The way Cypress Hill has managed to stay #1 in the game is by keeping it more than real , keeping it simple, these rappers now a days try so hard that the public loses interest, the same way Snoop Dogg still number one on his genre type of rap, he also keeps it simple, all day occurrences lyrics that people can identify with, no bullshit and not fkng with other people. That's mostly my playlist, Cypress Hill and Snoop(Lion) Dogg.
Its kind of "Crazy" as a single track, but it fits on the album perfectly!! This entire record just flows together as a collective of songs, the interludes are top notch and segue flawlessly in to the next song. It really is an experience and for the first listen, find a pair of headphones and a quiet, undisturbed place, and float with the elephants.

If people don't understand it it's not meant for their ears. This is honestly one of the greatest groups from the 80s and 90s! And had fun with it. I wish more artist would take risks and stop being so formulaic. Music is first and foremost to be entertaining but also creative and fun. There shouldn't be so many restrictions and rules. Just make music for people to enjoy.
Hey thats a great comment! I got into Cypress in 1993. I was not in the hip hop scene at all. I was in the mod scene but i came across their 1st album. And what hooked me most were all the samples. I knew almost all the songs DJ Muggs was using and it was great. They were a gateway fornme to grt into other hip hop tribe called quest pharcyde de la soul etc. But your comment is bang on.
