There’s always a guy on UA-cam doing the lords work without any fanfare, and showing people how to do new things. They’re the real MVPs. Thanks for helping me set this up for my mother!
I can not thank you enough for posting this video. I am an older single woman renting and window AC units were banned. I bought this unit and felt completely overwhelmed. Your step-by-step video gave me the confidence to get it hooked up and running. Thank you SO very much. What a gift this video has been for me on what has been a VERY challenging time.
Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
My husband and I truly want to thank you for this informative video. We sincerely appreciates you. So far we are getting good results from the use of this Midea 3-in-1 Portable Air Conditioner. We gladly rates you and the air conditioner 5 Stars 🌟🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 😊 .
So guess what… I commented 11 months ago about my compressor going out. Now my unit is out again and thank goodness 😅 I kept these. I have a third one I have to set up and I couldn’t remember one step so I’m back here to look at it. Again I’m so glad you did this video!!!
Most other video review did not provide an honest or realistic opinion on how well the portable AC works; however, yours is one of few that have info I can use before I make a purchase, thank you!
*Works so well **Fastly.Cool** that it only requires daytime operation until high temp and humidity are overnight. It is difficult to get to side filters, but back is easily accessible.*
It'll cool better at night the sun will not be beaming on the roof, and it cools down easier. I live in Florida, where we have humidity and that ac cools my room nice day and night.
Thank you for your video. I am a disabled person, living alone, and I had to install this a/c unit by myself. Your video helped to explain exactly how to install it, and also, how to attach the drain hose. Thank you!! So much!!! :)
I've had one now going on my 3rd spring. Our AC just doesn't push the cold air upstairs to the master bedroom and my stepson room. And i cant sleep if im hot. Being in Michigan I only need it from April to early September. At night that thing can get the room so cold we need a extra blanket. Probably could hang a side of beef. I love that thing. Best $400 I ever spent. My portable ac doesn't collect water. It evaporate any moisture and sends it back out the vent sleeve.
Thank you!! That manual really does a poor job at explaining setup and I wasn't about to pay one of my handyman buddies to come build it for me. Glad I found your video!! You explained everything perfectly.
Thank you so much! The manual wasn’t horribly detailed so I’ve avoided installing it in my room! It’s supposed to be 90 here tomorrow so I finally searched UA-cam and I completely understand how now that I’ve watched your video! Thank you 🙏!!!
Thank u for this video it definitely helped me set up my portable air conditioner!! Now to find a window A.C for downstairs...gonna have fun tryna set that up.
I thank you so very much for you really did do a great job of reviewing this I was wanting someone to explain the attachment/hose that goes outside of the window along with the water drainage you covered it all again I thank you.
I just bought this exact one because I have back issues and lifting the window units is becoming to much for me. My son carried it in the bedroom which is about 10 x 11 and it's not crazy cold but keeps my toddler sons comfortable. I left it at 62 with our summer temps in mass rn of 90s for next 5-7 days. It is a little loud but not obnoxious.
Ours is in a 20x20 room and keeps it cool. We set it at 72-74 & it keeps it at temp. We've been running around 85-90 outside temps with extreme humidity and its still doing well.
Thanks for this. I set it up. I find the air coming out is cool not cold. After running it for 15 minutes it’s the same. I have it at the lowest setting. I had another brand Panasonic and the air coming out of it was cold.. I could hear the compressor working. So far on this unit I just hear a noisy fan and not the compressor.
me too. especially a crappy ac like midea. i get afraid it will somehow just break everytime i hear the buzz noise. too aftaid it somehow exhaust itself and just die
I put a giant crockpot behind mine and it filled up more than 3 gallons of water overnight. I got it set to 62 degrees but it didn't cool the area even though I feel cold air coming out. The area is only about 3 feet by 6 feet. It's a little closed off insulated area by my back door that I also bought a storm door with a pet entry. I bought it for my dog. I'm stumped as to why it's not cooling. Lately the temps been over 100 everyday with heat index up to 115.
I just bought the exact one today from Walmart. Frustrated with the directions I looked up how to put it together on UA-cam and found you. You are the one that helped me put it together. Huge Thanks!! Question: I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do with the metal piece and two screws. What it goes to?! Thanks!! 😎
It’s a security bracket you can mount on your window to keep the window from being moved up. Doesn’t need to be on, maybe for people with small children… or if it’s a main floor window, it’ll keep people out.
Thank you I just bought this and I have to install it now it’s already so hot in my apartment in Ohio so I’m going to use it in my bedroom. I didn’t like the window units because so many bugs and spiders came in all the time. Hoping this is much better.
In the front do you have a black panel behind the white horizontal and vertical air panels that doesn’t seem removable. I just got one and it seems like it shouldn’t have a black panel blocking half the air? Idk if it’s a design flaw or just built like that.
Do you use a separate dehumidifier? I'm looking at buying this for my bedroom here in South Florida and it's always super humid here and I have the sun on my room most of the day too. This unit seems promising with humid climates.
We've never really used the dehimifier part of it. We already had a dehumifier beffore we got this but it says you can use it for that. You'd need a drain though.
The main reason I'm looking at buying one is so I don't have to deal with heavy lifting one in the window. I want a 10,000 BTU which is very heavy. Newer one have phone apps and require wi fi connection which I don't have so they would have to have optional remote control or push button like your have.
I just got this unit I love the midea dehumidifier and the app hoping this ac works with the app with the dehumidifier this and my air purifier from honeywell my room is going to be amazing thank god fl power is cheap
I put mine up on a table and made a hole in the plastic window thing for the tube to go out - now the water drains outside. Bucket filled up too fast with water here in Texas.
So you used it just for humidifier? Does it drain more when using it for AC ? Sorry just asking just wondering if I should keep it or not , I just bought it other day ?!
Two side filters? I got no instructions but it's bit been cool till I shut it off n in again. Drain hose in tip seems to pee out water so I bought a lomg hose. Bottom one has a screw in cap some place thing I aide with a plug on it. Didn't think it was a drain hose. But until I took it off messed with the temp thing aka wiggled it. Finally I git cold again. Are both drain holes n is there more than one filter area? Could be half my issue. I see a filter up top that comes off and you clean etc but where are the other ones ans how do they come off?
We only use the bottom drain plug. We clean the filter....blow it out monthly. At tge end of summer I open it, take off the casing, and do a thorough cleaning before storing for the winter.

THANK YOU for actually showing which way that panel sits in the window unlike the other reviews I’ve seen!
"Im just gonna put it on a stand and drain it into a bucket" That was brilliant! Thank you! My place gets so frikken humid! This trick did the job.

so nice very thanks for sharing
These things work excellent it keeps my room cool
Thank you that’s what I needed to know
Thank you ..you explained it nice and simple
Sur your the master and that's a skills amazing impressive great work sir
Use pipe insulation on the exhaust pipe. It generates a fair amount of heat back into the room and the insulation will help it to all make it outside.
Thats good portable air conditioner and review
a handy thing to have, good to see that your husband is also a handyman...
Thank you very much for this video
You saved me!! Because of this, i subscribed. Thank youuu!
Thank you for your help! You should do more things like this🥳

We set ours at 74 and it cools a 20x20 room no issues. Unplug yours and let it sit a few hours then try it again. Set at 62 may have froze it up.
Thats very cool airconditioner portable sis

great job Sir
I just picked up the same portable air conditioner so I guess I'll know how it holds up after a few days
Good job very informative.
Wrap the exhaust tubing with foil or heat reduction wrap. Makes a big difference.
