    • @ltdan8671
      @ltdan8671 7 років тому +120

      He did in fact rotate roughly 360 degrees in the air. He dunked at 180. But for argumentative purpose, say he dunked at 180 but continued to rotate a full 900 degrees. It would be a little misleading in that case to call it merely a 180 dunk. It's just not so technical of a definition when it comes to these things. I still call it a 360 windmill. It just depends how you define it. I'm not sure there's a rule book on this.

      +Emmanuel Abijo. Vince can do more things in the air, and his dunks are a bit more powerful, but MJ is the most finesse, artistic, hang time dunker of all time. They are both equally good in terms of in-game dunks (even though their dunks are very different) and slam Dunk competition (even though MJ did 3 of them). No doubt they are the two greatest dunkers of all time. Also wanna give a shout out to Dominique and Julius Erving.

    What made Vince Carter dunks different? First off, he had the fluidity, the gracefulness, the overall motion, the way he spins when doing a 360° dunk. Next was the power - the sound of the rim when his wrist makes contact with it was unmistakable - he slams that ball down so hard. Third was the arm extension - a windmill dunk only works & looks the best when the arm is fully extended. You can't bend your arm, not even the slightest. And last was his athleticism - because he was so athletic, he was able to turn bad passes into works of art. He could reach for the ball & dunk it down whichever direction it was going to.
    Best dunker EVER, hands down.

    I remembered this year very well. The WORST year of my life. I was so financially strapped that I didn’t have television. I heard about this legendary dunk from all of my co workers and was wanting to see it so bad! Thank god those years are behind me.

    I remember watching this live back in 2000. When he threw down the first dunk, it felt like a bolt of electricity went threw my body. I was 19 and watching with a group of friends. I don't think we've ever been more hyped over anything. Half man, half amazing!

    My favorite moment is when Kenny said "timeout timeout can I take a timeout" that's how you know you're doing something People never seen before
