In a shocking development, Dr. S Saravanamoorthy, a 33-year-old doctor from Tirupattur, has been arrested in Coimbatore for allegedly sexually assaulting 12 young female students during a medical camp organized by the Isha Foundation. The camp, part of the ‘Action for Rural Rejuvenation’ program, was held at a government school in Thondamuthur.
The incident came to light following a meeting between education officials and the students, initiated after recent cases of staff misconduct at a government college in Valparai. The case is under intense investigation as authorities work to ensure justice for the victims.
