    I like Mark’s reviews. When a guy like him…..who’s only hair on his head ….are his eye brows….gives out shaving advice….YOU LISTEN. Personally…I’m a Rockwell man….with the 6C…6S…T2…and T2 SS. I started with the 6C and just added to my collection over the years…mainly with Black Friday discount buys. They are great razors and I like looking at other razor brand reviews….but I would never give up my Rockwells.

    Own it…Love it! Your observations and comments were absolutely spot on. I’m less enamored with the Rockwell blade after sampling the amazing Rapira Lux, Perma Sharp and my new favorite the Gillette Platinum (IMHO, the best combo of outstanding sharpness and smooth performance). Thanks.

    I nearly bought the t2 a couple years back but really wanted a stainless razor for the cost. I got the 6s instead and have been using it for 90 percent of my shaves. I love it but i miss the tto mechanism. I rarely switch plates but when i feel like adjusting it, the tto style would be nice. I'll be watching this razor to see how well it lasts. It shouldn't be an issue but you never know with all the moving parts, its definitely a potential purchase in the future, it looks awesome

      I picked up my T2 SS on a Black Friday sale at Rockwell Corp. Store…..with the stand…for $147. That’s 50% of full list price….and a real bargain. I have the 6S…which gives a wonderful shave…BBS with no irritation. I will switch from the 5/6 plate to the 3/1 plate for my XTG and ATG passes. I know what you mean about the slight inconvenience. With the T2 SS….no such problem exists. I just loosen the bottom closer a couple of turns…and then reset my blade gap….smooth as silk. My TTO mechanism has worked perfectly…and it’s so smooth and precise. This razor is a piece of industrial art…and I wholeheartedly recommend it. You won’t be sorry.

    I’m not a big fan of the T2C or T2S with the large Head on “head overhang”.. totally opposite of “bladetab overhang”.. seems very wide🤷🏼‍♂️ love the 6s, and in fairness I’ve not purchased/tried a T2.. but at $250 (literally two $50’s more than I want to spend🤣) I don’t plan to try it anytime soon. I’m a stainless guy, so maybe when they run a promo or a prime day type sale🤷🏼‍♂️ I will say that their 6s is a phenomenal shaver and they obviously are a great company!

      Mark, both the T2SS and chrome version are well-built razors. Love the smooth, continuous adjustability and that the end tabs of the blade are enclosed in the razor head. Nice features.
      If getting a Gillette Fatboy, you may need to do a bit of research and homework in order to be sure that the one you're buying is in good condition. They can be found, it just might take some time. Consider a Gillette Slim. They are more plentiful and sometimes can be had at a good price point. Give it a try and see how it shaves for you. You can then continue to look for a Fatboy.

I've read A LOT of bad reviews about T razors and a lot of people have complaints about the quality of the T2 razors. Mark... you said this ss version is smoother than the chrome version. I have a 6S and a 6C and the 6C is definitely smoother (not even close) because their SS stuff seems to be dull and won't slide. How do you explain your statement?

      @MarkSzorady  Рік тому +1

      Theodore, I know, it sounds counter-intuitive due to many viewers, like you, who have used the 6C and 6S and found the 6C to be smoother due to the chrome plating. I cannot explain it. the T2SS just feels this way to me. I could make a number of guesses, but they would be just that. Guesses. I have used several other SS razors that also feel quite smooth. Yes, there's a difference between some chrome and SS razors. The T2SS simply feels quite smooth to me. Apologies if this answer is rather incomplete. And thanks for the very kind words.

    That is a great-looking T2 upgrade. I'm sure many wet shavers will be anxious to get one. As I've tried different DE razors, I don't really need a truly adjustable safety razor after I discovered the Rockwell 6S. I'm an everyday shaver and the R4/R2 plate always gives me a comfortable and irritation-free BBS shave. I can always start with the R6/R5 plate when I have 2-3 days of beard growth. I don't; have the Ambassador, but have the Flexi. Since using the Flexi, I definitely want an Ambassador. • @isthisit781
      @isthisit781 Рік тому

      I tend to agree with you on "diminishing return". The one factor i can think of in this case that may make it worth it is the matte finish and stainless steel rather than zamak or coated brass. Theoretically it should outlast other options, my concern is the moving parts wearing out or being damaged in a drop or fall. My 6s has fallen a few times and is fine,but it's 3 chunks of steel whereas this T2 is several small pieces and a few bigger pieces. Time will tell us alot about the durability hinges and what not.

    • @isthisit781

      @@isthisit781 I'll take my chances with the cheaper units and handle with care. I'm using a $30 CAD Weishi adjustable right now that is excellent. It's hard to imagine that I need to replace it 6x+ (the equivalent sum of $180 USD) in my entire lifetime. Plus if you have a few other good units, you can rotate them into the routine, thus drastically reducing the chance the units on the shelf wear or are damaged.

    Ok a little offended (on your behalf as well as a couple of the other shave channels that I frequent). I found a 15% off code on another guys channel for Rockwell and it worked for this razor!!!). While I like Rockwell, I can’t understand why UA-camrs like you, Sinatra, Greg and I think his name is Chris, didn’t get the same 15% off codes for your viewers, but Rockwell used all of your quotes on their website to advertise for their Razor🤷🏼‍♂️. The guy I came across doesn’t have a quote🤦🏻‍♂️. Just seems like they should have allowed that level of discount for your channels as well. Again, I’m offended for you guys. Seems disrespectful to you and your audiences. (I won’t share the channel or the code, because I don’t know if it impacts you).

      Ohio Shaves took my frustration to Rockwell and they are giving him a 15% discount code.. hope they do the same for you and your audience.

    Got mine. Rockwell blades are useless. Not sharp enough for me. I use Bic Patinum. Or Permasharp.

      Yes, the T2SS is tuned a bit milder than the regular T2. However, I shaved with it the other day (I did three passes) and got such a close shave it gave some feedback form the alum block. That's the thing...it feels so smooth, it can be deceiving at times.:) YMMV.:)

    have you always been zealous about shaving? was there any time in your youth in which there was doubt in your heart? Where you thought perhaps a beard was a 'cool' look or maybe a moustache, fashionable? Or have you always been unwavering and steadfast in your faith that being shaved is the best way?

      I've never been able togrow a beard. I don't like the feel. When I get two days' worth of beard growth or more, I need to shave.:)
