it's amazing to me, after all that NYC has been through, people will not move out of the way for a firetruck
but honestly, most of these people are not even from NYC, you can literally tell that they are tourists.
A TRAGEDY IN MANHATTAN
I feel disgusted that Pedestrians feel they have the right to hurry and cross in front of traffic that are desperately trying to move out of the FD's way and yet those dumb peds don't even have any important places to go unlike emergency responders. Total waste of space. >:(
Desperately trying to move? What video was you watching....every time i watch a video of new York all the drivers are fucking arrogant pricks.....NOT MOVING OUT THE WAY.
999emergencyvehicles you mad bro
Siren1000T relax lol
i was gonna comment the same
They kept walking because they're most likely foreigners no fucking common sense at ALL. if those cab drivers flooring there car to pass the fire truck didn't have a brain the size of a wallnut they would all just stop even though there is lanes open just stop!? That's the last thing that'll slow you down is a fire truck going to a call you dumb fuckers really wish fire truck driver were more aggressive like they use to be pushing and hitting cars that's blocking the way or trying to get close to go around you fuck them I would rip there shit apart
Some of the most patient GTA NCPs I've ever seen
New York is too crowded
Come to Tokyo.
@@kobetiu8628 Tokyo seems crazy too lol
Not all party’s of the city are he’s in a popular area it’s an amazing state
Shut up Stoopid
The whole feckin world is...
LOL this is every single day in NYC
There's always emergencies every single day.
Oops! That was pretty wild, great catches! Nice Ambulance, Fire Trucks and NYPD car!
NYPD were only trying to help by letting that Ambo through, they wouldn't have been aware of FDNY turning out until they'd blocked the traffic, at least the Engine got away first.
Not to mention, he was already clearing the intersection before the ladder started pulling out of the station. So, technically, this was not the fault of the NYPD. Feckin' taxis were the biggest threat to this one, followed by the millions of brainless selfie nimrods that just ignore the everyday life occurring around them. I bet 3/4 of the population of New York these days hears a firetruck, yet, fails to move out of the way of it, but still has the audacity and the nerve to sit there and say "There goes New York's Bravest, doing what they do best." Yea, doing their best as in dodging people who don't pay attention to get to a call.
and people in nyc still would walk and drivers wont move lmao the trucks should just go straight into them
Yea as if there's anywhere to go I side of the cars... just nice
I agree, cars *must always* give way, but.... maybe..... they were a little hesitant because they could get a fine or into a crash (not everyone stops for fire truck) for passing a red light, (on min 1:20, 1:25 you can se the pedestrian had “green” light going in front of fire truck which is the same way that traffic in NYC) and sadly there are too many red light cameras in NYC and not everyone has enough time to contest a ticket in court, especially in NYC.
Have a nice day everyone! 👍
Woah all at the same location... thats nuts lol
"Never Misses A Performance"..........time to snag this saying from Engine 54 lmao
I just retired from NYC transit after 25 years. We would use the buses to block intersections for the fire department to get through. Now the idiot's who run the city think congestion pricing is going to work
Just another step toward eliminating anybody who doesn't make seven figures
Marc Aliventi Aliventi and bill debosio will be re-elected again like always
@@anthonymolina7416 that's one of the reasons I left NYC brother. I couldn't take the bulls#it any longer
I'm thinking of becoming an MTA Bus driver, I'm only 16 btw, and, what are the requirements needed to become one other than a driver's license?
@@andya5068 you have to be 21years old.
You will need a CDL class b permit. No police record
( Felony arrest)
New York City will never change. I've been a native New-Yorker since 1979. If you really LOVE New York, this should not come as a surprise to anyone. New York City is a fast city. People are always in a rush, from pedestrians to cars, buses, and trucks... even first-responders vehicles. If you were raised here, to eventually moving out of the city.. you would eventually miss all the hustle and bustle. This city NEVER sleeps.
In other words, New Yorkers are assholes.
We knew that already.
People are also “entitled” in some way, not in a bad way, but don’t always think too much about others. For example, the family crossing the road probably didn’t notice they were blocking the FDNY until they were halfway across the crosswalk, which is why they ran.
Really nice catch.
Without knowing where they were going, it would be hard to know who has priority. NYPD tried to do the right thing, but the FDNY must not have liked it. :D
+Francesc2000 Thanks and yes, indeed :D
EASY TO ANSWER.
Priority ONE: LIFE
Priority TWO: PROPERTY
Priority THREE: NON PROPERTY
Technically both have same priority but ambulance moves faster than fire truck so usually goes first unless active fire.
Note to self: *Never have an emergency or a heart attack in New York City*
Even if this is a 5 years old uploaded video, doesn't mean it is sooo cool! Great catch, my friend!
Holy hell! That's midtown madness alright! 😵 Great video!
TGG - Global Emergency Responses hehe yeah ... Thank you :o)
captured911 You're welcome...the video came up on my feed so I had to comment again lol 😂👍🏼
TGG - Global Emergency Responses nice ... linked your channel on my recommended channel list already ;o)
captured911 Oh thanks! I appreciate it :)
Ladder's using the air horn, but all I kept hearing was "MOVE! MOVE! MOVE! MOOOOOOOOOOOVE! MOVE! MOVE!"
Wow... the DMV standards must be quite low in NYC for all of these people to have licenses
Kilo Byte Yep he has an arm chair to be comfy in that back seat. Lol
Honestly it was the pedestrians being stupid, trying to cross preventing the cars from getting out of the way
Anyone that can't speak English automatically gets a license
rule 1. dont get hurt in NYC
youll be dead from a papercut before the medics get to you
Cool video. Nice footage. I'm a New Yorker and so I am familiar with the horns blowing from all 3 professionals in this video.
0:34 there is a Brazilian store in the oposit of the fire station, you can see on bus windows... Brasil loves you guys!!!
Seems to me that having a demand control system from the firehouse would be really useful here - traffic coming from the fire truck's left should have a continuous green with all other crossings being red until trucks are out.
Wow! Eines deiner besten Aufnahmen.
Auf jeden Fall eine meiner Liebsten :O und Lautesten 🤓
That intersection turned into a clusterfuck REALLY quick
C tiver um brasileiro ai, olha no reflexo do ônibus 0:34 você ver o desenho do brasil em uma loja Rs
At least you had a good catch of the Crown Vic taxi. There’s not much left as of 2020.
Man the ladder's horns
In Germany many fire dpts have access to the nearby traffic lights so that they can stop the traffic and clear the junction/exit. Would be a good idea for ny with its "I don't give a fuck" people
Damn what a great video! Amazing catches!
+TGG - Global Emergency Responses thx
Good one! Nice combo! :D
So hectic =0 Great catch! =D
good to live in ny lots of emergency vehicles to see and hear sirens and watch for a long time
That air horn works magic! I can’t be mad at the cop for blocking that intersection though, look at the situation, one engine rolls by, if I was in the cops shoes, and I didn’t see any others coming, I would’ve blocked the intersection too. You can even see the cop hurrily waving the motorist that was behind him to hurry up so the cop can get out of the way for the rest of the fire company.
In Germany: People are being charged with a 1000€ fine for not forming the rescue lane properly.
Meanwhile in NYC:
Meanwhile in NYC: “Hey, free lane! Let’s take it!”
He blocked off the road for the ambulance why else would he do it?
He obviously hates firetrucks and wants to screw them over
Public in that town be like:-
Oooo f***........is there an great emergency? Is city under attack? OMG😱
I love that 90% of traffic blocking first responders are taxi's...
0:33 "when you don't go to Brazil, Brazil goes to you"
Haha! Driving in midtown isnt for the faint of heart in the first place. The streets are crowded, traffic is heavy and your stuck most of the time. Its hard to yield when youre surrounded by noone being able to move! Insane!
Why does NY even have so many cabs
I agree, cars *must always* give way to fire trucks, but.... maybe..... they were a little hesitant because they could get a fine or into a crash (not everyone stops for fire truck) for passing a red light, (on min 1:20, 1:25 you can se the pedestrian had “green” light going in front of fire truck which is the same way that traffic in NYC) and sadly there are too many red light cameras in NYC and not everyone has enough time to contest a ticket in court, especially in NYC.
Have a nice day everyone! 👍
Nice catch!
Thankyou for sharing 👍
Pedestrians crossing are like, huh, firetrucks, I wonder what those are for?
Amazing Video And Awesome Catch Buddy
Sam Sheppard thx ;)
You have to reduce the number of car lanes and parking lots. Build (protected) bike and bus lanes instead and emergency vehicles can use it. It's easy!
I'm from rural USA but I see more and more of benefits of using european style emergency vehicles in the cities. Ambulances espcially. Vanbulnaces can get through traffic much easier and give far better ride quality on bumpy city streets. Smaller pumpers could maneuver through heavy traffic 10x better. Just saying. Large trucks are better and are mostly practical out in the country where we have wide backroads with constant traffic flow and very few intersections, and need to carry all that water, etc.
Awesome video!
Thank you ;o)
I’m seeing so many angry comments. This happens on the daily basis. Us New Yorkers are immune to this sort of madness. And yes we do cross the street middle of traffic otherwise you won’t get anywhere
Is that pride of midtown station if so they always have traffic issues
I think they need to hit that horn a few more times- not sure everyone heard it...
Clearly they did not hear it.
Perhaps a few more blasts....
@@frstrspndr1478 the way was blocked by an nypd car
During 9/11 in the same city years ago first responders were treated as hero’s. 2 decades later in the exact same city pedestrians don’t even stop or make eye contact with emergency vehicles. The level of disrespect to first responders and the level of ignorance towards the emergency they are responding to for another person is astounding.
Look, there are the fire trucks moving out, sounds important. Lets just walk slowly before them....
midtown is the most chaotic place i ever been to in my life
if they are in so much of a hurry they would give them motorbikes instead of big ass trucks. the rush is classic drama 101
The pedestrians just taking their time. What in hell
Technically cars are not supposed to stop in front of the driveway of the station. So technically the NYPD unit only blocked part of the way it woulda only been the first few cars that made it to the stop bar. But yeah mucked up situation pretty cool shot.
Just another day at the office.
great catch
+DanTheMan thanks :o)
Everybody is ignoring sirens 😭
It was a normal day at the office.
Just an idea that we have in Europe, blue lights on all emergency vehicles, that don't blend in with all the other red and white lights.
this is why Manhattan firefighters are the highest paid in the USA including police and ambulance
Damn. Talk about total chaos.
Nice Work
captured911
1:29 Why would you still cross instead of waiting for the taxis and the fdny to pass
Oh brother....
Nothing new i work all over Manhattan and this is a constant thing much respect for the firefighters though they move through traffic like you wouldn't believe..
PD did not know FD was coming out. He was blocking for the med unit.
Midtown Madness is E-1/L-24. This firehouse is the “Pride of Midtown”
Why do they just slow down and not move out of the way?? What kind of logic???
Not turn or speed up its go 5 mph in front of them not doing anything!?
I agree, cars *must always* give way to fire trucks, but.... maybe..... they were a little hesitant because they could get a fine or into a crash (not everyone stops for fire truck) for passing a red light, (on min 1:20, 1:25 you can se the pedestrian had “green” light going in front of fire truck which is the same way that traffic in NYC) and sadly there are too many red light cameras in NYC and not everyone has enough time to contest a ticket in court, especially in NYC.
Have a nice day everyone! 👍
U guys obviously dont know what a midtown street looks like in the middle of day!...this aint hokeyville
Nonwhites
I wonder if there are more Chevy Impala police cars left in NYC in 2019.
Izzat Fauzi Mustafa most are gone
You authorize me post please
And on that day in New York all of Manhattan went deaf
Huh...what? 😂😂😂
I hope the goverment learned by now from it to impose not only serious fines for blockers but also have implemented tools like: extra red lights to stop traffic whe fire engines must exit busy roads
Playlist gespeichert!
@ 135 fire truck trying to pull out of station. You think the city would have markers on street in front of fire station 'DON'T BLOCK FIRE STATION'
1:35 Badass truck horn
Kennt man den Begriff Rettungsgasse nicht in New York ? ?
At least 4 knew how to use his horn!
No reflexo do vidro do ônibus mostra a bandeira do brazil.
かっけぇぇぇ。
they need heavy duty brush guards for emergency vehicles....
sweet shaggin wagon?? is that the engine captains????
Wait i have a question for y'all why did the other cars drive over the red light? they will need a ticket for doing that
Honestly - it looks like chaos. I think folks are doing the best they can here.
imagine if all of that was for a burnt bagel that tripped a fire alarm
Good job truck 4 👍🏼
awesome
Honestly they should have bus lanes that also act as right of way lanes for emergency vehicles. No other vehicles would be permitted in those lanes.
They should install sidewalk barriers that go up
He can air horn all he wants but there is people crossing the street so where are the cars suppose to go? Over top of pedestrians?
I agree! Time to save some people!!
Love it!!
thx
Not sure if it's mostly New Yorkers or tourists pedestrians, but don't they see a firetruck blaring its horn trying to get through traffic while cars can't move because people are still crossing the street. 🤦♀️
Fire stations outside in Big Clear Letters
KEEP CLEAR
I live in New York everone does that I mean everone
I am disappointed to see the guys in the back still gearing up.
Im sure they didnt mean to upset you
Sadly the NYPD doesn’t use Chevys or Crown Vic’s because the department is upgrading to the Ford Explorers.
And Smart Cars 😂😂😂
Mayor DeBlowsijob should really invest in some emergency lanes especially for midtown
they don't need to invest in emergency lanes they need to get rid of those bike lanes and those stupid islands that cause traffic especially when cars double Park I drive through New York City every day and that's the biggest problem
Where? there'a literally no space in Manhattam to do that.
+Jonathan Pabon What you mean with get rid of the islands?
Antonio C NYC does have fire lanes in Manhattan. But people drive through them everyday. It’s pointless
@@JohnSmith-vb7zx
Then maybe NYPD should take some resources and write tickets to encourage cars to stay out.
We need that in germany
the traffic is massiv ^^
I miss New York.
