  • I noticed that, on some occasions, combining the Kodak 2383 Film Lut with the bleach bypass technique results in some nice-looking images.
Take a look at this back-to-back comparison between the log footage, a CST to Rec.709, Bleach Bypass applied, and the Bleach Bypass plus the Kodak 2383 LUT.
    Shoot on a BMPCC 6K
Color Graded in Davinci Resolve 17
    Lens 1: Canon EF-S 10-18 IS STM
    Shoot at 24 fps, Braw 12:1, 6k 6144x3456
    Exported in 4K UHD 3840x1600, 24 fps

Thanks, I was checking some old footage and kind of stumble upon this while playing with the colors. It's a bit strong , but interesting

Looks really nice. How did you apply the bleach bypass look to it?

      Thank you.
Its simple, you create 2 Layer nodes and in the layer mixer you right click on it and select "Overlay". After that select one of the layer nodes (e.g. the bottom one) and you remove the saturation from it. that will give you the Bleach Bypass look. sometimes the shadows may get crushed so you may need to adjust them.
You have a nice example here: ua-cam.com/video/zNDu_ppDw3E/v-deo.html
