We have a crock just like that. It was here in my husband's house when I moved in. He had it on the counter packed completely full of large butcher knives that he has collected over the years. I've seen no reason to change it! He's spent a lifetime of collecting everything. So have I. The first time he saw my little house & how I had it fixed up, he said, "I think we will get along just fine!" We merged our stuff! It's so funny how many things we had alike. It's been 19 years so far!
I wish I lived back in Texas. I have a lot of old vintage and handmade things from my grandmother and mother that will go to nobody. I know you and your daughters would love them. It breaks my heart that my daughter in law does not have the same love for these as we do.
Near the beginning, when you picked up the little wooden stand, with the measuring spoons hanging from it, we had one of those at home when I was growing up. It would've been from the 60's!
That little ironing board, step stool and chair combo was a great design! I’m amazed how you manage to lift all those crocks and heavy pieces with one hand!!? I picture your left non camera arm being mighty muscular 😂 Thanks for sharing
I have big, fancy jars with pretty glass lids, that display my grandmother's old sewing stuff -thread, needles still in packages, buttons still on cards, rickrack, zippers, etc. They are on the treadle machine I inherited from her. I have wooden spools on a book case in my sewing room. And, of course, I have a few button jars!
Love those mixingbowls and that big crock Beautyfull furniture! Get an old muffintin for me please. Been looking for so long Love the jar with spools. That cristal lidded candypedistal next to that amber oillamp was gorgeous too. Enjoy your plants Julie. My cats always eat mine. Hugs X
Hi Julie! I was thinking about you a couple hours ago! I was shopping at my local thrift store and spotted 2 vintage Country Harvest, deep dish pie plates. One is strawberry and the other cheesecake. They were priced at $2.50 each but it was half price day!!!!! The only person I could think of who would be as excited about this find as I am, was you! You betcha these beauties came home with me. 😊
You can use a large basket for a small coffee table in a small room. It would look gorgeous. I have an odd shape wood bench and i use it for my coffee table cause i have a small living room. Nice haul!!
Julie, I totally agree with you, it is important for thrifters to go out and learn, merchandising techniques, pricing and what is hot in vintage.Regardless of the style, era of time that fills fills your heart with joy, Mid-Century, Cottage Core, Shabby Chic and on and on. I have had a vintage business on line since 2011, I have learned so much and have done hours of research, to provide a backstory for my buyers. I strongly feel dealers need to price their items to sell, which helps them developing a steady clientele, making friends and finding what people are looking for. Turnover of merchandise is critical, every shop needs new items with creative ways merchandising vignettes. Keep up your great job Julie, your Fans, love You ❤️👍❤️.
I have one of those step stool iron boards. I leave it as a chair in the corner of the kitchen and I put it as a board and toss a cloth over it to use as a sideboard or extra space for food at the holidays. Looks cute all set up with buffet foods and Christmas decorations 😊
Oh my goodness, Julie. You looked like a kid in a candy store...that place was so you. I saw a table next to the tall cabinet w/drawers that i have almost the exact same one. I pd $15 at a garage sale. Like you i saw many higher priced items that i have. Which i thrifted. Its so worth it.
Love that store! Love your crock too! I do the same thing with my plants, i use clay pots too to put inside the larger container . Thanks for the video! Have a great weekend!
Hi Julie, I'm just now seeing the episode with the little brown , square bottles . I had to laugh...those are snuff bottles! They had little cork tops. My grandfather dipped snuff and used to sit on the porch and spit into the yard! We always wanted to dig in the dirt and my mama was always shooing us from the spit spot! 😂
The corn muffin cast iron price depends on the maker. Wagner or Griswold piece will get a higher price. I suspect that the one you showed us is a Griswold.
I love those prices. In Southern California those are thrift store prices. I can’t afford to shop the thrift stores here anymore. Since Covid the prices have gone up so high.
Danger- The crock you bought is not glazed on the bottom. Any water from a plant can seep out and RUIN a wood surface it’s sitting on. It happened to me. So wanted you to be aware. Use a plate under it for sure. 👍😊
Hello from upstate New York, new subscriber and love your videos❤. I’m a prim lover and loved this though can’t believe how much higher prices are in Texas. We don’t pay a quarter of the prices there. Loved your kitchen video and you are very talented at repurposing. Your home is so cozy, warm and welcoming 🤎
That tiered stand right after the rotating cabinet, is very similar to the Hobby-lobby stand that is so popular right now and also more expensive. Love your videos
I found at Goodwill the green basket like the one in the video with all the picnic dishes, cups etc for $14.99. I really didn't want to pay that, but after seeing the antique booth at $65 glad I did. I love old baskets and finding bargains at the thirft stores!
Oh ms Julie thank ya for taking us along. OMG all that beautiful furniture. I look at that stuff and imagine. If they could only talk, what stories they could tell!!! 😂
Hi Julie. I am so glad y'all got some very much needed rain. Hey, I live in Texas too. With rain, you get crazy humidity. It's like you have to take the bitter with the sweet! This was a great video. I think a lot of people buy their booth items from goodwill and thrift stores and then hike their prices for their profits. They almost have to do this to pay for the high cost of their booths. For the space you get, it ain't cheap. You always have the prettiest pothos plants. I have a brown thumb, but I bought one and keep your fingers crossed, it's doing good so far! I did keep it in the container and sit it in another container. So hopefully it will do good. The crock you bought is so pretty. I noticed several of the items you looked at, you had one at home. I know it does your heart good to know the money you saved. It just goes to show, it pays to shop. After this week, the temperatures are suppose to get cooler! Thank God, this has been a summer to remember. Falls a knocking on the door! Yea!! 😄
Thank you so much 😊! And yes, my point was to show others that if you can’t afford antique store prices that you can eventually find these items at thrift stores for a lot less.
👵💜 Goodwill prices don't seem so bad now. I bet they get some of their stuff at Goodwill too. I have a green crock bowl I wish I could figure out how to use it in my decor. You have such good ideas, I know some day I will get an idea from you. I love your sense of style, Julie 💜. Be well.
Hey girl. I don't even bother going into shops like that bc I know I'll love all the stuff and can't justify the cost. Especially when we can get lucky at thrift store. As we know your price range at the thrift store I get excited when me see you spending a lil more. But I could justify $18 for that crock
I go to get ideas on displaying etc. like that measuring spoon thing…I have a rack like that I’m def gonna try that with. Sometimes it’s fun to browse and get ideas
I saw a Pewter duck, like the one at 4:17, at Goodwill recently but it had gold on it and was a bit larger! Also, the Hawkeye picnic basket at 13:17 is a fave!!! 😍 I scored one for $5 at an Estate Sale recently but it's all brown! I enjoyed this video a lot!
I think we should start a go fund me for you so you can get that fun shaped revolving cabinet. It was amazing! I also like the lil cabinet with all the lil square drawers and the huge chunky pencil on top! See ya Friday! Blessings 😊
Hi Julie! I would've loved to get that jelly cabinet to use as a pantry. I spotted an old sampler I would've loved too. I think all thrifters are wishing the same thing "I wish I had more space"lol. Thanks for taking us along and you have a great day!❤
I love the thrift stores, they have fantastic prices. I do find some treasures at antique flea markets. That’s where I found my wood bachelor ironing board like yours. Love it has many uses. I style it many ways: behind my sofa, like a sofa table & as a chair with a vintage doll. I love the vintage picnic baskets like you saw and the one you have. One day I hope to find one. I had fun visiting this wonderful place with so many treasures.
You have a home filled with beautiful antiques and vintage! It is quite the adventure to find special pieces at thrift stores, yet worth all the watching and waiting! I am sympathetic with antique sellers too, because they must pay monthly booth fees and sometimes even commission on each piece sold. Thanks for a fun outing! The crock is great, and very useful too!
I love going into antique shops and seeing all of the bargains that I've been able to pick up at Goodwill and other 2nd hand shops. Goodwill has gone up on their prices but compared to antique shops they're still bargain prices. The crock you picked up will make a great planter. Can't wait to see it once you've changed it out. Blessings to you Julie for blessing us with your exciting shopping trip videos.😊
Makes you feel good when you see items you purchase at thrift stores and pay a better price than are sold in antique stores . But I do love looking in antique stores . Enjoyed your vidio . Have a good week . 😊❤
Yes, I do love that I know where to go if I want something though and don’t want to wait to get lucky at a thrift store. I can pay a little more and support local friends.
Julie that little wood rack that had the measuring spoons on it originally had measuring cups. I know because my momma had one in her kitchen. Love your crock. 😊❤😊🙏
What a great video! I love the crock you bought and all of those cabinets were stunning! I'm on the hunt for the perfect one for myself. Repotting your pothos in the crock will look fabulous! Tfs❤
Julie, this antique shop is my favorite place to go 💕🙏🙏. That drawer cabinet was a great price. Great price for the cheese box. All the price’s at the antique store were really good price’s. However, I’m from Northern Illinois and our antique stores, flea markets, etc are much higher priced 💕🙏🙏
I had that 3 in one ironing board, step stool and chair. My father in law made it. When the ironing board is upright it becomes the back of the chair so it's not huge to store.
Hi Julie . I have not been to an antique/ vintage flea market in ages !!!! I really enjoyed this . Lots of things I wish I could have! Lots of treasures . Thank you ! ❤ Marilyn D
So many wonderful things today, but the prices would be too much for my blood. I really like the picnic baskets. I had one like yours that was a gift new. Now I wish I had it. I did find a basket made like a suitcase but was a picnic basket. It has all the plastic plates, cups and spoons (etc.) I just left them in it and used it on the floor as a riser. Hi Julie. I have three old wooden ironing boards and set them up as a barbecue center in the summer. Just have much fun looking.👍💕
That rotating hardware store cabinet was to die for!😍 Those vendors had some beautiful pieces and some pretty good prices for that type of venue.
I have one of the rotating cabinets. It was my in-laws and I absolutely cherish it!

You can use a large basket for a small coffee table in a small room. It would look gorgeous. I have an odd shape wood bench and i use it for my coffee table cause i have a small living room. Nice haul!!
Hi Julie! There was some really nice furniture there. I only really liked the cabinet at 2:30. Pet Piper and Mimi for me and have a great week!

Thank you so much for this ☺️ I appreciate your kindness.
I have an old wooden ironing board, just a plain one, that is at my front door entry way. It's home to a lamp, some old pictures & old jars.
I have one of those step stool iron boards. I leave it as a chair in the corner of the kitchen and I put it as a board and toss a cloth over it to use as a sideboard or extra space for food at the holidays. Looks cute all set up with buffet foods and Christmas decorations 😊
Oh my gosh! That’s perfect! I wish you could email me a picture of it as a chair.
One of my favorite thrift spots!

Yes, I do love that I know where to go if I want something though and don’t want to wait to get lucky at a thrift store. I can pay a little more and support local friends.
That ironing board/chair/step’s would be a very cute sofa table. That is an amazing price on that little blue cabinet
Wasn’t that the most fun piece! Are you talking about that little blue table too cabinet?
Julie that little wood rack that had the measuring spoons on it originally had measuring cups. I know because my momma had one in her kitchen. Love your crock. 😊❤😊🙏
You’re right, I had one back in the early 70’s
Oh how stinking fun! I love all the memories!
What a great video! I love the crock you bought and all of those cabinets were stunning! I'm on the hunt for the perfect one for myself. Repotting your pothos in the crock will look fabulous! Tfs❤
Thank you so much ☺️
Your pothos plant looks like it's suffering from overwatering......
I love that crock, the porthos will look great in it!❤
Thank you 😊
Thanks for taking us along
You’re welcome ☺️

It’s so fun to go and look and support some of our local folks.
Thank you for sharing !!!
Thank you for coming along.
Love the music.
Thank you 😊
So many wonderful things today, but the prices would be too much for my blood. I really like the picnic baskets. I had one like yours that was a gift new. Now I wish I had it. I did find a basket made like a suitcase but was a picnic basket. It has all the plastic plates, cups and spoons (etc.) I just left them in it and used it on the floor as a riser. I paid 10.00 for it.
I like so many things you looked at. Texas would be a good place to thrift. NOT here!🤔😢😭
LOVE THIS
Thank you 😊
Happy Tuesday
Hey …Happy Tuesday!
I went to my local goodwill and found a set of lounge chairs and they were all marked individually and I asked them if they would sell it as a set for a better deal...nope. I really don't like my goodwill, they are also very unorganized and overpriced especially on clothes that have holes and stains. At least I tried lol.
I’ve never seen a piece like that with triangle shape drawers . Some beautiful pieces in that shop. I got tickled when you said you needed a bigger house because I was going to put that in a comment and then you said it LOL😊❤️😇 8:10
I know l! Isn’t it amazing!
Hope you are able to make it to the Round Top/ Warrenton Antique Show in October. Lots of great deals!
Oh I bet it’s a blast.
Love the crock I bought a 5 gallon one at believe it or not at Goodwill for 4 dollars

I paid $3 at the Restore for my picnic basket like the one you were looking at.
Oh wowza! Great score.
Your item at 5:15 is a vinyl record holder.
Oh awesome! Thank you 😊
Love antique stores, I actually had a booth in one once. Rather go to a thrift store where I can afford to shop.
I love them too! So fun!! Especially at Christmas 🎄
Me too

Hey let’s go! We are good!
Hi Julie. Can you tell me the store you were thrifting at today. I see some things I would like to have. Thanks
🥰❤️✅
Julie do you want some Wexford pedestal glaases?
Oh they are beautiful but we really wouldn’t use those often.
14:30 Did you find out what the piece across the spout was for on that pitcher? I think it’s to keep ice from all pouring out. ❤️😇
You are correct! So many people told me that’s what it’s for.
You are at my sister’s auction/antique mall!
I love that place!! Especially the two booths up front! So much primitive goodness!
@@ThrilledThrifter My sister and mom both decorate in primitive!
Beautiful antiques!!! Glad you got the crock!!
Thank you 😊
