You are making a very special playthrough. It is a joy to see someone appreciating one of my all-time favorite RPGs.

The drake scales are the first components towards obtaining some of the best armor sets in the game. Before going further, I'd advise taking down the high dragon/"Andraste" and getting its scale along with getting 30 sovereigns/gold to ensure you get sets with greater bonuses. I would also suggest before starting Orzammar to take on the DLC quests (especially the stone prisoner) to find more gear that will help in the long run in the next story area and beyond

Yes, the first dragon scales! Blacksmith in Denerim! Now, it´s not more your team, now it is your new family. Alistair? Holy shit, ha. I love your LP. Don´t forget to get back to fight the dragon and taking the other stuff. LG

    Hey Liera,
I mentioned in a comment on a different video that u were close to unlocking the Reaver talent for warriors, the knowledge Kolgrim was referring to is that talent, unfortunately u have to go through with destroying the ashes and the subsequent aftermath. It unfortunately takes a lot longer then the Blood Mage talent as it's more involved then a simple conversation and reload. Like the Blood Mage talent however once unlocked it is permanently unlocked.
U picked a great group of companions to take with u through the Gauntlet. They are the only ones who truly appreciate being within the presence of the Urn. Though I will admit the other companions have absolutely hilarious reactions. Worth the look if u'd like to check it out.
Great video as always, see u in the next one.

so much to talk about. In my last playthrough I did the rogue challenge. Where you have to recruit Zevran as fast as possible. You have to play a rogue yourself and complete the game with Zevran, Leliana and your Mabari. The caverns were really hard and I had to skip the High Dragon.
It wouldn't be a Rpg without fighting your own party.😂
Too bad you failed shartans question, he is historically a very interesting character. Andraste freed the slaves, which were mostly elves. So he was commander of the elves on her side. After the prophets death, the chantry removed everything about him from the liturgy backstabbing all the elves.
After you are done, i advise you to check out what the guardian has to say about each companion. (Please only after you are done with the full game)

    >2:00 Kolgrim: "She is so much more!"
Well, I can at least give that to him, he's not completely wrong. She's a "High"-Dragon and believe me being "High" in this case makes all the difference -- and I'm not talking about smoking weird stuff :D
    >3:48
I don't think either. And Buddhists would probably be inclined to disagree too :)
    >5:00
Yep, with Leliana and Alistair that makes three votes against Father Kolgrim's Epic Solution. What you choose to do during this quest is a pivotal moment for some of your companions and I'm not talking about just loosing a few approval points. That's something you might actually want to test later, off screen... for fun... or not...
    >5:10
That keen mind of yours; love it. Yep, you caught the contradiction in his own beliefs. The True Andraste or... the True Andraste? You got to choose man. There can be only one! You cannot each have yours! Although I guess that would simplify things if one could duplicate her. :D
    >6:20
Let me clarify that because the guy is really vague here. If you do what he asks, you can unlock a specialization for warriors, "Reaver", that cannot be obtained otherwise. Considering what you may lose though, it's not a choice to be taken lightly.
    >6:45
Oh, decided against Kolgrim's plan? But he seemed such a very rational, logical, practical and not at all crazy guy :D
    >10:20
    You'd like that, wouldn't you? I would too :)
    >10:52
I was mainly referring to Sten anyway. Since Lothering the guy has literally nothing on him so that's quite a few free slots there. :D But yes, until you're back to camp, that's not happening.
    >14:43
Actually you have nothing to fear... as long as you don't wake her up using Kolgrim's horn. But hey, who knows, maybe she just wants to speak to you too? Maybe you should try (he says with an evil grin). haha
    >16:18
Too bad. Despite the martial name, The Gauntlet is exactly your kind of challenge. More brain than brawn required. Now if you're looking for more brawn than brain, and possibly an early grave, then the High-Dragon is the way to go. Alistair was not joking when he said that it wasn't a joke. :D
    >22:09
Not really. Sure Cuddlebear doesn't do magic, but in his case that means that his resistance to magic is lessened. This part is valid for both mage and non-mage characters.
    >26:19
You just looted the only blade in the game specifically designed for Arcane Warriors. So don't feel too sorry. :)
The only problem is in the description. It doesn't act like a staff (you and I both know that some blades in some of the DS games may act like a staff but it's not the case in Dragon Age). What they mean here is just that unlike other bladed weapons the bonuses on this blade are more akin to the ones commonly found on staves.
    >34:20
You'll have your full dragon egg one day, fresh even, don't you worry. I can guarantee you that. I can't guarantee you'll make an omelet with it, nor that you'll have your own little baby dragon though. :D
    >35:56
I was sure you were going to kick her just out of curiosity. How could you not? But the hidden chicken got the best of you? :) You didn't even want to see how fast a High-Dragon can annihilate a middle level party? Not fun! :D
There is something to be said for this fight though. This dragon is the second toughest boss in the game. So it's perfect training because if you can't beat her, how will you fare against the toughest boss (which, unlike this one, won't be optional)?
But I agree, you possibly want to be higher level before going there. Right now you would just do a whole lot of dying. The deathblow, if you manage to get one, is absolutely awesome though!
You also want to have many free slots in your inventory because if you manage to defeat her the rewards are... numerous.
    >37:19
For most items the limit is 99 but for some items, there is a lower limit to the number you can stack. If you go beyond this limit, a second stack is created. For precious stones for example, it's 10 max per stack (10 garnets, 10 fluorspars, etc.). Somehow I just didn't realize that the limit for fancy vases was that low. Is it possible that I never had that many fancy vases in my inventory at the same time? Maybe... Or maybe it's a glitch.
    >43:39
Yeah, but what do you know. That's what it is to be in love. You're always harder on yourself than you are on the other. Except he would say the same lines here if he wasn't in love so, bad example :)
    >46:56
That happens to me too. That's the common burden of non native English speakers :)
    >48:40
You're neither a guest nor a trespasser... in your home. This guy is very literal.
    >52:32
Some of those answers are hilarious. Anyone willing to answer "woman" here definitely deserves an ash wraith in the face :D
    >54:30
The game won't glitch on you. When you gain an item via a conversation it is always added to your inventory whether it is full or not. It's just practical.
    >55:57
Such a great spin recovery there! Almost perfect! I wonder what you were going to say about your doppelganger before that last second save? Not that you're not allowed to say anything you want about yourself! It's your prerogative!:D
    >1:00:14
Cuddlebear is always considered a summoned entity and as such cannot participate in that kind of activities. If he was a regular member of the party, you could use it. The puzzle was designed for four anyway so that's all you need.
    >1:03:40
More like trusting your brain, really :) And everyone uses a paper and pencil for that one. It's convenient keeping your little drawing anyway for when you replay the game because the arrangement is always the same...
    >1:06:56
You don't have the mods so just "semi"-naked. Although you don't have vanilla either or the underwear would look far crappier! :D
Dog is already naked. He'll be fine :D
    >1:12:14
Starting to think rationally? A) far too soon. B) that's not what the heart does... usually :)
Anyway I can say with certainty that he means what he said. A small part of what he said just before is possibly the one motivating your doubts, not even necessarily consciously.
This coming on by Alistair here is too soon anyway. I blame that on his approval being accidentally artificially boosted at the beginning of the game (damn prank gifts) so that you went from virtually zero to in love in less than two episodes. So some things that should have happened on a longer run happened way faster. And you wondered why there was fire everywhere? :D
But don't overthink it. Carpe diem! Que sera sera and all that. That's kind of my own motto these days :)
It was a nice and productive episode. The sadistic part of me would have loved a dragon fight (take the drakes and multiply the difficulty by 20, doesn't that sound like fun?) but I understand... I can wait, possibly... :D
Next week in Ferelden... Ooh, so many choices. Trying to bring an Arl back to life, kicking down the doors of Orzammar and have a taste of Dwarven politics, tying up loose ends in the Brecilian Forest... Or maybe a day off sunbathing on the beaches of lake Calenhad? It seems you even have your swimsuit (looked like a swimsuit to me anyway; or close enough) :D

Haha, I wouldn't go that far.
      > This coming on by Alistair here is too soon anyway.
Yeah... I definitely got overly excited about free stuff :D If I could remember which ones are the free ones, I'd sell them back to the guy.

Any gift with a selling value of 0? I don't think you have any left though. But I may be mistaken. I don't have all your inventory list in my head. Too much stuff in there :)
      >if this was souls, I'd totally take him on
I know! :) I've seen you going after way worse than this flying lizard haha I'm sure that if we squint a little and squeeze very hard we can stuff a "souls" in the title so you can feel at home. :D
I've always thought of this dragon as "her" though... because of all the eggs. But maybe reproduction works differently with dragons. I'm not a.... what do they call it? Oh yes... Draconologist XD

If you side with Kolgrim, he will give you the "Reaver" specialisation, one of the best for warriors.
If you don't mind save scumming, you can load a previous save, side with him and after you get the specialisation, load back your main save.
Once unlocked, specialisations are open for all of your future playtroughs.

honestly reaver is not good. the heal from corpses is nice but the 2 sustained abilities are not good enough for what you lose (taking damage and huge penalty to health regeneration)

People keep way too many gifts clogging up their inventory (prior to the Soldier's Peak chest), afraid of giving the wrong one to a companion. I see it every time. lol

    • @LieraPlays
      @LieraPlays  26 днів тому

Apparently there's also a risk of breaking companion quests if their approval gets too high too quickly. I kinda wish gifts didn't count as an inventory item similar to quest items...

    • @Whippets
      @Whippets 26 днів тому

@@LieraPlays Absolutely, gifts should be separate from actual inventory, but I guess I'm just saying that people stress over the idea that they might give a gift to an unintended recipient and stress so much over it that the inventory literally gets filled up with them. I say just think on it a bit and start giving them out every time you're in camp, there are plenty of gifts for everyone that getting their approval up isn't terribly difficult --- not to mention the "cheat" of giving Bodan's feastday gifts, so it's easy to max everyone out.
