Hey Ed, Thanks for your response. We can sell some of the parts separately, but in the end it will cost much much more. There is a tremendous discount on the parts being in a kit. However, I have good news, we are only a few weeks away from having financing available on our website. Check back with me in a few weeks and we can see what we can do. Thanks!
If you are talking about actually converting to the 2.0T motor. Probably be cheaper to sell your 2.4 and find / buy a proper 2.0T. If you are asking about putting the turbo kit, onto the 2.4L, yes, we have had a few customers do that over the years. It's not 100% drop in, but gets you very close, just some tweaks to the intercooler and piping, but the majority of the hot side parts are the same.
Im on a lap3 stage 2 tune running 300 to 320 wheel horse so if i got this turbo kit and kept the same stage 2 tune what would i be roughly running at for power without the water meth
I've seen the videos, I've checked out your site, but I need more info. Emissions? Does it need a tune? and is it safe to run on stock internals, or what upgrades would u suggest? Is this a direct bolt on or does it require professional modding? 2012 sonata 2.0t limited. already have an Injen cold air intake and hks spark plugs along with an oil catch can.
The kit does not replace the factory CAT, so if you have a high flow CAT in place already and you are not getting a CEL, then the kit won't change that. There is always a risk on the stock motor, obviously there is a huge recall by Kia/Hyundai on the motors already, so there isn't a guarantee, but we have a few guys running the kits on stock motors close to the 370-400WHP mark with water meth and a tune. The kit does require a tune, we offer the BTRcc ECU option with the kit. The kit is direct bolt on, includes manifold, turbo, turbo outlet, wastegate, intercooler, intercooler piping, BOV, intake, air filter, couplers, clamps, mounting brackets, etc. It would replace your Injen intake. Let me know if you have any further questions and thanks for your interest.
Our kit connects back to any stock or aftermarket CAT pipe. So as long as the pipe you choose has a functional CAT, chances are you will pass. Our system does not interfere with any of the emissions sensors.
Absolutely, we would love to help and we ship worldwide! Best bet is to send an email to sales @ turbo kits . com and one of our sales rep will help get you sorted. Thanks!
We do not have a kit for the NA Sonata 2.4L, whereas a majority of our 2.0L kit would fit and work, it would be the custom tuning that would be the tough part. We are not aware of any tuning options for the 2.4L as most of the tuning and product development was put towards the already turbo factory model...
This was our generic TK5454 turbo. The kit is set to use any T3 5 bolt EWG based turbo, so anything from a GTX2867R up to a GTX3582R can be used, plus numerous turbos from Precision.
Yes we have had customers install on the 2.4L, it gets you about 90% there. You need some customization around the intercooler and piping, but most of the stuff on the hot side will drop right in! So if you are up for getting your hands dirty, it's a great option!
I can buy only the manifold with the turbo if already have the down pipe and front intercooler with the pipes, and the manifold and turbo have the same fit like stock? Please let me know I'm interest on this
Unfortunately not, our set up requires our piping. If you wanted to fab up your current piping to our manifold/turbo/wastegate combo, we could definitely sell it separately, but it will not drop right into place of the factory piping/routing.
That isn't something in our plans, sorry. Our kit is a full kit, meant to work together as a kit. We are more than happy to sell the manifold/turbo/WG combo separately, but getting it to work with each individual's parts would be up to them and their installer. Thanks.

@@1313jhicks Not sure on the bolt ons, Injen, AEM typically make CARB Approved Parts. Internals wouldn't really be needed for bolt ons and a mild tune.

Technically you could run it on the stock ECU Tune, but you would need to dial the boost way back. In order to maximize this set up a Canned Tune from BTRcc or a Custom Tune would be suggested.
We chose a larger turbo to keep peak torque higher in the RPM range, therefore "saving" the factory internals from the added stress. This car, other than the kit, water meth, exhaust and Level Ten Trans upgrade has bone stock engine internals. The original test car had 100K miles, 1 owner, 2012 model. Who recently turned up the boost and broke the 400WHP mark :)!
Turbnata !! Do it, you won’t be disappointed. This is my car and on my most recent dyno I turned the boost up and put down 411whp and 401tq on a stock motor that currently has over 119k miles on the car and motor which is all original since the day I drove it off the lot in 2011. This upgrade makes for a very fun driving experience.
TurboKits.com what level 10 upgrades were done? Was a better torque converter put in or the whole trans was bullet proofed? And wow 400whp?!?!? Thats insane!!!! Never thought to see that in a sonata! That just makes me love this car even more. Im just looking to break the 300 mark and i think i would be fine with that, is a water/meth blend needed for that or could i be fine with regular pump gas?
Antovius Whitley this kit comes with instructions and is easy to install but because it does replace the oem intercooler it will require you to remove the front bumper cover and the cover under the engine compartment during the install process.
Antovius Whitley yes, I dyno’d at 411whp/401tq on stock motor which is currently the highest whp stock motor 2011+ Optima 2.0t/ Sonata 2.0t and is the highest torque put down on a dyno in the US for the 2011+ Optima 2.0t and Sonata 2.0t platforms. The limitations is not with the kit but it is determined on the supporting mods as the kit is designed to support more whp/tq than the stock motor and trans can handle depending on turbo selection and etc.
