does anybody know what kind of tires they use on asphalt like this, foam, rubber, slicks, treaded?
They were mostly using the stock rubber tyres that came with the cars. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
They use rubber normally a chosen make of tyre, rim pre glued to make it fair for all racers

Can someone please answer me, why is every belt driven on road Rc fitted with a "spool" in the front? am i stupid? why would you have it in the front and not the rear, and why even have a spool over a diff?!
Because the grip is high a spool in the front performs the same as a diff, but is lighter. You lose a little initial steering but gain traction out of the corner. Run ING one I the rear too would reduce turning response further and unsettle the rear so its not done.
