Most of things were listed, but other things that work too: - Set effect of Warpriest of Saradomin/Zamorak (or anima core of sliske if set to these) - Fungal Shield effect from Cryptbloom (5 pieces) - Intercept works if in group with something like barricade. Fun fact, from testing on my hardcore ironman: - You don't ring of life, it's a safe instance (so you don't lose lifes if you "die") - You can still sign of life if you have a defense cape in anachronia cape stand, but not if it's in your max cape.

@@WingsofAbsurdity IIRC this harks back to the combat council deeming some defensive abilities as "cheese", and this became quite evident with the release of Elder God Wars Season. JMods didn't like people using Cade to succeed at Zuk's 3rd challenge, Mod Ramen has also said he dislikes Resonance and even joked about removing it at some point, which is why some of Zamorak mechanics pierce through defensives, and the reason why Kerapac can bypass Devotion, there's also Mod Ryan (i think) saying he wants Anticipate/Freedom to be reactive abilities rather than Adren Fillers; and that's why the Arch Glacor Frost Cannon works the way it does. Fun fact: The first iteration of "damage potential" was introduced with ED4 Greater Demons, where you literally cannot miss an attack but will deal reduced damage, in fact all of the Greater Demons, Ash Lords, Berserkers, from there (and in the wildy too) have this ability. Let's just say, we should be wary of defensives from now on, chances are we may see (yet another) combat beta later on, and this time, EZK and FSOA will be on the menu, i can only guess defensives will be aswell because Amascut may have some defensive bypass since Ramen is working on it (again IIRC). I'm not crazy I swear! All these squares make a circle, it's all connected.
Defender (rebounders+reprisers) work there too when they proc. Best strat and semi effort is use defenders while doing divination or climbing and use Tagga's corehammer when mining, if you don't have corehammer just use a defender with crystal shield perk (preferably crystal shield+mobile) Other things that Do NOT work: Spirit shields, Lucky perk, Absorbative perk. I uploaded a video done on my iron with defender, it helps block damage (and begone attack can block more than 5k if you're lucky)

TBH I think the Kalphite Defender offers the best of both worlds. - Semi-Decent Cade length (including Malletops Tier 2 Perk). - Chance of reducing incoming damage. - Allows armour perks, so (Crystal Shield 4 + Mobile) works like a charm. However, I think a Zemouregal Nexus (a.k.a. Portable Tier 75 Shield) basically removes the need for a shield/defender for cade, and the length isn't too bad either. Mobile perk isn't really needed as successfully dodging the square mechanics resets Dive's Cooldown, and Double Surge is only really needed after the pillars mechanic. Lastly, the Chance to reduce damage from both defender and CS4 is nice, but ultimately is a toss up between better mining crit chance (from corehammer) or survivability.
@Kranon Well if you are aware how I feel about Reprisers.. Repriser doesn't override a bow, unacceptable!!!!! (in reality, it's because I don't have one)
It could be worth testing as well but the spot you're standing when the shards fall might affect which ones fall first. I have a tile that I stand on while healing the first barrier to 30 and it really feels like my preferred shard drops more often than not. My sample size is nowhere scientific though (147kc)
My favourite strategy is using a Spirit Shield (Turtling 4) swap for longer Barricades (~17 Seconds with a Malletops Tier 2 Perk) while I camp a Corehammer. I did some tests with an Ancient Defender too (Crystal Shield 4 + Mobile) and although I like it, I still feel like I'm missing out on something by not using a Corehammer; and I actually have a video cooking where I do 2 kills with both sets (~4:00 kills on both cases, which is slow, but again, it's on RS Mobile), gonna do more runs and see if there's any noticeable difference.
Does the Spirit Shield effect work? I also heard you actually don't need Corehammer if you're doing Gargoyle Scrolls but of course if you're on mobile, that won't hold true for you :3

@@WingsofAbsurdity np something else I notice when testing with friends can't entirely confirm yet but when u clear the rocks with one left by itself theres a chance it won't have that tile bomb moment the blue tile blast. Haven't confirm too much but it maybe helpful for people who get stuck. Sometimes it might have it other times it just will be open

It was me! I confirmed that TMW does work. Though, it's definitely better to wear golem outfit anyway.

I think it's random. I stood in many different spots and same spots and my footage shows it just chooses which one wants to fall first.
