Trapping Crawfish To Feed Our 2 Pet Bass!!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- As tropical storm Cindy flooded the Southeast, it provided a perfect scenario to trap crawfish for our two pet bass, Bonnie and Clyde. There were miles of flooded ditches so we decided to put out our crawfish trap to catch some bait for our feeding videos. We also take you along for a ride to our local bait shop to get some crickets for Sheriff the bluegill.

Happy Tank Tuesday Folks! Let us know what you would like to see in next Tuesday's video or ask your questions about our pets and aquarium below. We go over the top
comments at the end of every video.
BamaBass what part of Alabama are you, I'm autauga county
What would you do if red and red jr spawned together?
Your grass seems to be growing pretty well!
BamaBass have you guys tried feeding them small Shads before?
tony loeuth shads are probably too big
Thanks for the great channel. This brings back bittersweet memories. My grandfather was an avid fisherman and was bedridden after a stroke. He lost both legs and the use of one of his arms and couldn't speak. I caught a tiny 3" bass in a cast net, and we set up a fish tank just slightly smaller than yours so that my grandfather could watch it. We fed it minnows every few days, and it lived to be over 3 years old. The tank size will stunt your fishes' growth. Ours topped out just over two pounds before it died.
Thanks for bringing back that memory. I miss those days with my grandfather and how excited he was to watch his bass grow.
AHHAHAH the beginning absolutely killed me 😂😂😂
Catch_Em_All_Fishing love your videos catch em all

Hello BamaBass ppl...well you are doing all most everything what we the fans would like to see, just keep on feeding them with their favorite food and we (for sure me) will enjoy looking at your video's as always...good job...:D
Feeding time is surprisingly beautiful with all the sparkly scales floating around 😄
SHUNNARAH!!!!
Lol can't go nowhere without seeing those bilboards!
Hey guys first I would like to say I am absolutely loving Tank Tuesday I could watch it all day!!! So speaking of that have you thought about live streaming the tank 24/7? I'm a fisherman so I could watch and learn from just watching their habitat all day. Thanks again and keep up the great work!!!
Fishbone1436 They should just live stream it just a couple days out of the week
Fishbone1436 That would actually be pretty cool
Fishbone1436 Just a word of advice, i wouldn't study a fishes behaviors in a tank, and expect the same in the wild. Cya:)
That was freaking awesome when Red Jr. took the fish. he's awesome. love your tank guys. I give you HUGE props because I have a 20 gal and lets just say I should clean it more than I do now lol
Love how when sheriff gets something on top water, he makes a popping sound.
Nice video, as always. It was cool to see the underwater view of how the fish attack, especially the crickets on top - wham, bam, gone. Hmm, a cricket lure for top-water bass? With 3 fish, you're getting some very competitive feeding actions - neat.
I love that intro clip. It gives you a great look at how explosive bass can be. If they're hungry, there's not much they won't do
Great job. Prior to feeding my fish live food. Minnows, goldfish or guppies I feed the feeder fish on growth or color enhancement blends. Your fish will blossom with stubble colors. Breeding and mood shifts in the fishes colors will be greatly increased. Not harmfully and works every time. I have Koi Angles. They love weekly treats of feeder guppies stuffed with T-Min Color food. The feeders are stuffed when placed in the Angles tank.
Terry Forbes Great tip
Your videos are so interesting.. even more from an anglers point of view. It's very educational watching your bass and bluegill sizing up a big crawfish, trying to find an angle to attack and reacting even to a subtle movement of the claws. Or how it triggers them to attack a minnow when it suddenly stops moving, even just for a second!.. I'll keep watching and learning, thank you for sharing these videos!
SIR EVER SINCE i FOUND THIS CHANNEL. YOU ARE CONSTINTLY GETTING HAMMERED FROM STORMS......I PRAY FOR YOU BOTH....GOD LOVES YOU..YOU ARE A STRONG FAMILY!!
So awesome!!! could watch this all day
It's interesting to watch the fish looking out from the tank and watching you.
Clyde absolutely hammered that one. Epic.
Great video! Really liked that southern background music as you were driving to set the traps.
Awe back before the backyard pond! The feels!
Beautiful tank. You have renewed my passion for fishkeeping
I love the sound of a fishing attacking topwater !!!! reminds me of fly-fishing !
Cool! After watching I bought 2 traps.. read some reviews and got 2 vinyl dipped torpedo minnow traps. Thanks for the tip!
Even in a tank, bamabass is still the topwater king😂😂
The tank glitters with magical sparkles during minnow feedings, lol.
Thanks to you and yours, enjoying all the videos
Crickets are just about all I ever used when I went fishing, you could catch a lot of different species with them.
Great series guys... I've really enjoyed watching this since before you guys set up the big tank.
didn think I could be this interested in fish tank, awesome to watch
you n Liz are a great couple ur videos are very entertaining, ty guys. and yea get a bigger tank😁!
always a pleasure to watch tank tuesday
good job guys
i think these videos are awesome hope you guys keep doing them and keep dropping facts about bass like they grow a pound a year and water temps very interesting stuff
like the vid y'all I'm from Alabama as well me and my 7 year old so just got back from pond fishing today he cought two 3lb bass two days in a roll now lol very happy for him. I'm trying my best to teach the little things of fishing I'm not great fisher but give it all I got lol. like the vids man y'all keep up good work
I'm glad you take good care of your fish
Frequent large volume water changes will help with all of your fish growing to large size. Fish produce pheromones that when they become too dense in the water, they will stunt the fish. This is a defense mechanism, to prevent fish from outgrowing their food source. Consider when you've fished closed farm ponds, and only caught massive amounts of dinky blue gill. As opposed to large, open water with fresh water inflow and outflow. In addition, ammonia nitrate buildup from fish wastes, while good for your plants is detrimental to the fish in large amounts. Just some thoughts from an old aquarium hobbyist on growing out your fish. Hope you find it helpful.
I like the pop! When they go up and grab a cricket
tank is coming along lovely..so glad u went natural ;)
I'm a eastern shore man, Foley to be exact.
Recently subscribed but I'm sure glad I did.
Absolutely beautiful tank!
I always look forward to Tuesday's now
Bamba Bass You should start a series called topic Thursday and answer questions
Dat intro was dope, Yo!
*Edit - You can't roll video in Alabama without getting an Alexander Shunnarah billboard in the frame!
Your not wrong lol
Those Alexander shunnarah signs are all over in Alabama lol. Can't tell you how many I saw when I traveled through there
I absolutely adore you you are the best UA-cam or when it comes to fishing
love the fish. if i was there i would have a pool net use it like a garden tool rake that grass in the water and you will have about 2 or 300 baby fish or fry
hahaha That intro was AWESOME! Now I gotta finish the video.
I love that fish tank
love y'alls videos man. good times and great information.
Sheriff is a trophy bluegill!! Keep feeding him like that and he'll be bigger than Bonnie!
Hahaha, that crawfish was like "back off buddy, don't make me pinch ya" haha
Great vids! You drove past some of my favorite places to eat in this video!lol Felix's is great!
Good stuff! I love sheriff.
If you shoot a bluegill
Video keep me posted. I’d love to drive out and join y’all. Great videos
Best start of a video so far... Lol awesome.
+BamaBass would you think of getting a northern pike but you would have to keep it in a different tank because it will eat the blue gill and bass or if that doesn't work you should get a large mouth bass
Is it just me or is anyone else SUPER jealous of this guys fish tank:(
The beginning scared me when they said OHHHHHHHHh UH UH UHHH OHHH xDD
best day of the week
Love tank Tuesday !!!!!!! Keep it up :)
Have you tried to weigh the bass yet ? You should get a weight monthly ! And length to keep track of growth
new too your channel love the fish love watching them to.. an the names are cute too. {but} the sheriff show have a deputy an a great name too. like barnie five, lol..
I love your tank!! Very inspirational!
The tank itself looks great
That intro was great!!
I LOVE YALLS VIDEOS SO MUCH!!!
eds and felix's is some good eating, good job guys
Alexander Shunnarah sign haha. That's how you know you're in Alabama
CAHIGG lol they're every mile in Alabama
And Georgia
do these animals make you guys feel happy seeing them swim and eat?. love the videos
When I'm in the middle of eating but a bama bass notification pops up
Beautiful tank
Have you thought of getting water lettuce? They have nice roots that will hang down and bring life to the top of the tank
I just found this channel and I love the fish lol sheriff is my favorite lol probably didn't spell that right.
absolutely amazing! love tank tuesdays!!! ..mayb feed them really quick minnows that are harder to catch? ✌🔥🔥🔥
Love the tank Tuesday
Freshwater pawns are a great source of protein and they help grow big bass ! Check out lake jalisco in Mexico !
you should do a little 50 gallon tank for the crawfishs and you can put some other species of crayfish like red and blue
Hey man that bluegill..thats a bad bluegill boy!!
I love your channel and pet fish Bonnie is my favorite
Lol you had to throw the Alexander Shunnarah billboard in there 😂 you can't escape them in Alabama
Seth H you from Alabama too! I am what part?
Yeah, do a video seeing how they react to lures, take off your trebles and you could pull the line with your hand.
Wow she hold the crikets with no hesitation clap claap
When I touch crikets I always shout or hesitate
The beginning was so awesome!! lmao what a blow up
When I see the crawfish raise their claws at Bonnie, Clyde, and Sheriff, all I can think of are the crabs from Finding Nemo, going Heeeyyy! Heeyy!
today's my birthday and I couldn't ask for anything else but tank Tuesday
Pull the claws off the larger craws, and the bass will eat them.
Justin Bingham that's what I was going to comment
After watching this video I may have to start topwater fishing for bluegill! haha
If they spawned where would you put all the fry. Would you keep them in the 55 gal tank or let them go.
Where do y'all go bass fishing at I literally have no spots since we moved here!
11:36
Bass: imma eat you
Crawfish: What?
Bass: Nothing
question for next weeks tank tuesday, if bonnie and cylde do spawn do you think it would be on normal spawning season or do you think the tanks environment could makeit happen whenever?
I think if they could drop the water temp for a few months then brought it back up then it would work mint
Not sure if this has been answered, but if it hasn't could you put a small catfish like a bullhead with Bonnie and Clyde or would that be too crowded?
Do you think if you put a smaller bluegill in the tank do you thing the bigger blue will protect it or bonny or clyde eat it?
Not the person your looking for. They will all try to eat it
Another great video bamabass :)
Your plants look great in this video. Guess the c02 has been doing its job! edit: and the pellets
Do you think it's possible to house Perch and Pikes in these conditions, or do you think I should build a pond instead?
Crayfish seem to be quite formidable.
What will you do if a bass has babies take them and let them go or keep them in or let them grow and then let them go
Leto Ledo the bass would eat em
Jake D if the bass would eat there babies the bass population would very down
Like guppies and aquarium fish, the fry will head to safety in nooks and plants that parents can't reach them. A lot of fish eat their young, always have, so their young have learned to hide. Otherwise like you said, they wouldn't be around.
WizzleThump ohh ok if they get a like 5 inches big will the parents still try to eat them
Leto Ledo they would still try to eat them until they get about 8-12 inches
What would you do with Bonnie and clyde's fry after they get big will you keep them or would you release them into the lake you fish at
Have you tried putting your thumb in the tank and seeing if the bass will go for it?
Will the habits of your bass in the tank, relate real world fishing? Weather pattern vs how hungry etc
you said for the bass you keep the water 78 to 80 is that also comfortable for the bluegill to?
how do you know the gender of the bass, and how much does sheriff weigh?
NWestern Hook The females have another hole near the the butthole for eggs. Males only have one.
BoRn Icey should of known didn't think much about the anatomy 😂
I've been waiting for one of these!
