Nice video man you seem like a real gent. God bless you and yours.
PIP MORGAN thank you. Appreciate the positive comment. I'm also gonna try out that shiny gloss finish method also
Very very nice...........so informative and such a nice video thank you so much!
Thanks
Awesome Brother...stack your cabbage pile good. Great informative how to video. Holler back at me when you get a chance. Hoping all is well with you and yours.
This video was EXTREMELY helpful. I found that the paper that I have is the same, but for some reason the peeling process is really difficult and not as easy, that is why I thought that it didn't peel at all. Thanks again!!
So Blessed a while back I actually took a sheet cut it into small pieces just to practice peeling it. Repetition pays off with this paper.
Brandon Conner I took your advice. Thanks.
if you rip the corner it will peel much easier. this is the ONLY way i have gotten it to peel.
Ok will see what I can find.. enjoy your family today. Merry CHRISTmas
Same to you
Hello Brandon love your video, very helpful. I just purchased a heat press machine so i can do shirts for my sunday school class. Can you tell me where you bought the transfer paper and the name of the brand? Thanks and God bless.
Charles Mason thanks

Hello, love watching your videos, they help out a lot I have a question when you get ready to print how to set the printer up, what paper type and the color settings ,i try printing out a cross it comes out real dark red color like it has much more ink then it should have on it ...if you can help thanks bunches God bless you
Definitely try plain paper setting. Too much ink with this paper is a bad thing.
Even in this video you can see I forgot to change the print setting. Wasted way too much ink. Hope you get things going. Stick with it
Hi Brandon, what would you recommend for cutting out images on transfer paper, let's say you only wanted to press your family picture without the background so your not left with a rectangular shape. Which cutter would you recommend for cutting for use with heat transfer paper?
The maximum print size for Print Then Cut projects with the Cricut Explore is 9.25" x 6.75" so if that's not big enough I would say you can go with the Silhouette Cameo which I personally have no experience with but always hear good things about.
You should put affiliate link so ppl can order and you get your commission. God bless
Charity Jackson I need to learn how to do that. Thanks
Charity Jackson thanks a million
Good video fam would you still recommend that in 2018 the ink seems pretty cheap..
pkilla617 not to build a brand. This paper would be for more like advertising, family events etc. Nothing to put online to sell.
Brandon Conner you speaking on the printer or heat transfer inkjet paper that is not good to start a brand with or sell
pkilla617 the paper, it's not like plastisol transfers. This is a good starting point to get things out but not something for a major brand
Do you use the branded printer ink that comes with your printer when printing? Or did you have to purchase special inks?
It's the ink that comes with it. They do have knockoff ink that's cheaper
Hello Brandon. Excellent video! What is the material of the pink t-shirt? Is it a Gildan dry blend 50/50?
Yes it is. The 50/50 dry blend are my favorite from the Gildan brand
That is good to know! Super helpful! Many thanks
Yes I just got me a printer yesterday. And synced to my Mac laptop.I have not turned on my laptop yet because I’m trying to figure out how can I put text on a picture and print it all out and have cricket trim around it
I meant to say I have not turned on my new HP printer yet I got a tangle HP printer is just a printer only
@@christinabarnes1105 oh so you would need to make sure you have an outline around the entire design. Does macbook have the app called ToolWiz? Its the only app i use to make outline. May need to search Mac apps that make outlines. Cricut will cut 6.75x9.25
This is an older video but very helpful! Do you still use the opaque paper? I found this opaque paper to be on the thicker side once it cools and its not the most comfortable. I've only printed a few shirts and they've all been with the Opaque paper on black shirts. I do have jet pro SS as well so wondering if that one feels better once done and cooled. Trying to start a little business just need to get the shirts down perfect!
Yes I do. It's good for temporary events. I wouldn't suggest it to to start a brand. The jetpro softstretch is soft to the hand especially after 1st wash.
This is a link to my video on jetpro softstretch ua-cam.com/video/TLPVOXixjcM/v-deo.html
@@urbanswagaddict Would you recommend anything else for printing designs for darker shirts? I know the jet pro SS isn't good on anything darker than a light grey.
@@jennileigh6208 you can purchase already made designs that's screenprinted transfers made to press on any color shirts.
Did you try washing the shirt to see if there was any bleeding? If so, how was it? Was it a cold wash, hang dry or did you dry it too?
I test it with cold wash and hot wash. Both stay the same. The hot drying is what i notice will cause it to start cracking over time. Air dry will last longer.
Hey Brandon good tutorial question for you . Why do my transfers on dark tshirts always feel like hard plastic once pressed ? Like a rough feel to it , do you think I'm heating my press too low 180 ° degrees for 25 seconds please help .
If that's in Celsius you should try dropping the temperature down 20 degrees and use medium pressure for 20 seconds.
@@urbanswagaddict cool thanks will try . Love the hat press by the way .
Did u buy the adrobe photoshop software? Is that needed
Queens Family no you don't need that. You can use any program to print and press
Can you print fashionable designs or only family pictures?
You can print anything.
Hi.I liked your video! I noticed that you are using a HP OfficeJet 7612. I have that one to. Can you please tell me what ink are you using with this printer? Are you using HP original ink cartrides, CIS, refills? It would be great to know. I have that printer sitting on my floor because first time I put a third party cart it started printing like sh... Thank you for your help and good luck Brandon!!

This is a link to the brand I've been using. It's been working with any issues. Didn't think it would be worth it considering the price.
Brandon i noticed you turn the t-shirt backwards, whats your reasons for doing that?
sir charles mason I do that to keep the neckline seem off the press for flat pressure. The seems can cause slight pressure issues towards the top of your print. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks!!! I got ya.
How do u make it softer .. my images always feel like paper and worse when out in the cold . Can anything be done about that ?
With this transfer paper I don't believe so. That's one of the biggest downsides with it.
@@urbanswagaddict didn't think so . Thanks for the quick reply
Hello friend for your experience which is the best transfer paper for dark shirts but with ink printers thanks
The 3g jet opaque is the best in my opinion. Plus it has a great price
Neenah 3g jet opaque
Can I use sublimation ink instead ?
MARIO DE LA CRUZ MELO the paper was designed for ink jet printing but I guess you could gldo an experiment with it. If you do please let me know if it's possible.
What if u have no parchment paper? Is just the Teflon sheet ok?
Jennifer H I'm not sure on that. Never tried. I would suggest you do a test on an old shirt before continuing.
Yep teflon is ok. If you peel hot you get a smooth silky finish. If you peel cold it's a more grainy feel. My understanding is that cold peel gives better wash longevity.
Thank you guys!!
Yes it is
Do u load it with white part facing down?
No, face up with this transfer paper. Its like a sticker paper
Mate what paper to print design on for inkjet printer and transfer to garment? Thank you nice video 👍
For light garments I use jetpro softstretch and for dark 3g jet opaque
Sorry got it now thanks
Thanks bro really appreciate
@@toaluasaleupolu7060 no problem
Can I use car vinyl for printing too? Thanks mate
Hi Brandon.. I need your help. I bought some jet pro soft stretch transfer paper. I want to put a picture of my dog with some text added to it. I have pictures of my dog on my MacBook laptop in my photo. I can’t seem to get it in cricut design space. Thanks. P.S. God is good. Thanks christine
You wouldn't need cricut to add font. Just use an app on your iPad, if you dont have one download from the app store. Im not familiar with apple. Do you have a printer that can print directly from macbook?
How does this hold up after a few washes?
It will last plenty of wash cycles it's when drying you have to be careful. The more heat the quicker the image will begin to crack
How many washes does this transfer paper last
Vinnie if you don't over dry them they can last over 25 plus wash cycles
hey bro is the ink you use pigment ink?
No, its dye based.
Where can i get my source of heat transfer paper from ??? Starting my own t shirts business

@@urbanswagaddict can you tell me the size and brand name of your press .
@@cartierkalel I bought this one off amazon from a company no longer sale this type. You should go to proworld.com they have great selections. I just purchased my hat press from them.
can i use iron’s heat
Yes you can. The paper comes with iron instructions. There should be some videos on people using hand irons with this transfer paper
Brandon Conner if i use iron heat what temperature should i use
@@leereivaj1872 make sure to empty out all the water 1st. On turn it to the (cotton/linen) setting. The paper should have an iron instruction. I'll try to look up a link for you
support.coastalbusiness.com/hc/en-us/articles/233069608-3G-Jet-Opaque-Inkjet-Paper-Application-Instructions?mobile_site=true
How big is that paper?
Its 16x20.
Hello are the Teflon sheets needed ? I own parchment paper
Myasia Myles it's something you would want to have in the near future. You can use something like a piece of construction paper over the parchment but definitely investment in a sheet of Teflon when you can
Laser or inkjet printer?
Wishbone Johnson ink jet
These heat transfers use ink so you would use a inkjet printer like epson or Hp.
I can't get my transfer to peel off
It can take a little practice. Try starting in a corner of the paper and use your nails to dig in between the two layers. Hope this helps. If you have lots of spare transfer paper use one cut it up to smaller pieces for practice peeling
