      You will notice that dunkers started to overwhelmingly do things like wearing costumes after this like Dwight Howard and his superman costume. It's because Vince Carter destroyed the dunk contest in 2000. They cannot beat this, so they had to find other ways to entertain the crowd.

    • @ltdan8671
      @ltdan8671 6 років тому +118

      He did in fact rotate roughly 360 degrees in the air. He dunked at 180. But for argumentative purpose, say he dunked at 180 but continued to rotate a full 900 degrees. It would be a little misleading in that case to call it merely a 180 dunk. It's just not so technical of a definition when it comes to these things. I still call it a 360 windmill. It just depends how you define it. I'm not sure there's a rule book on this.

    The 360 windmill is still the most beautiful dunk I've seen. It's not just the elevation or difficulty, it's his perfect motion. Vince Carter dunked with style.
    The most impressive dunk would be the one Carter did over a center of the opponent team during an actual game.

    All his dunks will never get old. This literally was the best dunk contest I’ve ever seen. I literally screamed and jumped off my couch every dunk. This was the height of the slam dunk contest. After this, it all went down hill

    Vince Carter 360 windmill dunk is still the greatest windmill dunk in history. Everybody tried to copy that or pay homage I guess, but nobody could ever really do the dunk exactly how Vince did it. One of a kind dunk… powerful and with grace and on the first attempt! Amazing.

    • @rickgrewal2232
      @rickgrewal2232 2 роки тому +2

      Its the power he slams it with, and full extension of the arm on the windmill. No one else can do that, all the copy cats bend their arm at the elbow so it never looks as good as this dunk
