What size braid line would you use for schoolie yellowfin tuna 20-80lbs range and also a small chance of a 100lb tuna possible? Fish out in the Gulf of Mexico for yellowfin.
Here in the NE you'll most commonly see reels spooled up with 65-80lb braid. Even with that line test you could land larger tuna as long as you have the right gear. Not sure how that would translate down south though.
Your explanation of the jigging cadence is awesome! Thank you for that!
Great demonstration, mate. Thank you, buddy!
the fish attract really well. and the power of the rod, reel and extraordinary technique. Fishing greetings from Bali, Indonesia
Jigging World makes some amazing products.
Great explanation! What model was the slow pitch luminous rod (length, action, power etc.)?
Hell yeah
@OnTheWaterMedia can ya'll post a link for the rods and the reel. Makes it easy to know it's the same one's
Thx
Great gear summary. How many wraps do you use for the FG? Thx Capt
How are the twin powers keeping up until now ?.. thinking of purchasing this same size
Why do you fish hollow core if you are going to just tie an fg knot instead of splicing?
Why use hollow core over regular braid? Especially when doing an fg knot?
for jigging do you use high gear or low gear reels. I'm trying to buy a TwinPower for jigging and wondering if I should go with the PG or HG?
If you want to do jigging exclusively go with the PG. The HG works too, just gotta slow down the retrieve.
what is the rod rating for the luminous? and what size reel is on it
i keep hearing about this "show" when can i get the whole fishing trip video?
Couple weeks!
Were you using 350g rods for the high pitch?
Kinda late, but yes, 350g for the high pitch, 400g for the slow pitch. I remember reading the article that corresponds to this video on their website.
