Miss these day's and player's make's me feel old. i'm glad I grew up on these player's and MJ...etc...but there's talented in teh NBA at the moment also...just miss those day's...
This was the best dunk contest ever. Vince was out of this world, but tracy and francis killed too! To bad vince was in the same contest as them. The Dunk contest is dead now.
After seeing that second dunk I was like HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!! And then i see that Kenny gave him a 9. My reaction was HUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Wow kenny!
I don't think people realize how great this dunk contest was. Steve Franchise and T-Mac were really good. I mean REALLY GOOD! Vince dunks were so next level he made us forget how REALLY GOOD T-Mac and Franchise was.
This was the last time a NBA dunk contest had my in awe. This was the best dunk contest I've ever seen. This dunk contest made it difficult for all of the future dunk contest.
Lisset Caicedo of course I saw it! What the hell does that have to do with anything? Just like Vcarter15range said, this dunk contest is what others are compared to. Vince Carter set the bar high!
he did, im a raps fan since vc was drafted, 1999, after the first yr together, mcgrady sneakily wanted to leave because of his ego, he didnt want to play in the shadow of vc, thats why we hate him for that, i still like him as a player but it psses me off to this day, then when vc left with him fakin injuries and bs, its w/e though, greatest raptor.
I always thought Vince should made 360 dunk as his last dunk...360 dunk in a way that he is going straight to the rim and than 360 (like in games he would done it).
People forget Vince got drafted and was already playing at a high level and was a superstar right away Kobe on the other hand struggled to play and even crack the rotation if Vince had Kobe's work ethic he would of been better he had more talent Kobe was in a weak dunk contest 2 years before he wanted nothing to do with getting in the 2000 dunk contest he knew he would lose
kobe last dunk attempt in the 96 dunk contest was a self bounce pass between the legs dunk but missed it and they only got one attempt. then he actually did it in manila in '98
funny thing is...this cursed him the same way as it did Nique back in the day....you say VC and ppl only think dunks.....i bet a few know the dude has scored close to 24k points lol
being such a high flyer his knees gave out early in his career thats why he never was a consistant superstar on the nets and magic. He's the best in and out of game dunker of all time though no question!
looooooooooooool at Stern, like he can tell the difference between a 360 windmill and a freethrow !!! What an actor my god lool, and he says the most generic stuff "did he just do that" lol, no detail !
thats crazy how they both was on the same team and they traded em coulda won a ring easily shoulda gave it time....if they knew toronto woulda kept them but then again i think mcgrady wanted to leave
The Stack 360 is extra flavor-full, I dunno what the hell people are talkin about ! And the two handed free throw line was pretty spectacular and original, but sure is the weakest on the night.
The greatest dunker ever! No question
I disagree, I for one have performed much better dunks in my NBA 2K
@@Lemonickous bruh LMAO
This will always be a classic!!! Thank you Vince Carter
Never get old until this day's. Goosebumps!
#15 Vinsanity forever! My GOAT
One of my favorite NBA memories ever. Thank you Vince Carter!
Thank you VINCE CARTER for those memories.
Kenny how could you give vince a 9? Unreal.
Steve Francis: "It was tough for Jerry... The 360 was weak anyways."
I remember watching this dunk contest live. The best contest I watched live!
Me 2 I watched it Live Greatest Ever
Whenever there's a list of NBA dunks, Carter, for me, should, always and be on top! Number one dunker of all time!!
Miss these day's and player's make's me feel old. i'm glad I grew up on these player's and MJ...etc...but there's talented in teh NBA at the moment also...just miss those day's...
R.I.P Darryl Dawkins
Chocolate Thunder
Still remember this like yesterday
Love you VC, come back to TO
This was the best dunk contest ever. Vince was out of this world, but tracy and francis killed too! To bad vince was in the same contest as them. The Dunk contest is dead now.
Duc Luc the 2015 was probably the best one too
Facts. T Mac and Franchise each would have won any other year. But Vince just became SuperMan that night
without doubt the best dunker of all time
I have this dunk contest on VHS!! LOL
It was a very smart move by VC to never do a dunk contest again. Can’t top perfection.
I really do wish I could for the rest of my life, fly like this incredible man
Still the best that ever did it
man i miss early 2000's nba
That Warrior Yell at the end of that first Dunk was so awesome
Everything was perfect about this contest.Carter's dunks,the player's reactions,the commentating,the crowd,the judge's reactions.
Fav nba player and best dunker true baller
He did that
and also all the participants were good. francis was one of my favourite dunkers.
thanks you vince!best best dunk ever
Best dunk contest ever because of Vince. I don’t ever think I had heard an arena explode like it did off VC’s first dunk
After seeing that second dunk I was like HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!! And then i see that Kenny gave him a 9. My reaction was HUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Wow kenny!
I miss my childhood era frfr
9 Jerry Stackhouse fans were not impressed.
Lol Steve Francis
The 360 was weak anyway. Ha hahahahahaha
Steves a sav loool
THE GOAT DUNKER #AirCanada
vince tdot misses you
that must have been some dunk to get shaq excited like a little kid
Anyone else came back here to refresh their minds after that shitty dunk contest tonight?
Kenny was more hyped than any one.
The best
DOPE...One Love Fam...
keep smoking that good stuff buddy. He was the team leader in scoring for the nets and magic
Hail VC! GOAT Dunker!
Greatest slam dunk contest in NBA history. Vince stole the show that night.
Rip Criag Sager.....u are missed
I don't think people realize how great this dunk contest was. Steve Franchise and T-Mac were really good. I mean REALLY GOOD! Vince dunks were so next level he made us forget how REALLY GOOD T-Mac and Franchise was.
Exactly!
3:01 never saw that... tim duncan was hyped af!!😱😱
LOL Stevie Franchise throwing shade at Stack
This was the last time a NBA dunk contest had my in awe. This was the best dunk contest I've ever seen. This dunk contest made it difficult for all of the future dunk contest.
Stfu like you didn't see Jason Richardson or Zach Lavine..
even if you have seen those one's . this one still will always be what other's are compared to
Lisset Caicedo of course I saw it! What the hell does that have to do with anything? Just like Vcarter15range said, this dunk contest is what others are compared to. Vince Carter set the bar high!
David Stern: "All I remember is that he did something." truer words cannot be spoken more eloquently.
Came back here after Mat McClung dunking, it's back!
2000 and 2017 the best dunk contest ever.
he did, im a raps fan since vc was drafted, 1999, after the first yr together, mcgrady sneakily wanted to leave because of his ego, he didnt want to play in the shadow of vc, thats why we hate him for that, i still like him as a player but it psses me off to this day, then when vc left with him fakin injuries and bs, its w/e though, greatest raptor.
@lblackneon right! a reverse 360 with full extension and looks amazingly beautiful... hes like michael jackson in dunking! lol
Lebron was aready nba ready in 9th grade
lmao kevin garnett's reaction is the best. looks like he had a temporary stoke haha
It would’ve been sick to see a 360 from the free throw line!
best year for all nba slam dunk contests
Chills!
Just what a way to kick off the Millenium for the NBA!
Goat
It's sad with Vince's talent he'll only be remembered for wining a dunk contest in 2000 and not winning any titles. Pure talent, no heart.
6:25 VC seen it b4 when kobe did it in the philippines in 1998 lol, but still he is the greatest dunker ever
Vince Carter won the first ever Dunk No-Contest
VC best Dunker in NBA history
1000th like
I always thought Vince should made 360 dunk as his last dunk...360 dunk in a way that he is going straight to the rim and than 360 (like in games he would done it).
vince carter
Why didn't they show Steve Francis' dunks? He's was sick too.
BEST. DUNKER. EVER.
People forget Vince got drafted and was already playing at a high level and was a superstar right away Kobe on the other hand struggled to play and even crack the rotation if Vince had Kobe's work ethic he would of been better he had more talent Kobe was in a weak dunk contest 2 years before he wanted nothing to do with getting in the 2000 dunk contest he knew he would lose
kobe last dunk attempt in the 96 dunk contest was a self bounce pass between the legs dunk but missed it and they only got one attempt. then he actually did it in manila in '98
Kenny is a dunk connoisseur.
@antiunis Off two feet, yes. Off one, it was Orlando Woolridge somewhere in the 80s.
funny thing is...this cursed him the same way as it did Nique back in the day....you say VC and ppl only think dunks.....i bet a few know the dude has scored close to 24k points lol
Harri v'Jah I'm also sure ppl forget he has like 3100 three pointers until now
Rip stern
I WISH I WAS IN THE DUNK CONTEST
wonder if shaq record that..can someone tweet shaq to show us the footage
He lost the cam.
the year 2000 is related to vince carter dunks in my head
Vince is the Chuck Norris of dunking.....
being such a high flyer his knees gave out early in his career thats why he never was a consistant superstar on the nets and magic. He's the best in and out of game dunker of all time though no question!
i cant quite remember was he the first one to do between the legs ?
he redeem himself by giving vince 10 for his last dunk
it was so bad for Jerry that they basically missed taping his 1st dunk because all the cameras were still focused on VC and his dunk
He shoulda done an alley-oop to a windmill for his last dunk, same one he did in-game.
two-handed from the foul line (???) even if he did over-step a bit still incredible
looooooooooooool at Stern, like he can tell the difference between a 360 windmill and a freethrow !!! What an actor my god lool, and he says the most generic stuff "did he just do that" lol, no detail !
hey tyler its morgan
thats crazy how they both was on the same team and they traded em coulda won a ring easily shoulda gave it time....if they knew toronto woulda kept them but then again i think mcgrady wanted to leave
All he needed was a 42 his last dunk to win. Less elevation with two hands
@lblackneon agreed, nobody does a full extension on the arm, nobody!
MJ #23 is still the first of nba best dunkers, but vince carter with his high jump & power dunks makes him the best after MJ's era.
Its OVERRRRR......ITS OVERRR!!!!
It was off one leg though and a between the legs off one leg is way easier then off two
The Stack 360 is extra flavor-full, I dunno what the hell people are talkin about !
And the two handed free throw line was pretty spectacular and original, but sure is the weakest on the night.
Um I think he meant that Kenny should have gave him a 10
ITS OVEERRRRRRR LADIES & GENTLEMAN!!!!!!!! LETS GO HOMEEEEE
and you
lebron envies Vince Carter. "nobody expected him to do what he did in the dunk contest" ? Wtf, hed got %82 of the votes on poll lol
roger federer......ljubo
@Reall22 Kobe's a ballhog.
kenny smith still looks the same, even for a black man, that's still scary
