style of editing. I used to LOVE youtube essays, until every single one of them became filled with this style of editing. it was fine when it was only one or two channels doing it, but now its every video I watch, every video filled with dings and click-clacks to "sound appealing" and/or shoot serotonin into my brain Im tired of it. This is no hate to you at all as a creator, I just finally got hit with the straw that broke my camel's back, and needed to air my grievances so I can just finally move on. Beyond all that, Ive got no hate toward you, and I hope nothing but big things for you. I didn't mean to make this seem like a hit piece directed only at you. I hope you have a good day nonetheless though!
Guy sniping was definitely cheating. He'd look to the direction you're running then when you change direction he'd track you the other way and quick scope which probably also means he has aim bot as well.
I've noticed specifically in the last week, that lobbiess i've entered have been absolute dogshit. instantly killed on spawn, spawned on, one hit killed with stupid weapons. Constant packet issues/freezes ESPECIALLY When i'm on a kill streak INSTANT PACKET LOSS AND LAG. i have a KDR overall of 1.20 which is shit including that elimations count towards your total KDR. My highest KDR has been 1.37 that was two prestige ago. With people constantly leaving i believe im being pared up with constant hackers and aimbots. Pretty much about to bin the game
Ya connection quality has been abysmal. My KDR is 1.35 but i've sacrificed alot going for these stupid camo challenges. Especially the launchers holy efff
I do this sometimes. If i feel like im just bad i wont back oit, but if i feel like the game is fighting me, i just back out. What happens to me is at 6pm im at my max and im playing good but then im scared to even play later at night because i wont play well against the lobbies i was in at 6pm.
No the game is gaslighting us all. Part of the reason why I made this video (besides the experiment) was to get some feedback from other people. I assume alot of us 1kd and up are dealing with the same thing
idt ping is a good metric to even consider here. i highly doubt that the game would give you a worse connection just bc you are having good games. it doesn't even make sense from a flow state perspective since ping is independent of game difficulty. a playing session with consistent high ping games will always be more likely to be shorter than one with low ping games, regardless of how good the player does within those games. from a developer's pov, it makes the most sense to always try to match with a server that physically near you then place you into the appropriate elo within the list of games that the server is hosting. if you are having a bad connection, chances are that it's simply the game's horrible netcode, load balancing, and maybe some connection flaws on your end (like maybe ur on wifi and u get bad bufferbloat, etc etc)
you must be new to this 😂 Ping is not a high priority in call of duty match making and every independent test confirms this. We just had new data come out from someone playing in new york matching to texas servers.
@@CaffreyPlays bro texas is only 1 timezone away from ny. im from ny and connecting to dallas would only be like 60-70ms of ping. that is not enough to cause lag spikes. it's not optimal competitively but avg players should not feel a significant difference in playing experience in a public match. it would take connecting to all the way to oregon (3 whole timezones away from ny) just for me to get over 100ms of ping and feel some lag. do you honestly think that between oregon and ny, there isn't enough sweaty players to make a lobby they could put me in if i was having good games? why would a game developer purposefully put u in a high ping game if that itself will cause u to log off even if youre doing well? it makes sense to put u in a sweaty lobby as rage playing is a thing and you'll always feel like u could just lock in and overcome the challenge thus keeping u in flow state as you said. but consistent high ping? that's out of your control and many people would just log off. so again, from a developer's perspective, there is zero upside to putting u in high ping games so why they do that? citing independent tests from cod redditors who know nothing about networking is not an answer to that very simple question. on top of that, ur implying that the worst players in cod will only ever get low ping games. does that also rationally make sense? cmon man
it is strange that your ping spikes as you get close to certain players i dont know enough about this kinda stuff but i call it "Ping Aura" and it always seems to be the enemy's hard carry
i'm 53 gamer since 1980 my first ever online mp fp shooter was cod aw i had the most fun and highest kd (almost 3) in bo3 in bo6 ranked i solo q'ed to gold 1 and almost lost my entire mind during the process i'm a solo on ps4 pro not prestigeing at all cod isn't fun anymore i used to play hours with a friend (aw, bo3) back in the days i was playing ranked trying to hit gold for more than 12 hours almost straight losing every game i have no problem with fast paste gaming nowadays i last an hour in mp before i get completely burnt out it's just not fun
@@CaffreyPlaysi'm an early retiree working 3 days a week but caring for my cat is more important than a new console :) i think the kd isn't that crazy because the sound perks were like cheating in bo3 i used to play hc kk only
He wasn't. He's using DS4 Windows and ART OF GAMING's Altered Gamesound. You can hear people from over 50 meters away (no joke) it's a PC thing. Unless your Crossplay was off or you had Ninja equipped this is it. I'm a 2.3 KD player and I know all these Mischievious tricks. 😭 It's clearly that stupid Sound Altering Shit. There's also "Sound Equalization" on PC that many PC players Abuse
So you rage because the game doesn't put you against players significantly worse than yourself? BTW, if you get 40 kills and 3 deaths, you are a sweat.
I wish you could do that in ranked i got banned about 4 times for backing out from incompetent teammates and they don’t allow you to back out once they find a match for you which is kind of dumb
This has worked since at least mw2019 I got sick of it and just started backing out of shit games and lobbies ended up way easier than random matchmaking in say xdefiant with no sbmm
I don't really know what the fix is here, if people that are really good are just wiping the floor with average and below average players, those players are going to back out immediately and quit playing the game. Think about it, every time a person has a 4 KD ratio, there's probably somebody out there with a 0.25 ratio to balance it
Nobody is asking to be paired with bots non stop. At rhe very least we're asking for a good server connection, organic variety and to not be manipulated based on whatever outcome the data says we need to have to keep us playing more
@CaffreyPlays I think a good connection should be the first statistic use in any Lobby, but I'm sorry after that I think it should be skill-based to an extent. You may not agree but I look at it like professionals and amateurs, if somebody is literally a streamer that gets paid to play 10 hours of Call of Duty a day they shouldn't be playing against people that just play for a couple hours a week. And really they should have no interest in playing with scrubs, they're not going to get better just dominating bums
I think you had the right idea for this video, but I don't think it was necessarily executed properly. Let me explain. I am a little bit of average of a player, so maybe that has something to do with it. If you go positive in every game, even the ones that you think you're doing really bad in, the matchmaking will be less dramatic. Without using a VPN or two boxing, the best way to get fun matches with bots, is to reverse boost, and that entails a lot of different things. For example, crouch walking while looking around and not shooting anyone, not ADSing and act like you're shooting at your teammates, and so on. If you do this for an hour or more, you will get into those spot lobbies. But just like you mentioned in the video, once you're in those lobbies and you start doing well, you're only going to get a couple or a few games like that, before you get put back into your normal sweaty lobbies. I loved this video! The only negative thing about it, as that it was too short! You got a new sub from me!
Thanks man. So this experiment was more targeting the concept of "engagement" meaning the game would give you matches it thinks will keep you playing longer. So I was trying to give it data in short that said: bad lobbies = less playtime Good lobbies = more playtime
i think that on consoles you would get better results the pc community always has been sweaty , i believe they track our data since the original warzone , movement speed how frequent your button mashing is, accuracy and the gun you use maybe even more than that . i hopped on mw22 and dominated for 2 days straight before meeting the frieza force with movement and auto fire shotguns , decided to crouch walk around the map for 2 matches and i got the normal lobbies again all nin all i think two boxing with a 0.4 kd side account is the way to go from now on i would never buy bo6 twice at launch or even once because its souless woke money grab but to each his own . good idea with the video subbed
Not that I want to add work to your work lol 😂 but I think a 20 to 30 matches per day would significantly improve your testing for this. For the last 2 years I’ve only played MP to level up guns and camos for WZ. So I’m not playing for objectives or trying to get wins, just the amount of kill’s needed to level up my gun and accomplish the camo grind for the specific weapons I want. I don’t go pass getting diamond for AR’s and SMG’s maybe LMG’s, once I’ve gotten that done, I won’t play MP for the rest or the year. Oh and another thing, I refuse to prestige lol 😂
So the issue is I can't do 20 or 30 matches per day. This experiment was about logging off call of duty entirely not just backing out. You can blackout of 10 games in a row and it will half your skill rating giving you easier lobbies. But once you start playing well it will kick you right back up
@ yes correct you did say that my apologies. See, I WFH and What’s weird to me is, no matter if I play immediately after loading up or an hour later, my 1st game the algorithm will 90% of the time add me to a match in progress. If I immediately back out, it will attempt to add me to a match in progress, 2 to 3, sometimes 4, games in a row. Don’t recall SBMM or EOMM being this psycho. No till foil hat here but they might’ve lost control of the AI and don’t know how to fix it without scraping the game entirely lol 😂 . Season 2 we might get an overhaul that’ll turn things around but that’s a big if!!
i did this on release of bo6. every game i get bad teammates, bad connection, top250 lobbys, hacker, no fun, i just leaved the game. you will get nicer lobbys tho but only for like 2-4 games. so i uninstall. best choice life is great
Im a prestige 2 and any time i get a lobby with players over a 4 or 5 prestige i just leave the lobby. Ive started getting lobbys with lvl. 55 players alot more
Here’s how the algorithm works, you get hard lobbies and easy lobbies every few games no matter your skill level, ever wonder why you get a high scoring game and crush it, but then the next game, you completely become the bot? It’s because every two or three games it just automatically does it, no matter how good or bad you did, every other lobby is easy and hard
@ thx man, but I seriously think that’s how it works, in my opinion obviously but, it’s done to keep people interested and engaged by doing so, I kill it in one game, go 62-19 then next game I can’t even hit someone 2 feet in front of me, I go 20-18, then next game I get dismantled and go 14-26, ten next game I go 42-14, and it continues like that literally all day for me anyways but I do see what you mean, but by what I’m talking about, it’s to keep people engaged
@tommy_77613 like I said it may "feel" that way. But there's thousands of lines of code running to put together a match. They've been collecting data for 5 years improving this system over time to perfectly curate a gameplay experience that keeps you playing the longest. But it's not working anymore so I'd bet we see a significant change soon
@@tommy_77613it doesn’t happen like that for me. Every game is a sweatfest until I’ve been crapped on long enough where the game finally says I’ve had enough and throws me into easier lobbies. I could easily record my experiences and prove this.
So, you and I have a similar skill level, although, I play the smaller maps and I can say that I’m slightly worse than you. But I think the small maps are mostly to blame for that(spawns). Anyway, I’d have to agree that you didn’t give it enough data to change your game enough. You did too well in every game that it also didn’t see a reason to change anything much. Most of the changes it does are on a delay. I back out of games where I’m doing completely terrible(going negative) when they’ve spawn trapped and one tap. I usually stay in games where it makes me go even. I’ll get 20 kills and 20 deaths or 15/15 etc. get one kill and die or two kills and get two deaths. Or, when the games are good, I usually stay. When I’m above 1.5KD. When I have a 3KD, the players feel like bots. Which are average players. It feels like you’re playing with people who don’t sweat so hard. A lot of my deaths are from my own errors as a player. Anyway, what I’m saying is that you need more data. When I backed out consistently from games that were extremely sweaty and kept doing it while also going negative and I stopped using the movement and started camping more, After like 10-20 games, the games started feeling slower. You can’t do well every match and expect the game to get easier. You have to throw all of the variables in there with it. This game records all of your data. The movement, the ratio, the times you back out, the streaks you use. Even the bundles you buy.
So you're entire comment is based on the premise that this is "skill based match making". This video is trying to test the idea that it's more focused on "engagement or playtime" based match making. So I was trying to tell the game what will and won't keep my playing longer.
I spent a month trying to see what the lowest possible skill division is in rank for someone who just grinds. I get 1 maybe 2 kills a game, no obj, and 20-30 deaths per game. Im silver 1 and getting 90-150 sr per win still. If this doesnt prove that ranked is just a show of how much you grind then idk what is.
I agree that the sniper on rewind was tracking you and that the matchmaking it's consistently rough. But Nuketown being a good map? It's not. It's nothing more than a nostalgic crutch for BO fanboys that's almost as chaotic as shipment on MW. It's neither interesting or fun anymore even when you're dominating. Nuketown has to go.
Nuketown is only bad because the game moves so fast. Remember back in the old days, everyone moved slower so it was easier to play. Now, you kill an enemy and they spawn and take 5 seconds before they’re in that exact same spot again. Before, it would take ten seconds. It’s kinda silly because the maps stay the same size but the actual gameplay gets faster so it doesn’t really scale well.
First the matchmaking is INCREDIBLY unethical in COD... but I don't see why people want to avoid this aspect of it, like you really want to go beat up on bad players? I get being tired of getting in ultra sweaty lobbies 24/7, it get's INSANE and it's like ya... goes too far... To be specific I took like 60 mg of adderal once and was playing Stakeout 24/7 and I could not believe how sweaty it got, like every player was diamond at minimum, I ran into pro players which never happens, like I've never seen anything like that, all you could is just spawn, get a kill, instantly die lmao, terrible experience... but in general like I like that I'm facing competent players who are around my skill and not complete noobs
I think most people aren't looking to stomp bad players every match. We just don't like the manipulation tactics where the game is deciding who's turn it is to lose and who to pair you up with in an effort to keep you playing longer. The way the game used to work was take 12 people and then sort them into 2 evenly balanced teams. Which is what most people are asking for.
@@CaffreyPlays I see, I guess i just remember when it was like that like I would just get top of the leaderboards every game with like 2 or 3 kd lol... I mean I played, it was fun, but overall I prefer having a little more challenge... although ya, there's so many other issues, I don't even think about it atp tbh...
It literally kicked us out of WARZONE multiple times. Any other game I play does just fine. CoD is the only one that can’t seem to keep up. IMO, they are choking everything down from their servers to our pcs with their “anti-cheat”. Again imo, it does very little to actually prevent cheating, but the majority of the motive behind that kernel level software is compiling data. From using our cameras to log our reactions to using our pcs as “drones” to train AI. All for a goal to keep as many people playing as possible. The more hours played the more likely people are to purchase skins or whatever…micro charges.. wait until it starts offering personalized skins to an individual by logging his/her usage between all his/her connected devices at that given time. It’s all about trying to deceive people out of their money. I wouldn’t be surprised to see 100% bot lobbies geared to make a team feel as if they are doing great and progressively improving which gives a sense of accomplishment. Again which all of this equates to more time in game which equals more micro charges….complete. Yall remember frogger? 😂 good times
I have no problem with any monetization as long as it' not pay to win and the game is actually good. But ya you're spot on with the game just being a data collection tool. There's no real reason for kernel level anti cheat.
Yo this make a lot of sense. No wonder after 2 rounds of me dominating this one trash talker group, the game just put me in a new lobby with completely new people.
I play this on MnK. Its pretty fun and feels good. Past that, BO6 offers nothing to scratch your fair, competitive itch. Youre always left...wanting. Truely the Chinese take-out of gaming
I just don't like my matches being decided by what some algorithm thinks will tickle my brain and con me into playing longer. I'm not even really that bothered by sbmm. But I'd prefer more organic and random matchmaking. Variety is fun
@@CaffreyPlaysoh no this wasn’t in reference to the topic of the vid, it was the lil side apology you had made for your aim even tho you’re playing cracked and beaming. That stress of feeling like you have to play perfectly all the time as a CC blows lol
Ya you can always just not play it. But then it gives you one easy first game on and you're right back into it. I was trying to see if I could make it give me better games consistently
This is interesting… and a little concerning. If more games do this, I feel, we could be headed for some really bad and shady stuff. I’m glad Black Ops 6 is failing because if this whole “optimized engagement match making” thing fails hard it will surely be a strong deterrent for other companies to try the same crap. So I vowed to never give Activision any more money during Warzone 3 and decided not to buy Black Ops 6 and I’m so glad I did.
@ when I play like with a friend. Plays the same as me we are around the 2.5 k/d ratio. When I join his lobbies the ping is 10-25ms. When he joins mine it’s 60-75. We play the exact same way but his lobbies r way easier. I don’t get it
I might be a anomaly but I enjoy testing g my skill in domination, if u want boring 3kd +games or u back out like that's stupid AF, especially to the people who rather win then focus on kd, like I understand not always wanting to sweat but legit backing out of every game that doesn't go your way is such weak mentality, if u dont want sbmm just play mw3 the ttk is higher and u can act like your not bad, as someone who likes a challenge I don't see a issue with sbmm makes games feel more intense and a win feels more deserved, but I love those guys who have a kda of 1.00 win loss is 0.50 and make UA-cam with games were the shredding against bots all becuase yall need attention and boost your ego that's your better than you think u are, backing out of games just so you can artficialy get lower lobbies to the point it's basically bots is such weak mentality, anyway thats just my opinion on the issue please don't flame me as your opinion may differ
I think you fundamental misunderstand the entire situation. You're misunderstanding the match making system and also why players don't like it. It would take me a few paragraphs to explain but I wouldn't be so confident if I were you.
I was popping off with the pp-919 and the bext match was sweats with diamond pp-919s i csnt nake this shit up😭 i just thought it was funny and left the match
Pretty sure this is just hidden MMR as this point. Since BO6 matchmaking really emphasizes with skill. I was playing overwatch 2 ranked there were some games where my team just spawn traps the enemy team. then i have a game were its evenly fairly matched, then i have another game where im easily always at a disadvantage no matter what i do. Im a Gold ranked player btw. This also happens in bronze rank... Then we have titanfall 2 where i literally get quadruple kills so easily i start questioning myself. Because titanfall 2's matchmaking can be brutal as well. But then since titanfall 2 has a cheating problem, i was in a lobby where someone had 30 kills even though the match just barely just started. I do feel like titanfall 2 does put me at a disadvantage. But when that game was popular on steam, i was getting a lot of easy kills. Since titanfall 2 is practically dead, its pretty hard for me have fun playing against sweats and cheaters where im at a disadvantage... not to mention Titanfall 2 does the similar way when joining lobbies mid game.... Its blatantly obvious most modern multiplayer games have hidden mmr. I wouldn't be surprised if marvel rivals has this. Really tired of modern multiplayer pvp games disrespecting an average players time and money... Theres even matches in rocket league where its pretty obvious you're going to loose at the start no matter how good you are defending by angles. Bring custom servers back....
BO6 definitely has a hidden mmr but the system is more tailored towards giving you certain outcomes that will keep you playing longer. So I was seeing if I could "trick" it so to speak
Ive said this since mw2 something wrong kill cams dont add up you do too good its like the game says bring him back down.. feel like bots or you playing a shadow of yourself your aim gets bad half a milli sec killed enemies spawn left right front back lol i be like im off i really laugh and say this game a joke and just grind camos
I am laughing the whole video (at you btw), the guy wants the game to feed him noobs so badly that he decided to run an experiment if can control an output of matchmaking, your ego hurts THAT badly? Like, you complaining that the game gives you a sweaty players… my guy have you seen your own gameplay? You are a sweatlord in a flesh! You belong with the sweatlords like yourself! Besides from what I see your K/D is clearly inflated, you are able to get 2.0+ K/D only on those who are significantly weaker than you, you ain’t able to maintain your K/D among your equals (that’s probably the primary reason for why you want SBMM to be removed).
Nothing you said is true. You lack the requisite knowledge and critical thinking skills to even partake in this conversation. I'm sorry you're having a hard time comprehending reality
@ That’s it? That’s your argument? Not impressive, I have more than enough knowledge on the matter, heard plenty of theories from the community, from mid game hit box tweaking to SBD, none of these theories aside from SBMM turned to be anything more than a conspiracy theories, I do have plenty of critical thinking skills and ability to comprehend a reality when I say that people like you are full of shit, in the video you complained about packet bursts but you gladly stayed in the lobby with poor connection in which you has been destroying your opponents despite poor connection on your end, so yes it is not about connection, skill variety and all of the other talking points people like you make, all you want is to stomp a noobs and you will gladly neglect poor connection as long as you able to do that as this video shows.
I think im the only person alive that loves sbmm. It really has the potential to make u a god at the game. I tend to push thru the crazy tough matches. It reminds me of vanguard. That game was plagued with cheaters and it didn't bother me cuz i cld beat them still.
Sbmm just has ZERO place in public lobbies. And it's not really skill based. It's teetering back and fourth from win to lose to try and give you the right level of challenge, success and loss to keep you playing longer. Sbmm belongs in ranked only
@CaffreyPlays skill base matchmaking has been a part of video games since PlayStation 2. Fun fact Max Payne was the first game to have skill-based AI so basically the game would adjust itself based on your skill levels. So what they want is players to not quit the game because they can't do good that it's been a part of video games for generations like I'm tired of hearing people cry like you just suck.
@CaffreyPlays maybe i did. My whole point is that game manipulation has been involved in video games for a long time. To me, the complaints about sbmm are majorly overblown and it a bunch of not very good players, simply repeating what they hear the streamers and pros say. I also find it interesting that a bunch of the pros and streamers are being exposed as cheaters. To me the link is inexorable and backs up my original proclamation that sbmm isnt the actual issue, its the difficulty level and the different techniques the companies are employing to make the game less predictable.
In comparison to my previous 2-4 hour play sessions getting off in 20 minutes Is quite a drastically change. If a full week isn't long enough then the system is chalked and there's nothing we can do
I would not mind SBMM/EOMM if their servers weren't complete dogshit. That being said, MWIII is a much better experience with better everything literally and SBMM is not turned on. Played SnD the other night during a weekday and I have almost.a 2,78 k/d but somehow matched with a dude with 0,78 k/d lol obviously he got demolished
Sbmm doesn't bother me as much as eomm. The fact that someone is going to give me games that are designed for a specific outcome so I play longer bothers me
You should do the test again with 2 new accounts for 30 days.
@ Oh really that will be interesting. Well I believe it will scale based on how much you spend and just one purchase won’t make much difference. Although if it’s a new account it might make more. Reason I say this is because I’ve worked for a company who provided a service and sold products. Every customer had their own ‘Value’ rating similar to how we have a MMR rating. The value rating was based on money spent per year, service length etc. people with higher ‘Value’ rating would get a better experience/service and more benefits. There must be loads of companies now doing this and I can’t imagine that activism on wouldn’t if it’s proven to make more money.
I can tell instantly when it’s bs I back out or turn it off 😂 I’m not gonna be cannon fodder
@mariosmith8456 the game is absolutely broken
Ya it's really dumb for the game to try and force things like this.
So that miracle player on the enemy team, was most likely someones player data that the game plopped in there to save the other team and because they weren't really a person playing the scoreboard can't even tell that someone was there
I been hearing and experienced something like this too
Yeah me too . This game is so rigged
Sure bud. Their bot AI ain't that good I promise you. No game has AI anywhere near that yet.
It's hard to confirm if it's true but man it's scary that it's very likely at this point
Stop being foolish
Im convinced there is just bots in the game designed to give you a specific experience literally every game changes midmatch and real people dont play like that
It definitely feels that way sometimes and it would not surprise me at all
There definitely is bots in this game!!
I just experienced this. This weak, i kept thinking i must be crazy or something😂
Yup. I really don't like the fact that I can tell I'm being conned
Ya I requested it. Nothing back yet
I had to stop playing I suck and get no protection straight league lobbies
Ya it's an interesting theory. I was just curious to see if I could bend the match making by changing my behavior. I plan on doing a video where I spend money in the shop and see what happens
@CaffreyPlays If you do succeed. I can't wait to watch it. I'll follow it everyday. Thanks for the video. It was fun to watch.
It’s not just about engagement. It’s to promote buying things in the store. If you don’t spend money, you won’t get rewarded highly
Ya I have a video planned for testing what happens after I buy a store bundle
I only play about 3 times a week because that's all i have time for and i would consider myself an average player and i always get the sweatiest lobbies, so it puts me off spending my valuable time just to get shit on
But activision says their data proves that it makes people want to play more? How can that be!? (Sarcasm btw)
It's really punishing solo. If you get a few people to play with the match making issues start to dissappear
The fact that it has come to this, is insane
Ya I feel it...
"Half the enemy team left for some reason."
Proceeds to leave every game where he's losing and wonders why he keeps being put in matches in progress.
I'm not sure which game you're talking about but one of they games they were winning. It's possible it was just a 3 stack that all backed out together
After the amount of time we put into it, Cold War will forever hold a spot in my heart. After your last video showing that you still got a match fairly quickly, I think I might just stick with it.
MW3 was decent. Not better than cold war but you might like it. Campaign is not good tho
Ya alot of us can just feel something weird
Always gonna Need 1-2 specific kills for a camo after the game. Coincidence? I dont think so...
Wait why is it that it "should be" a few average, few bad, and few good? Every game should have bad players who get completely destroyed by the good players?
Yes every lobby should have a mix. That's how "match making" worked previously. Grab 12 players and sort them into the most balanced teams possible.
A lobby in which the best player gets 80+ kills and the worst player barely 20 kills aint balanced.
This is an arena shooter nobody gives a fuck about balance back in my day there were kids with .3 kd ratios who would put a thousand hours into the game
@@adamdill1683 Back in your day, think im 13 or what?
On all other COD titles the matchmaking was way more balanced, i play COD since xb360 launched.
Shut up bro. This is the gaslighting Activision uses to make it seem like their sbmm and ebmm is a good thing. All a game needs is light sbmm and a ranked mode, that’s it
Delta Force is adding 6v6 in season 2 just hold on a little longer guys.
No shit? I'm gonna keep my eyes on that
Hopefully it's good
You mean, the game that installs chinese spyware on your pc?
So does call of duty with ricochet lol
@@aolson1111
I started leveling and went negative ten games in a row just fucking around. My average is a 1.7 and I feel like I’m in burger town USA, I genuinely believe they fill lobbies with bots
If you get low enough in the skill brackets they probably do tbh
When it comes to games with heavy eomm/sbmm, I fully support leaving if it feels purposely against you. As for reporting that person, if I fully believe they're cheating ill report. If they aren't then they're fine, but if enough people think they are then Activision can sort it out. Its their problem since they don't do their job and expect us to do it for them.
It's not like the anticheat works anyway haha.
I feel like this experiment should be done in the long term. I don't think only 7 days is enough time
Ya I was just really banking on the fact that it's so heavily influenced by recent performance
Not just logging off for the day
So basically you have to not play for awhile or die a lot to tank your skill rating
The SBMM is programmed on server, so no matter what you do with your device, it's not gonna change anything.
Ya I don't think any that is true. We're talking about the match making here. So all of this occurs before the map even starts loading
seriously so true you get insta melted and than watch the killcam and the dude is just chillin taking his time
right? makes no sense
@ dumping half a mag in someone just to have them turn around and melt you is so annoying. lowkey put this game down
@@allstonn Idk how the core mechanics of the game just don't work

Man, this isn't just you
And you don't deserve this heat. Keep doing what you're doing, don't let my one comment get in the way of what you wanna do with your career.
This is a commentary on youtube videos as a whole
ive grown tired of this editing style, the small sound effects, the clicking/typing sounds when putting up captions on screen, the smooth transitions of pictures on screen, or the tearing paper sfx when new frames are on screen
Its starting to get under my skin. time and time again, I click on an interesting video, with an interesting title, that appears to be informative and entertaining, and Im met with this... SunnyV2 style of editing. I used to LOVE youtube essays, until every single one of them became filled with this style of editing. it was fine when it was only one or two channels doing it, but now its every video I watch, every video filled with dings and click-clacks to "sound appealing" and/or shoot serotonin into my brain
Im tired of it.
I've been trying to come up with ways to create longer more raw/unedited videos. I don't think this one is too in your face tho
Guy sniping was definitely cheating. He'd look to the direction you're running then when you change direction he'd track you the other way and quick scope which probably also means he has aim bot as well.
Pretty sure he's walling bare minimum
I play well into 2 am. It's literally a different game after midnight feels like I'm playing for money
All these things happen to me too and exactly as you describe. I thought I was imagining it all.
No the game is gaslighting us all. Part of the reason why I made this video (besides the experiment) was to get some feedback from other people. I assume alot of us 1kd and up are dealing with the same thing
idt ping is a good metric to even consider here. i highly doubt that the game would give you a worse connection just bc you are having good games. it doesn't even make sense from a flow state perspective since ping is independent of game difficulty. a playing session with consistent high ping games will always be more likely to be shorter than one with low ping games, regardless of how good the player does within those games. from a developer's pov, it makes the most sense to always try to match with a server that physically near you then place you into the appropriate elo within the list of games that the server is hosting. if you are having a bad connection, chances are that it's simply the game's horrible netcode, load balancing, and maybe some connection flaws on your end (like maybe ur on wifi and u get bad bufferbloat, etc etc)
you must be new to this 😂
Ping is not a high priority in call of duty match making and every independent test confirms this. We just had new data come out from someone playing in new york matching to texas servers.
@@CaffreyPlays bro texas is only 1 timezone away from ny. im from ny and connecting to dallas would only be like 60-70ms of ping. that is not enough to cause lag spikes. it's not optimal competitively but avg players should not feel a significant difference in playing experience in a public match. it would take connecting to all the way to oregon (3 whole timezones away from ny) just for me to get over 100ms of ping and feel some lag. do you honestly think that between oregon and ny, there isn't enough sweaty players to make a lobby they could put me in if i was having good games? why would a game developer purposefully put u in a high ping game if that itself will cause u to log off even if youre doing well?
it makes sense to put u in a sweaty lobby as rage playing is a thing and you'll always feel like u could just lock in and overcome the challenge thus keeping u in flow state as you said. but consistent high ping? that's out of your control and many people would just log off. so again, from a developer's perspective, there is zero upside to putting u in high ping games so why they do that?
citing independent tests from cod redditors who know nothing about networking is not an answer to that very simple question. on top of that, ur implying that the worst players in cod will only ever get low ping games. does that also rationally make sense? cmon man
They dont want us in game chat like the old days because their bots would be even more blantantly obvious
Ai chat moderation is insane too
it is strange that your ping spikes as you get close to certain players i dont know enough about this kinda stuff but i call it "Ping Aura" and it always seems to be the enemy's hard carry
Ohhhhh that's an interesting Idea. Didn't even notice that. I'll have to do some testing.

There's also "Sound Equalization" on PC that many PC players Abuse

So I'm not alone with these feelings (mid game feeling changes, weird engagements etc).
Definitely not. I've heard multiple people say they've had similar experiences
im pretty certain if they openly remove all those matchmaking algorythms and fix the servers theyll end up better than now
Agreed
I play a match and get 40 kills and 3 deaths, I know the next match is going to put me into MLG sweatfests competing in a 1million dollar tourney
After one good game might as well hang it up for the day 😄
So you rage because the game doesn't put you against players significantly worse than yourself? BTW, if you get 40 kills and 3 deaths, you are a sweat.
I wish you could do that in ranked i got banned about 4 times for backing out from incompetent teammates and they don’t allow you to back out once they find a match for you which is kind of dumb
No you definitely should not be allowed to back out in ranked. You can't leave your teammates high and dry
This has worked since at least mw2019 I got sick of it and just started backing out of shit games and lobbies ended up way easier than random matchmaking in say xdefiant with no sbmm
Ehh kind of. 2019 is where the system got implemented. But it's evolved quite a bit over the last 5 years
I don't really know what the fix is here, if people that are really good are just wiping the floor with average and below average players, those players are going to back out immediately and quit playing the game.
What's the red and white salutations gun you play with?
Uhhhh I think it's a free skin for the SAUG
For me I just keep backing out and out and out until they give me a okay match and I’ll have 4 victory in a row.
Ya until you start playing well and it punishes you again 😄
@ basically 😂 and then I just stop playing it for a few days
So I was trying to give it data in short that said: bad lobbies = less playtime
Good lobbies = more playtime
This is what I've been doing the whole time but clearly they just don't want me to play.
Until you spend money
I find when I take a day off my next time on i get easier lobbies opposed to playing every day.
Ya the game is trying to hook you back in!
i think that on consoles you would get better results the pc community always has been sweaty , i believe they track our data since the original warzone , movement speed how frequent your button mashing is, accuracy and the gun you use maybe even more than that . i hopped on mw22 and dominated for 2 days straight before meeting the frieza force with movement and auto fire shotguns , decided to crouch walk around the map for 2 matches and i got the normal lobbies again all nin all i think two boxing with a 0.4 kd side account is the way to go from now on i would never buy bo6 twice at launch or even once because its souless woke money grab but to each his own . good idea with the video subbed
More than half the players in my games are console players
The best way to avoid heavy sbmm and cheaters is to turn off crossplay especially for console players
I wonder if it works for me on PC
Season 2 we might get an overhaul that’ll turn things around but that’s a big if!!
i did this on release of bo6. every game i get bad teammates, bad connection, top250 lobbys, hacker, no fun, i just leaved the game. you will get nicer lobbys tho but only for like 2-4 games. so i uninstall. best choice life is great
Ya I haven't played the game outside of making this video
@@CaffreyPlays you a wise man my brother
It sounds like what I do every single day.
Haha play 2 games and close it
Im a prestige 2 and any time i get a lobby with players over a 4 or 5 prestige i just leave the lobby. Ive started getting lobbys with lvl. 55 players alot more
I think im about to touch prestige 7 😬
@CaffreyPlays if I had been prestigeing all the way I'd be max prestige but I only wanted to get the 2 weapon skins for the c9 and model L
Listen I like your profile picture but that is absolutely not how it works at all. It might feel that way to you but that is not what is happening
Notice how that suppressed saug beats a lmg at 50 meters and he says they know where he is. cod.
What are you implying?
I spent a month trying to see what the lowest possible skill division is in rank for someone who just grinds. I get 1 maybe 2 kills a game, no obj, and 20-30 deaths per game. Im silver 1 and getting 90-150 sr per win still. If this doesnt prove that ranked is just a show of how much you grind then idk what is.
That's insane. Wonder if it keeps up the higher you get
I agree that the sniper on rewind was tracking you and that the matchmaking it's consistently rough. But Nuketown being a good map? It's not. It's nothing more than a nostalgic crutch for BO fanboys that's almost as chaotic as shipment on MW. It's neither interesting or fun anymore even when you're dominating. Nuketown has to go.
I am unapologetically a treyarch fan boy. Nuketown is far better than that trashy slop shipment
@@MegaDarklee sure. Okay. I see. But... To be fair. The map is also ass
So did Ixepps disconnect, or continue to get kills late into the match, or are you being misleading?
I'm saying that person filled into the game mid match.
I'm curious what our AI overlords would tell us about the collected info
They're not optimizing my engagement!
Yo this make a lot of sense. No wonder after 2 rounds of me dominating this one trash talker group, the game just put me in a new lobby with completely new people.
Ya they basically said "ok it's your turn to lose now"
Cold war was a godsend compared to this ass of a game.
Cold war is better by A MILE
Sbmm is only a problem for people that sit on the game literally all day everyday n want to try to stomp noobs 💯
Why is everything you say wrong? Thanks for continuing to watch and engage with the content.
I play this on MnK. Its pretty fun and feels good. Past that, BO6 offers nothing to scratch your fair, competitive itch. Youre always left...wanting. Truely the Chinese take-out of gaming
Idk call of duty on MnK feels like a chore half the time haha
@CaffreyPlays I've never liked controller. And I've found using side buttons on the mouse for slide and dive makes tracking while moving pretty nice
Sometimes I'll hold the trigger and hold forward and do better than actually playing 😂 something is seriously creepy about the game
Hahhaha. Ya im glad some of us can tell that there's something going.
When i play solo and try hard i get thrown in lobbies with crim and iri people in pubs. Hate it!
Ya I think playing with a group of friends makes the experience way better
The feeling of always having to play perfectly as a gaming CC is the worst :/ sorry u feel that way m8
@@CaffreyPlayseverything you said about MM’ing and stuff was based sorry for the confusion 😅
@@GothGfGG oh gotcha. Appreciate the kind words. MnK is rough when I'm tired
They should only match up squads with squads first
I believe they try to to some extent
Blame Truth, will have a field day with this!
Haha he's been crushing cod this year
i think playing the game 7 days in the row could be enough for the system to not do any changes lol
Ya you can always just not play it. But then it gives you one easy first game on and you're right back into it. I was trying to see if I could make it give me better games consistently
At this point dont reward their manipulation and play something else.
Ya I haven't been playing it but I wanted to try this experiment
Solid video
Thanks brotha!
All games do this now. That's why xdefiant was a breath of fresh air
Lmao, it's on the Steam top 10 most played games, despite being available on gamepass.
So that’s y my matches went to high ping all of a sudden?
What do you mean?
6:05 Got filled with a bot for sure
Isn't it crazy we even have to wonder?
Bro im 1:55 in and im like fuck yea 😅
The enemies feeling like bullet sponges?
Day 3 happens to me all the time man
Where half the lobby leaves?
@ yea. Then one or 2 people come and just start smacking
It's even harder to play with mouse and key against these controller players. We fighting aim assist and sbmm at same time lmao 😂
Preaching
I went 0-65 to MLG sweats
Bro... are you ok
@ Yeah, was just watching CaseOh. Had my controller in one hand just smashing button so I don’t get kicked for inactivity.
I was popping off with the pp-919 and the bext match was sweats with diamond pp-919s i csnt nake this shit up😭 i just thought it was funny and left the match
That's all we can do at this point
you can get off but it’s still opened in the background counting you as concurrent player 😂 activision is a joke
Doesn't happen for me on battlenet. It's a steam issue
@ pc xbox game pass too
2:46 I play solo all the time bro just saying shit I barley get into matches that have started this video is literally yu spit balling
Except I'm actually a good player so your experience and mine are dramatically different
SWEATY GAMES? What’s that?
Sarcasm?
Ive said this since mw2 something wrong kill cams dont add up you do too good its like the game says bring him back down.. feel like bots or you playing a shadow of yourself your aim gets bad half a milli sec killed enemies spawn left right front back lol i be like im off i really laugh and say this game a joke and just grind camos
I've said if the servers where better and we had health bars like cold war that would go along way to helping us figure out what's going on
I am laughing the whole video (at you btw), the guy wants the game to feed him noobs so badly that he decided to run an experiment if can control an output of matchmaking, your ego hurts THAT badly?
Not impressive, I have more than enough knowledge on the matter, heard plenty of theories from the community, from mid game hit box tweaking to SBD, none of these theories aside from SBMM turned to be anything more than a conspiracy theories, I do have plenty of critical thinking skills and ability to comprehend a reality when I say that people like you are full of shit, in the video you complained about packet bursts but you gladly stayed in the lobby with poor connection in which you has been destroying your opponents despite poor connection on your end, so yes it is not about connection, skill variety and all of the other talking points people like you make, all you want is to stomp a noobs and you will gladly neglect poor connection as long as you able to do that as this video shows.
was it a joke that its all about KD ?
KD is the only thing that matters.
@CaffreyPlays thats maybe the problem why the cod community is dogshit
I don’t play anything but zombies at this point
The campaign is pretty solid if you haven't touched it yet
@@theysayisagorilla you have a misunderstanding of the conversation then
@CaffreyPlays maybe i did.
Its funny that call of duty is the cod killer we waiting for with this shit trying to fool us play like this
Only cod can kill cod. And it just might have
Just don't play this trash. Most matches are completely unplayable due to the servers being dogshit anyway.
Hard to argue with that
Heres what happened.
You wasted 7 days of your time, then made a video about it and wasted our time
Try breathing through your nose
They said the same about SBMM on MW3 but i ended with 1.3 KD and 2 WL, playing domination only. Why didn't i lose like you guys xD
A 1.3 kd isn't great
@CaffreyPlays we talking about WL.
I didn’t like this test. Way too short and completed way too many games you should’ve just rage quit on.
In comparison to my previous 2-4 hour play sessions getting off in 20 minutes Is quite a drastically change. If a full week isn't long enough then the system is chalked and there's nothing we can do
@ oh you also used the same account you’ve been using and not a new account? Yea this would never change your lobbies.
I have a video coming up where I buy something from the store and see if my lobbies get easier
