Well, now I'm completely confused too. I thought there was only the one girl and now there are two? So what? He already has one... girlfriend (wife?) but it's important for him to go find another more "princess-y"? Why? And his current partner is okay with that? I hope he gave her a damn good reason.
    >3:49
Nutty is one word for it. Call the squirrels emergency to the rescue! When the going gets nut, the nuts have to go (or something like that)... And what's better at clearing nuts than a company of squirrels? :D
OK look, as I'm watching this video it's 5:30 am so it's far too early for my brain to fully process what is happening on the screen. Oh and... I have some coffee! That should help me a bit. Problem is that I don't even remember preparing it. That's how well I'm awake! XD
    >37:17
Possibly because you did things before they were supposed to happen? I don't know. But the story sure got odd. Whether it's because of something they did or you did remains to be seen :)
    >37:28
It's not only drinking, it's "sad" drinking. The worst kind there is just after the "violent" one. This guy has definitively issues. I wouldn't like to be in his brain right now.
Unless he's drinking cod liver oil. That would make me sad and depressed too. Last time I drank that stuff, I was 12 and my parents thought it was a neat idea. Ah... parents! :D
Now if he's drinking cod liver oil while thinking about his lost love, that could explain his face...
Oh and the guy standing behind him, having fun, looks suspiciously like him. Unless they go to the same "uniformed" school. My guess is, sad drinking thinking about happier times... We've all been there at some point... Raise the hand those who didn't!
There is a thematic behind all that though. In all the pictures, there's a drink or a bottle involved. Coincidence? Sure, we don't know if it's alcohol, per se, I mean, the glass of wine in the second puzzle could just really be grape juice (which is actually wine, just not fermented lol) and the one in the last puzzle could indeed be cod liver oil. We need more info! :D

Meeting of the minds! Hey, I might be waking up... finally :)
    >39:09
Let me guess, another bottle... Or worse, the princess using a bottle in an inappropriate way (not judging, to each their own). Or it might be... No, better to wait for the other pieces after all, before I'm saying something really embarrassing! :D
One thing I'm fairly certain of though it's that this video took much more time to record than its final running time. I want details! An evening? A full day? :D
    >50:49
Yeah, but think about it. If you could rewind time in real life too, you could go back and solve this puzzle in a minute, dazzling everyone! Oh, well, you're amazing enough as it is; you don't need to show off. :)
    >55:49
What makes you think they do? I certainly wouldn't be able to easily solve those but my kind of puzzle is generally more logical. I mean, there's no magically teleporting key involved. Plus as I already stated, I suck at platforming :D
    >1:01:18
Welcome to the club. My sinuses have been acting up all of yesterday. I sympathize.
    >1:03:44
Oh look. There's no bottle in this one after all (maybe under the bed?). I also doubt that it's a girl's room so... what the hell is happening? The guy in the bed (himself?) is obviously freaking out. There's something creepy going on in the window (but after all the drinking maybe that's just delirium tremens)... So what? Did he rewind time to come rescue himself from impeding doom?
The last world will reveal it all, or confuse us even more. Hard to say at that point...
    >1:04:38
So, he has (had?) a special someone in his life but he's wearing a ring as a sign of devotion to a... princess which was not the woman he is (was?) with? That doesn't make a lot of sense at least none that one wouldn't find super creepy. Or is it just me?
    >1:05:21
Looks like your standard married man who put his wedding ring in his pocket in the hope to score during an evening out. That's disturbing. And in that case why does a princess even figure in there? That's starting to resemble to a simple case of cheating. Maybe with a side of guilty conscience?
Those guys (the ones behind Braid) are pro at designing puzzles and gameplay, no question, but delivering a coherent story is not really their strong suit it seems. I guess they have a story in mind but the execution is not really there.
    >1:05:35
Gotta love the big "Y". It could just be the controller button or it could also be the existential question... "Why?".
    >1:10:08
For once that you actually need a bunny, you don't get to have one. Such a shame. :)
    >1:13:15
So the bunny wasn't an actual bunny but a marker to place the bubble :D
Well, I was hoping for the final piece today. But I wouldn't want your brain to turn into goo. :)
So next time we may get something of the story to make it more... understandable. Looking for lore is nice to have the background of the universe in which a story takes place. Being forced to look for lore to even understand a story, it's generally because the storytelling failed at some point. A story should always support itself without the need for external references. Those should always be a bonus.
But that's just my opinion. Maybe once we get the final pieces it will be crystal clear. So far, I'm not there...
Always fun to see you confronting the puzzles though! :D

      > A story should always support itself without the need for external references.
Maybe it'll make sense in the end? Perhaps I should do a read through all those pedestals at once when all puzzles are done.
      > What makes you think they do?
Someone surely does. I don't think it's the devs that write out all of the guides that exist for every game.

      >Perhaps I should do a read through all those pedestals at once when all puzzles are done.
That's an idea. Maybe we're just lacking the global context because the story seems to be delivered in inverted puzzle pieces... Certainly something to try.
      >I don't think it's the devs that write out all of the guides that exist for every game.
No, but the guys writing those guides rarely discuss how much time they spent just figuring the solutions out. Some guides are also the result of a concerted effort by dozens of people (so added brain power). That says more about being dedicated to a game rather than being extremely good at it on the first go.
