✨🌸 Cry Baby no longer cares whether she's with a guy, but she gets rid of a girl who's with a guy for fun. Cry Baby is set on trying to free the boy from the grip of his girlfriend, even though she doesn’t really love the boy herself. She uses a play on words in the title, it can be heard as "pacifier", which is a rubber object used to silence a crying infant. She knows that the boy has feelings for her and not for his current lover, so she insists that he should get rid of her once and for all: she’s embraced being a homewrecker. This may be Cry Baby taking after her father, whom she has experienced witnessing his many affairs behind her drunken mother's back before his death.🌸✨

“Pacify Her” follows “Tag, You’re It,” which covers the topic of sexual assault. Melanie told VICE that “Cry Baby” becomes a different person after that experience and embraces her craziness, which carries on through this song:

I wish yall would go in order, she had her storyline of her Crybaby album in order and her same character goes on theough her journey through k12 and then portals, it's her whole life in those 3 albums, it's a trilogy, yall should 100% react to k12 in order to make up for this not being in order , you just get the best experience going in order!
They did the same thing with NF and they were fine. I didn’t watch these and order and I’m fine. It didn’t take anything away from it.
@@lolamorales9842 It doesn't but it's VERY important for us to listen/watch in the order the artist has intended us to, all of melanie's albums are concept albums that tell a cohesive story from beginning to end whether it's the music itself or the visuals, so it's very important especially for new listeners to listen in the correct order or they'll be just left confused. It's like reading a storybook/novel from the climax
