My mom is Punjabi and her kulche naan is the best. Not to mention, being a Sikh Punjabi is the best. I don't care what anyone says, we have the best food, culture, and people.
Dude, Punjab is literally the safest state in North India, I’d go as far to say it’s comparable to the South in terms of safety.
Beautiful religion! Looking forward to visiting Amritsar, hopefully in this lifetime. 🤗
Come to Chandigarh and welcome to Punjab.
Welcome I'm resident of amritsar
Also what happened to Punjabis and Sikhs in 1984...

The kakaars are

Kangaa
Kara
Kirpaan

5:51 finally those statues are removed now because
1 they were at religious place so they think that it would be good to make statues of their sikh warrors instead of dancing people
2 also these statues tell people that punjabis are dancing every time which is not the truth.they are hard working

I love Amritsar and India. These Britishers divided us with borders but can't divide our hearts. Love from Lahore. ❤️
On March 13 1940, Udham Singh- a Sikh Punjabi freedom fighter- shot General Michael O'Dyer at a joint meeting of the East India Association and the Central Asian Society at Caxton Hall, London. Udham Singh did not flee from the spot and was arrested for the killing. During his trial, Udham Singh said he had waited 21 years to kill General Michael O'Dyer as the British official “wanted to crush the spirit of my people, so I crushed him.”
Michael O'Dwyer is different from Reginald Dyer. Just so you know .
They are also known to live in Canada!
USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand .....

Been watching in Australia for a while! My dad and I visited Amritsar February 2018! Loved it! Dehli was the worst place we visited because of the locals who are so rude an arrogant! But we still had a great time. Thankfully my dad speaks 4 languages and being Gujarati it helped!
Udham responded to what happened in Jallianwala Bagh as an eye for an eye? Wow, and that was the beginning of the movement towards India's freedom
Avery the Cuban-American it goes to show that government violence creates blow back.
Not the beginning, the first big thing was probably 1857 when the Hindu and Muslim Indian troops in the British Army mutinied because they found out their rifle cartridges were greased with both pork and beef fat.
I’m from the US and recently went to India and Amritsar. It was so awesome! Thank you for maki videos like this, I get too learn about my culture more when I’m at home!

When amritsari or punjabi see a tourist they tend to help them even if the tourist didn't ask
Hi Karl, I’m from Amritsar but currently living in Christchurch,NZ.
I actually grown up in Amritsar and spent my 24 years there. It’s a safe city for tourists but you can find dodgy people everywhere and being a border town we never felt unsafe here. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Amritsar. 😀
Karl next time u visit Punjab meet me I will tell u the real history of Punjab and sikh religion
Not to be that guy but Sikhism never started as a clan. It was when a man born Hindu didn’t believe in the ways of Hinduism and created Sikhism (guru Nanak) He never promoted violence and preached many good thing. But when the fifth guru was martyred, the Sikhs learned martial arts and fighting techniques to only be used to protect people in self defense, which is when they became the warriors they are considered now. That’s why they carry the Kirpan (the dagger/sword) for self defense
Nobel Laureate Ravindranath Tagore renounced knighthood given by the British Empire to protest against the Zallianwalabagh Massacre.
Any tourist will feel more safe and secure in Punjab then the rest of India...feel proud that punjabis are indian.

Whenever Jallianwala Bagh is mentioned, my eyes moisture.
Partition was terribly, biggest sufferers... Panjabi & Sindis.
Your videos are good...
But you should know Sikhs was not a clan or a tribe. It was started by Guru Nanak dev sahib who went against all form of blind ritual practices of Hinduism (all sects) and islam. Only after when the 5th sikh guru Arjan Dev sahib was killed by emporer Shah Jahan at the behest of his Hindu advisors. Guru Hargobind Sahib the 6th sikh guru put on weapons and kept a ready army for self protection.
You could just ask.... 😜

Reginald Edward Harry Dyer
Colonel Reginald Edward Harry Dyer, CB (9 October 1864 - 23 July 1927) was an Indian-born officer of the Bengal Army and later the newly constituted Indian Army.
He was apart of British army but wasn't British people who did that just saying, he was Indian actually bengal so were his forces.
Wow I love Karl BCS he is an honest man and not afraid to speak up the truth ..he earned more respect after speaking abt the current protest in Delhi abt cab and NRC...one like for karl
Punjabis are known for their bravery and sikh(punjabi)people are the most strongest people in world 21 Punjabi soldiers had a war against 10,000 Afghani soldiers and Sikhs killed over 600 afghani. And they didn't run away after knowing all 21 going to be dead
I am a Hindu and greatly respect Sikh religion.I have one one feedback about your Introduction. Policing is administrative function. You could have said that Punjab police is more efficient than Delhi Police. Please don't associate everything with religion. As you must have seen, we are fighting here to dissociate religion from public life as far as possible. India is passing through a tough time. So may be I am stretching it too much but that's how I feel.
Punjab will never forget 1984

Udham SIngh did not assassinate General Dyer as he died in 1927, he killed Michael O'Dwyer, who was the Lieutenant Governor of Punjab and ordered the attack, in 1940. Small error that needed to be corrected but overall good video.
Parmpreet Singh Gill
I think he ordered Dyer to enforce a curfew, not a massacre. I think there was a strike including the police.
I read “Freedom at Midnight” a long time ago. So could be mistaken.
Love Golden Temple Day or Night. Most decorated with lights when Sikh Guru Birthdays or Diwali. Must watch Diwali at Golden Temple Love Punjab 🙏🌾🚜🌹
My dadaji was at Jallianwala Bagh during the protest but he managed to escape the massacre. I do want to visit that place but the White sky bothers me, if the air quality is bad I can't go 😖
7:14 misinformation ..sikhism emerged from time of Guru Nanak Dev ji
"When there are no means left then it is right to pickup sword"
If you want me to be more precise ..there is no such things as different religion there is only one Guru Nanak dev ji and other Gurus just directed people to serve God
You guys have good video quality & good narration skills. But both of you need to read up a lot more to experience the places & take your subscribers through the experience.... so much history in Amritsar just mentioned in the passing.

Many people dont know general dyer was shot dead by a sardar udam singh.... For this act
I think the requirements to be a Sikh are: Kesh (uncut hair), Kangha (a wooden comb for the hair), Kara (an iron bracelet), Kachera (100% cotton tieable undergarment (not an elastic one)) and Kirpan (an iron dagger large enough to defend oneself).
