Ah, I LOVE that area of India, lots of good memories for my wife and I there! If we didn't live in Delhi we'd definitely live there too! Oddly enough, my background is also in IT, and currently my "day job" deals with big data storage and analysis.
I taught my little brother - BUMHOLE as a naughty word. Next day he called his teacher a bumhole. Mum had the school calling her and we both got in big trouble 👍🏼😁 It was early '80's.

Thank you, thank your wife too and mostly your parents for raising such a man of good character. Responsible people of integrity make me very happy!

Thank you for your explanation of what you do , and the reason you are so dedicated to India, although raised in New Zealand ! I have only watched a few of your videos, but had heard a couple of other travel vloggers mention your name . You seem to have very noble intentions in helping that country . I have seen lots of videos of India , mostly by Harald and Mr. Bald, so became interested in your channel. I am glad you have a goal to encourage cleaning up the country . I think more people who have the means to travel, would go there , if not worried about the hygiene and illness. Maybe one day you will be remembered for making India a cleaner and safer place to travel . I have enjoyed your videos so far ( the best one was when your family came to see you and your lovely wife in India . Thanks for sharing. I am a citizen if the USA 🇺🇸. I’d love to learn more about New Zealand !
I think a reason you love India so much is the heavy culture, coming from New Zealand I feel the same way. We are a very dull society with all respect.
India is definite World's greatest Diversity 🤓🔥 I am a Native Indian and last year I started my Channel to make everyone aware about India and it's languages, kindly check out 🤗
India is one of the oldest epicenter of different cultures and after soo many invasions it has survived and due to the regional and racial diversity you will feel the difference when traveling from one state to another, its like you've changed country. New Zealand is a island country and what we have learned from history books Australia and New Zealand and even usa are countries of immigrants so the culture and religion your ancestors brought with them should be the primary thing. But you can always come to India, explore and learn instead of reading random things about it on the internet.
Keep up the videos man you’re living my dream. I feel the same way about India but the funny thing is I’m Indian but I’m not from India but I wanna go so baddd because Im interested in learning about my roots and the culture and right now I’m just limited to Bollywood movies which has taught me a lot. So keep updating us with your travels and experiences because I am experiencing India through you. So thank you for what you do Karl I really love it. 😁
Hands down, I LOVE THIS GUY'S WORK and CHANNEL.!!! I was raised in a family of U.S. State Department officials and he really does help out foreigners in foreign places avoid scams and otherwise unsafe situations.!! Such a GREAT soul and Thank You for all you do to make awareness of some of these issues that plague the unsuspecting travellers that need to know beforehand. Truly an expert on Indian culture and the blend between East and West perceptions of it, as well as the concept of Right and Wrong.
Love it! I understand your channel better now and really appreciate it. I'm an Indian that's lived my entire life in India before moving to the UK 2 years ago and noticed a world of difference, both good and bad. Would love to contribute in some way too if possible to your channel and to developing safe tourism in India. Keep up the incredible work.
I'm here for every video you post!! I started watching your channel when my friend was travelling India solo and I was worried for her. Thankyou for educating me!
It's cool to have photos of the moment you met Manisha! I have a photo someone took of my first dance with my wife too (at an office Christmas party). You have made me realise that I must learn Hindi properly, in order to enjoy Hindi movies more and to be able to better join in family conversations when we visit my in laws in West Bengal (it's not fair for me to rely on them speaking English). Keep up the great work Karl - it's fantastic to compare your experiences of incredible India with mine :)

I'm in the "some people want them all" category. I love the variety of what you do and i hope you don't fall into the trap of many UA-camrs that tend to stick with a particular type of video based on views or whatever. I hope you feel free to make videos based on what you want to make. Some videos will obviously not do as well as others but in long run i feel that it's important you make the type of content you enjoy making, not the type of content you think UA-cam algorithm wants as that seems ruin the experience for most UA-camrs and if you stop enjoying making videos, then it'll show in your work, so please make what you enjoy. If you ever need additional income in the future and UA-cam isn't working, I'm sure if you ask for help, setup a Patreon and so on, people will help out and contribute. I also appreciate and respect your decision to never do sponsored videos but eventually may need to figure out different streams of income to keep going.

Thanks Cheryl! I just noticed you've been a channel member for 6 months now! Your badge just upgraded to the bronze mountain I designed. So cool! Make sure you email me via my website when you're coming to India next. I'll be making more personal videos this year. And more with Manisha. Im from Uttarakhand, nd love you You left at wrong time , the hills of Uttarakhand are receiving lots of snowfall , it's snowing outside and I'm watching Karl Rocks ,it's such a pleasure🤘🏻
it's the responsibility of people and not the government. the problem in India is that we rely on government too much. yes, they need to provide basic infrastructure but even if they provide we don't use it and defy orders based on our convenience. as long as people don't learn their role in the betterment of India, nothing will happen. That is what makes foreign countries different, people take responsibilities and things are done in the right way.
@@physics77guy I think it's both. While it is important for ppl to take responsibility for their country's cleaniness by adopting clean habits, the Indian government also needs to implement rules & regulations on cleanliness. They also need to incorporate cleaning etiquette & the value of being clean. For example, ppl should pay fines for littering. Chewing gum is banned in Singapore to prevent people spitting it out on the ground like it's often done. Also, in Japan children learn to be clean at school. They have to work together to clean their classroom at the end of each day. Cleaning time is part of students’ daily schedule. Including this element of social consciousness in the school curriculum helps the children develop an awareness of, and pride in, their surroundings.
@@Fan-nr9zp government do their part also but people just don't bother... nobody follows rules whether its traffic, hygiene or whatever. the people who has a job to implement the rules get bribes by people. so many things it's just the way things work, people just don't want to change. anybody who tries to bring change gets changed as it is an easy fix rather than changing people and their habits. they like to blame governments but when its time to do something from their side, they don't want to do it.
Karl I just wanted to say how inspirational you are you make me feel that I have to visit India its always been a country I want to visit thanks for all the information you give and the way you promote the country.
Nice to hear a story behind the Karl we know only as a vlogger. I get your love for India.I am originally from Ukraine and I visited India when I was 18, in 1996. I had to work 3 jobs to pay for the ticket there. India is in my heart too. I know what you mean when you say that. I ended up marrying a guy from Bangladesh and I love that country too. Thank you for your channel. I watch every video and love the work that you do. The way you have mastered Hindi is very admirable as well. I think you could even create a side-channel documenting your progress with Hindi and sharing with the rest of us who are learning it too.

However I love your videos and always watch it keep the good work up
i starting watching your videos from that pakistani chai wala trying to make you speak .... and then after i saw your love for india and most videos of your have a positive outcome to india
Im from Tauranga New Zealand and would love to go to India this year, but i dont even know where to start. You should set up a travel guide online or a how to travel to India.
Your love and passion for India is perfect example how people who move to New country of residence should feel! Not some lukewarm "eh, it's alright" kind of mentality! 💙💙💙
Thanks for the positivity and awesome honesty in the way you talk. Also enjoying your self-belief! Also to hear you decided a childfree life, as some people never hear that its a choice and no one should be pressured by society to do it, I'm the same.
You're living your best life and it's obvious . Very few people can carry enthusiasm and spread it to hundreds of thousands like you do One million subscribers by March .
Saying "Na" at the end of every sentence is pretty contagious after one point it becomes part of your vocabulary and you cant control it. I too was having this habit and it took me long time to get over it
I have Never been to India but your videos makes me want to experience it it looks amazing the only down side is the scammers but these days scammers are everywhere I really like your videos definitely the scam ones the look on their faces when you speak Hindi makes me smile keep up the good work
Karl when you come to Himachal, i want to meet you and i want to speak with you in Hindi. And here you will find very much diverse culture. You can cover so much. "He wants to make India clean"
WoW!!! That is our biggest problem indeed.... I hope Swacch Bharat Abhiyan will go a long way
it's the responsibility of people and not the government. the problem in India is that we rely on government too much. yes, they need to provide basic infrastructure but even if they provide we don't use it and defy orders based on our convenience. as long as people don't learn their role in the betterment of India, nothing will happen. That is what makes foreign countries different, people take responsibilities and things are done in the right way.

I think it's both.

21:10 There is a product called Bethane HCL and it lowers your stomach acid on the PH scale so that the food you eat can get digested properly, furthermore it helps against stomach bugs it kills most of the Bacteria in your food so that should help prevent those digestion problems while abroad.

Your love and passion for India is perfect example how people who move to New country of residence should feel! Not some lukewarm "eh, it's alright" kind of mentality! 💙💙💙
Love your video's Karl and I love reading the comments from others in your videos. Keep up the good work.
