Such a good song. Magic Dick used this as inspiration for the first 2 choruses of Whammer Jammer. Unique articulation you use, I’ve always used “Yuhgah duggah” for the chordal chug.

Definitely the best tutorial on that, note-wise simple, but sound-wise difficult song. Thx

How is the Oskar low tuned? I just bought a couple haven’t got them yet

Lee Oskar Lows play great. I own a low C and low F. One thing I learned about lows is that they're not going to sound as loud and they shouldn't be played too loud. If you're wanting to learn Bye Bye Bird there's a good video of Sonny Boy playing it in a low C like this lesson. I mention this because other recordings also have him playing a low D.@@Crushbandicoot-wv8xb

Many thanks Gareth. I never understood before how to obtain that slap effect.. Waouuhhh ! I'm so grateful. You are a fantastic harp player and your videos are very helpul to understand all the techniques to fatten the tone. How do you tune your harps to have those smooth chords? Pure just intonation or tempered? 442hzt? Thanks again.

Thank you, I’m so happy it’s helping other players.
This harp has been pretty much untouched since the 1960s! I essentially use a compromised just intonation where the triads are close to JI but I raise the draw 5 to 0 cents, usually tuned to 443HZ.

You play pretty good, but you talk too much you need to play without talking so much
