PEACOCK BASS Fishing in Naples, Florida! I Caught So MANY! Multi Species Canal Fishing!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 сер 2022
- Join me fishing in DOWNTOWN Naples, Florida catching beautiful PEACOCK BASS! Summertime is here and with that is the arrival of daily storms. The rain floods the prairies and the water drains into the canals through drainage pipes. This leaves the PERFECT ambush point for all predator fish that lurk in the residential canals of South Florida! I caught so many I lost count!

My brother lives in naples and I plan to visit him next year. Can you suggest the best pound braid and floro leader?
Yes, 15lb braid and 15lb fluoro. Thank you for watching!
@@JerZeyinflfishingchannel anything I should look out for like alligators or other wildlife?
@@C.Rig21 there are def gators and water moccasins. The snakes don't bother you. Just watch where you step near freshwater.
Hey bro I live in Naples, fl. I was trying to find that spot. I was wondering if you would be able to let me know where you went to get all those peacock.
Hit me up on my Instagram. Thank you for watching!

What lure you use?
That day I was using live shiners for bait. If you want to lure fish use a small soft or hard plastic swim bait and retrieve quickly.
I'll be in Naples in 3 weeks
Very nice! Plan on fishing?
@@JerZeyinflfishingchannel oh yeah. Trying to catch my first ever Oscar and spotted sunfish. And doing a tarpon trip in the Everglades. Also doing some microfishing, looking for some shiners and killifish that I have my list
@brianshea8911 catch jewel cichlids. Awesome lil micro fish.
@@JerZeyinflfishingchannel yea I love catching jewel cichlids. I'm more interested in fishing that swampy area for some shiners and minnows
@@brianshea8911 I caught some micros this past weekend. I think they were mosquito fish. I didn't film it. Was going for jewel cichlids but had a hard time finding them.
Is that Collier Blvd?
It is not but a road that intersects lol thank you for watching!
Hey I live near Naples been trying to catch some peacock would be a pleasure for you to tell me

hey pal I'm down here in Naples on vacation this week. Do you mind telling me where exactly you were fishing for this excellent video? Is love to go there this week and give it a shot. Many thanks ...
It's off immokalee rd but every freshwater canals in Naples has peacocks. Thank you for watching!
@@JerZeyinflfishingchannel thanks so much but not being from around here I know Immokalee road is very long ... can you be a little more specific maybe near an intersection ... thanks again
@@josephsayegh7800 near Collier and immokalee is a good choice but like I said ANY canal and spit puddle has peas.
@@JerZeyinflfishingchannel great thanks again
@@JerZeyinflfishingchannel Nice vid but why do you title this as downtown Naples in caps? Immokolee road is nowhere near downtown Naples. 😅
That's what you get for Cannonballing all the fish you catch. Drop you from 3 story's see what you feel like. LOL
No choice unfortunately lol the bank is pretty high up. Thanks for watching.
Wish I had the chance to come down there. Looks like a lot of fun. Up here in Michigan on Lake St. Clair the biggest multi -species lake in the World.. from pan fish to world class Musky. Even 150+ lb Sturgeon, seasonal. Been watching the Peacock Bass in South America for years, now the last few years the Florida scene has picked up. Maybe in the next 5 to 10 years 15lbs will be common. What do you think?, Bill
@@fastfeh1 The species in Florida, Cichla ocellaris, tops out at about 15lbs. It is rare in countries like Guyana to find them that size. I think there is a good possibility for 8-10lbs in the future maybe. The state of Florida has tried to release Cichla temensis into the canal systems but they didn't make it. Temensis gets to just over 30lbs. Have you seen any episodes from my new series? Guyana: River Monsters and Legends of the Essequibo
Dont let the cat out the bag !!
Hahaha I won't! Thank you for watching!
Is this on Collier?
No immokalee. Thank you for watching!
@@JerZeyinflfishingchannel Thanks for the content!

I'm in the keys lol
@@JerZeyinflfishingchannel is there any place you can recommend to go fish in naples. I just moved to eastero and i want to fish but dont know were.
@@paxtonaguilar8 any of the canals in Naples has peacocks. Estero has them too. Message me on Instagram.
where is this spot bro i never caught snook b4
All the freshwater canals in Naples have the potential for snook, tarpon, peacock bass, largemouth bass, sunfish and a whole assortment of invasive cichlids. Try buying shiners and live lining them. Best chance for a snook in a canal.
@@JerZeyinflfishingchannel i have a canal in my street and i always catch bass and peacock bass but never caught snook or tarpon
@@JerZeyinflfishingchannel i dont have access to live bait what lures do i throw for snook and tarpon in my street canal
@@wrcs I have caught both snook and tarpon on small 3 inch soft plastic paddle tails. Use a weight EWG hook in freshwater to avoid snags and weeds. Retrieve moderate fast.
You ever try artificial for peas?
Great vid!
Yes I do. I have to say the last couple years has been very hard using artificial. I feel like the bass learned. They just chase the lure but don't attack. I catch them on lure very well when the water is the lowest.
@@gspotvaldez thank you for watching!
@@JerZeyinflfishingchannel We were slaying on jigs on Gator Alley. Going to try them around Naples next. I think you caught all the peas in naples though!! ahah
I lost count at 1,000 peacocks
😆😆😆

Drop the spot
In Naples 😂 but find a canal that has flowing dams or drain pipes. The peas will be there.
