i cant believe you didnt demonstrate the biggest con. emptying the water.
I don’t think he have to
Yea o this is air cond not the air cooler I dun think got Itu water tank
Welp, I called the toll free number on the booklet, they said it sounds like the sensor is not working. So, I went to Walmart and exchanged for another one. It worked as soon as I plugged it in. Guess sometimes someone messes up in the assembly line or the sensor was defective. But, it's still a good unit for one bedroom. 😊
Nice video did you know where can I find the little thing for the train water I lost my and is leaking water
How do u prevent breaking from thr window being open
Mine duct hose broken. is there anyone who can share info, 15cm or 13cm diameter for duct hose
does any of yours turn off by itself after running for a couple minutes and then goes back on for a short time only then goes off again?
On mine it has a button that says "mode" hold it down for 5 seconds and it should go into a continuous fan mode. I dont have this exact model but it's very similar
How are you suppose to keep birds and critters out of the exhaust pipe ? All other units, brands have a screening at the end outside, any suggestions ?
I have a screen on the window, so no bugs could get in.
Just use a pair of women's Rights or as they say in America women's pantyhose .
No bugs or rodent will get in... 👍
Oops damn auto correct.....
I ment Wombmens tights for women who have the ability to give birth to a child
9 out of 10 men have a Wombmen friend whom they can share there HapPenis with....
Now my spell check is
F ornicating

If ya put the window assembly on the in side frame of window ya can slide the screen in front
Got problem with the upper water drainage bottom pls was it removable
Did you ever figure it out?
It seems my window isn’t big enough to open the hole…I’m not sure what to do.. should I cut off the excess with a saw or something?
Yes just cut it with a saw, that's what I did, my windows only 14 and a half inches.
Im a little confused on the drain part? I got a little drain hose that doesn’t reach anywhere.
I also have a short drain hose. I just put a large bowl on the floor, for the water to drain into. I have to empty it from time to time, but it works.
@@Lisaloves6millyour comment helped me so much! I got mine used, so no drain hose or remote and I was wondering where the water was supposed to go
@@Ibbie88 If you don't have a hose, put the air conditioner up on a sturdy table and drain the water into a pale. Let gravity do the work. I would also cover the back with plastic so no water gets inside. There are some videos on You Tube showing how to do it this way.
How to drain
Can someone who has the booklet please share the number for the window kit. I bought a used 1 & it doesn't have a remote or the square piece that slides onto the back and it doesn't have the hose or window kit.
HELP!!!
& thank you
How are you supposed to use it then!
@@venusdemilo3378 it doesn't stop me from turning it on to get cold air. And I did manage to find parts by doing a lot of research...thanks for asking
@@sadriski Oh good. My pleasure!
By the way, why did you not put the clear tubing in the drain part in the back?
I'm wondering the same, do u have to put it in there?
@@tammy4life143 YES!!! If you don't, that's how you will ruin it. I accidently destroyed the first one because all I did was unscrew the bottom opening and tilt the water out of it, like once every three days. Yeahhh, that wasn't enough apparently to let the water out so the built up water destroyed it. You MUST put the tubing in THE TOP OPENING CAP. You untwist the top cap not the bottom one and put the tubing in and leave it. You MUST set a huge bowl (I use a plastic rectangle container size of a shoebox at the end) to catch the water because there will be CONSTANT water dripping out. You will have to empty that container every three hours. It's annoying but air conditioners are also Dehumidifiers so you are going to have constant water coming out. Mine is set about 2 and a half feet high on an old desk with the tubing pointed not into but rather towards the container so it will drip into it. It fills up pretty quickly so set a timer or cell phone to go off in three hours (sometimes it take 4 hours) and go empty it. The container I use hold about 12 cups. I live on the top floor of an apartment and wanted to rig the tubing out my bedroom window but the problem is that all that water would have dropped past another tenants window below me, so, I have to empty the container. I turn it off when I'm at work. It's on when I sleep even though I do have apartment air conditioner, it's just that when it's really hot out that the apt air conditioner doesn't work up to par (and they put in a new one!). I just like it really cold in my room so I only use it at night. And yep, it's annoying to get up 3-4 hours and and switch the container out with another one and go back to bed. When I get up for work I pour the containers out in tub. It's BEST to have a window unit and if I lived in a house I WOULD, it's just that the apartment owners don't allow window units.
What about if I just buy two long hoses attached to both drainage and feed them outside?
@@reilea9977What will happen if I drain the bottom tube?
@reilea9977 I have this experience. The solution is just have a bigger water container at the back like 6 liters and it is good for the entire night
Does it have a filter that needs to change out. Mine is not cooling anymore! Ive only had it for a year.
Having the same problem
The other comments mention draining the bottom
Can I leave the hose attached in order to drain the air conditioner continuously into a bucket since I am elderly and have a difficult time doubg this job .
You can connect a hose to the back but then you will also need a condensate pump to move water to your bucket if you place the AC on the floor.
@@TechWallsReviewdoes the top hose work with the cool function too, or just the dry function? The instructions only mention using the top drain for “dry mode” and moving the unit somewhere else to drain the bottom.
I have a smiliar model (10BTU or 5,800 ) the only problem I have with this AC is that it's loud. I do understand the the whole motor and condenser is inside but I hate that these companies advertise it as whisper quite. I woke up this morning and I think my ears hurt a little. Anyways I do like the white noise 🤣
I have the same one and my room doesn’t cool down it works better at night for some reason cools down room better at that time
@@Glopyrocause there is no sun you goof
I bought the same one 4 weeks ago. It just stopped working. Won't turn back on. Taking it back to Walmart to get money back.
Do you have to drain it even when using the air conditioner setting? Or just the humidifier setting?
Sure, all ACs need to be drained.
Yes I didn't realize it last year my carpet got wet smh 🤦 but it was just once it needed it here on east coast
How often i have to drain it?
I had a portable that evaporated the water, thought this was the same, every 15 to 20 min I have to drain, going to find a way to train it by hose out the window assembly
Will not switch to air conditioning mode only dehumidifier mode
we have vertical glass windows will it work the same way?
Yes, it works vertical windows as well, make sure to measure your window to see if it fits.
Yes I've just got another one they r so good!
Can we shift this if we want to shift to other Room or it is fixed at one Room once it's fixed ?
It is easy to move to other room.
Thank you
@@TechWallsReview Hello, In how many days do we have to drain out the water from the outlet hose pipe?
Or do we have to keep connect hose pipe all the time to drainage the water?
Thank U
@@kishorthapa5127 I drained it every 2-3 days. You can connect a hose pipe but there is no built-in pump.
And also last question but not the list 😄🙏
What is the power consumption?
Thank u
Can it cool or heat, or cooling only?
Cooling only
Mine keep sayin p1 wat do you do ?
You have to drain it from the bottom, I think
Do you HAVE to use the hose in the back ?
where else is the warm humid air it sucks in gonna go? Into the same room? Then it is just a fan
Is it cold?
Sure, as cold as my windows AC
@@TechWallsReview magkano bill mo?
How about electricity consuming?
150 Volts
Might you know how many watts? Thank you
Mine stopped cooling after 2 years
This video didn’t help me at all lol I needed help setting up the sliding window unit, but mine goes vertically. On the instruction, it tells you to bolt it in place, but it does not come with with any bolts.
"How to install a Midea Portable Air Condtioner" on UA-cam shows several different ways to install it, including vertically.
My only concern is the exhaust hose on the outside of the window. It’s just a wide open hole from the outside. Birds, bees, wasps or small critters can easily just go right into the hose 😂 When people disconnect it from the back of the unit, to drain the water, any animals, birds or bees nest can just go right into your home/area 🤣
Also Word of advice to those with maybe back problems or disabilities etc, you can set this unit on a 2ft table or stand & just put the included clear hose into the drain port & lead it into a bucket or empty gallon jug etc for easy drainage & emptying vs having to roll the whole unit to a drain location.
Does the heat function work? It's really cold. 🤣🤣🤣
No, this is not a heater.
Yes mine does very well at tht
Esa.manguera explusa aire caliente?,
Si
this ac is amazing better than others
Isn't it I got one last year and just got another one the 2 will do my whole 7 room house!!
@@eyes2c..519 you Dont have central AC?
But was it noisy?
Noise level at 4:15
It’s noisy in my opinion, but the price was right.
Sounds like a train and barely cools. My room is 150 sq ft. I guess I bought a dud
My 8000 btu doesn’t cool my 216 soft. Room cool
Got this thing years ago and It doesn't cool shit. It's just an oversized fan. I've never even had to empty it once.
maybe it was a dud
You might had it on dehumidifying setting
If there's no water draining
.means you're using fan mode not cool.
Cant someone just break in your house
Sure they can. I installed it on 2nd floor so the risk is lower.
Very noisely
Sorry i had a hard time with his accent.... but the video was ok
This is a piece of junk, condenser keeps turning off and on which means the cool air turn off & on
Junk, junk, junk
